My wife and I stopped here on a whim. The museum is great, nice views and the staff is very informative. They also sell great local products as a bonus including a maple cream liquor that is wonderful in coffee or straight up.

This is a glorified taxidermy museum with entire floors of stuffed animals. There are about a dozen live animals, the most interesting one being a bald eagle. Hardly worth the $5 price of adult admission and the staff rudely speculated that my son was lying about his age for reduced admission. I reassured her he was in fact just 9 but she was still offensive. Don't bother. Skip it.

The collection of birds was well worth a visit to this museum and the curator was very informative. And, the store attached to it has about "everything maple" you can imagine.

This museum just oozes TLC and the passion of its curators/creators. What a gem for $5 - totally worth the stop. The live bald eagle and the owls at the end of the museum tour are fascinating and the cages that house these animals, which are no longer able to live in the wild, are so well done. Really heartwarming. Learned a ton [have no kids, but felt like kids when we were here].

we heard about this place from someone and never had time to visit during our ski trip. But there is always this great house at mountain top that everytime we drove by, I want to stop to enjoy the view. So this time we did, the scenery is just unbelivable beautiful especially it is after 6inch of fresh snow. Then we went in, there is this cutest country shop with a lot of cool stuff. Then my son made the discovery of the museum. How much they charge? almost nothing (2$ per kid, something like that). We spend hours there, talking to the staff, look at many and many items, reading the description, posing to take picture with the mountain lion (model), marveling at the bold eagle. It is really great. We truly enjoyed it. One of the best thing we did in this part of vermont.

Interesting is the best word I could think of to describe this place. It's definitely worth the $5 because there is no other place like it. It looks like a section of an old house that's been turned into a tourist shop. There's not much money put into it but I think whoever runs in has put a lot of effort into it. It's mostly stuffed animals but it should keep you entertained for a half hour or so. Great views from outside too.

We spent a day up at Hogback with my husband and three boys. The day was beautiful and we enjoyed a hike up the mountain as well as the Natural History Museum. We all really enjoyed the different animals alive and stuffed. It was really interesting to see and learn about Vermont animals. The birds and Eagle they have was amazing. Kids ages 11-4 really had a good time as well as my husband and I. Definetly check out this Museum. (FYI it is not located in Dover but in Marlboro Vermont)

It was interesting to see the stuffed birds and other creatures in the small three story museum.. Informative and well kept up..Had much information on the area wildlife.

We found this museum closed unexpectdly on a day it was scheduled to be open. It is not a typical museum, but rather a collection of stuffed birds below a souvenier shop.

There was plenty to see, and all at $5. Perhaps not the most interesting for little kids, but a fun stop.

Not much to see and somewhat boring but view nice.

We were very surprised a the amount and quality of the exhibits. They are going through an expansion, which should make it an ever better place.
