When in town I usually stop by this antique mall. It's been here for many years. Lots of stuff to look at. Don't expect any bargains or great surprises. Discouraging to wade through all the junk but there are a few nice things to look at. I always go back.If you're used to country primitives, higher-end or where things this is probably not for you. If you collect little things, gilded things or fake stuff you can't go wrong here

A friend and I visited the sugar chest on a whim. Ended up spending several hours going through just about every inch of the place. Each of us found treasures. Some greatly discounted. I cannot wait to take several other friends there so they too can possibly discover a special find.

So, my fiancee and myself found what they the vendor claimed was a 19th century mantle clock, made in Germany. The clock looked good and had a price tag of usd 499. We liked it and asked if that was a firm price. The sales woman comes and acts like we are not supposed to make a deal with the vendor, but that she does the talking. So, she compliments the vendor and how nice the chimes sound and that how beautiful the clock is, etc, etc. Then she proceeds to ask him, what kind of a deal,he would make for us. He says quote " I can take a 100 dollars off", I look up and see a sign that the shop was offering 20% off anyways. So he was not doing us any favours. Anyway, my fiancee and I said we would think about it and get back to him and to the sales woman, who was pushy, I mean really pushing for us to buy it After walking around and talking, we asked the sales woman, if the vendor could do something better. She stated she would talk him into giving us 30% off, that would bring the price down to 350.00. We agreed. The saleswoman, just took the clock and started walking towards the counter to write the ticket, so that we could pay for it, not waiting for us to ask any questions. Throughout this ordeal both of them, when asked, if the clock was working stated oh yes, the vendor stated he just had it serviced. So, the annoying and pushy saleswoman is trying to get us to buy the clock, like without even checking it out. I insert the wiinding key in one of the winding holes on the face of the clock and. what do you know? The windup hole does not work. AH! I am not buying the clockThey are deceitful and trying to sell me a LEMON. The saleswoman was very annoyed that I wanted to check the clock with the key. This is not a pleasant experience but a learning experience and we will definitely not shop there again.

This antique mall is wonderful! I have shopped malls across the east coast. I have never seen a prettier and cleaner mall. My wife and I spent one full day of our week long vacation in the store!! Great place - we will return.

We recently wondered in The Sugar Chest Antique Mall after eating lunch nearby. My wife and I love looking for pieces of history and this store definitely has a lot of it. The store is a warehouse type building and they're currently rearranging some of their displays. You really need to take your time and walk up and down every isle because while some items were clustered together others such as the military pieces were spread out in three or four different areas. Some of the merchandise were replicas, or newer, but the majority are antique. The replicas were labeled as such and the newer items are easy enough to spot. We bought an old cast iron cobbler shoe stand to be a door stop and a vintage Pepsi advertising poster from the 50's. The staff were friendly and helpful. Looking forward to our next visit.

Recently there on a Saturday early afternoon to specifically buy 6 pieces of jewelry. I am very familiar with the fact that the dealers there negotiate their prices as most of the jewelry is from estate sales so should not be considered 'new retail.'Elaine at the jewelry counter is the only one allowed to work it. She is overwhelmed. My friend and I spent three hours there trying to work a deal with the antique jewelry dealer through Elaine. What was so irritating is that she kept on stopping the negotiations and she was helping other customers who were upset (and complaining to the front desk) that they had long waits to be helped. We watched two people leave after waiting more than 15 minutes and they complained to the front desk to no avail. By the time we could finally pin her down to call the dealer, Elaine was so short-tempered that halfway through our negotiation, she refused to allow us to speak to the dealer directly and she refused to call him back to give our offer. We later learned she was buying some of the same jewelry pieces for herself and therefore she had no desire to help us complete a deal. Not only did we completely waste 3 hours of our time, we were shabbily treated and the dealer gets cheated because when he sells to her, it's at an even lower price for him. We believe Elaine intentionally ruined the deal for us, wasted three hours of our time and ripped off the dealer. As regular shoppers here, my friend and I complained to the front desk. They couldn't have cared less. The place was empty of clients that day so they shouldn't wonder why clients probably head over to the Hillsboro Antiques Mall at the Festival Flea Market where we will be heading to buy jewelry. FYI-we were trying to spend about $2000 that Saturday.

Had a great time at this mall. Huge selection. Very high quality. I found most of my holiday gifts already. The jewelry selection is magnificent. The whole staff was busy but friendly. Two of them even got me further information on pieces I was buying. Thumbs up all around.

I have been to antique malls over this U.S. The Sugar Chest Antique Mall is one of the best I have visited. It is very large and has all types of collectibles and antiques. What I find most unique is how clean and beautiful the mall is. I visit Florida twice a year and I visit this mall each time! Kudos to this mall --- it has few peers around the country.

I wish I could give then LESS than one star. They sold me a vase for $3000 that was marked and sold as a Tiffany vase BUT appraised as a FAKE, FRAUDULENT, COUNTERFEIT vase. They refuse to return or exchange. They seem like nice folks but BUYER BEWARE THEY WILL DUPE YOU and tell you TOUGH LUCK.

I love this place because you can really find some mid century treasures. I am an avid collector and appreciate this place! Also great for one of a kind gifts. My teen daughter gets inspiration for her art work here.

Frankly I'm not an "antiquer" but I was looking for a gift for a friend who is. I just started to browse and I found the most amazing gifts for a fair price and had fun doing it. Staff was great. They have a great jeweler on site who does repairs, sizing, etc, I've used him three times and was pleased.

I had heard of this mall on the radio and took my best friend to go see it. We had a ball searching through the HUGE inventory that they had and they couldn't be nicer. They wrapped my purchases so they wouldn't get scratched and answered my many questions about the mall and maybe becoming a dealer there. They had people on the floor while I was shopping that helped guide me to what I was looking for, and when I left I mentioned to my friend, "Isn't it nice to shop somewhere where people are so nice and helpful"? I live in South Florida and I haven't seen a place where they have this much inventory and still organized so you can see everything! Wonderful place!

The place was nicely organized, but most of everything was priced high. The staff was nowhere to be found when I needed them and I was pretty much the only customer there. When I did find someone to help they were rude and told me to walk around, and they don't keep an inventory and have no idea whats in the place. Even though they seems to walk around all day, but they have no idea whats in the store. I guess they don't have eyes. NEVER GOING BACK!

Endroit intéressant a visiter , mais beaucoup beaucoup de cochonneries ! Les kiosques sont un peu trop rempli, quand même amusant à visiter par une journée de pluie
