For the past several years we have been subscribers to the summer theater at St. Mike's and have enjoyed every play. Our two visiting grandsons attended one play over their objections and thoroughly enjoyed the comedy. That is outstanding praise and a great comment on the theater and their productions. All seats have a great view of the stage and we have yet to find a seat with an obstructed view. Acoustics are commendable and, since my husband is hard of hearing, we notice the quality of the acoustics wherever we go. He has no trouble hearing the productions her.The facilities are easily accessible and the staff is friendly and helpful. All in all this is a great way to spend a summer evening.

This summer theatre offers excellent professional theatre shows. We throughly enjoy this small intimate setting and professional presentations. The seasons pass is an awesome deal!

The Saint Michael's Playhouse is a small gem of a theater where four shows are offered each summer. The standout for 2014 was the closing musical, "Ring of Fire", but all four shows were great fun. Past seasons have drawn on Noel Coward, Neil Simon, Gilbert & Sullivan, "Fiddler on the Roof", and the music of Patsy Cline, as well as lesser-known plays. The Playhouse uses Actors Equity actors in many roles, giving the audience first-rate performances, while student interns have the rare opportunity to work with skilled professionals.Look for amazing sets, as the brilliant set designer makes full use of the small stage. It's always a delight to see what he can do, as he creates a smalll Russian village, Frankenstein's castle, a bar, laundromat, or just a hotel room whose various doors are key to the plot. There is ample parking next to the theater, and it is accessible, although the ramp is awkwardly designed. The theater itself is air-conditioned, and brand-new seats offer improved comfort.TIP: check out the season early if you can, and get tickets; the Playhouse sells out quickly.

Frankly, there is nothing better than going out to dinner and seeing a play at Saint Michael's Playhouse. The variety of plays and the talent they bring in is exceptional. Vermont is very lucky to have this summer series for 67 years. I can't imagine summer without it.

We have been buying season tickets to the SMC Playhouse for years. The shows are well produced and the actors are wonderful. The venue is small enough that you feel like you can be swept onto the stage. The performances range from funny to sing song musicals to dramas. My wife and I make it a standing date night and we love the shows. St. Michael’s College is a great campus with plenty of parking. This is a local treasure!

We attend all four plays during the summer and rarely are disappointed. The caliber of actors and performances brought to the Green Mountain are fantastic and should be experienced by everyone. This is a gem within our community!

We saw Nunsense. The seating is fine - there can't be a bad seat in the house. Set was interesting. There is plenty of parking. Restrooms are nearby. Volunteers were helpful and it was a fun show. Will be back again soon.
