The Golf Club at North Hampton (North Hampton) is an Arnold Palmer designed course that offers extraordinary value when measured against other courses in the area. It is a semi-private course open to anyone. It is surrounded by the North Hampton development and plays through nearly 3/4 of the development.North Hampton has many water hazards - nearly every hole. Strategically placed sand traps and waste bunkers force golfers to play for position, rather than just "gripping it and ripping it." With a slope rating of 144 on the tips, this course is challenging for gofers at every level. The clubhouse offers a small but decent pro shop, bar and dining area, both inside and outside. Food and drinks are well-priced. Parking is plentiful and there is a club drop so you don't have to carry your clubs from/to your car. There is a large putting green and fairly large driving range. Staff is friendly and helpful. As a bogey golfer, this is a difficult course for me. Again, this course is all about placement with few wide-open fairways. Many of the fairways are narrow or have numerous hazards that effectively limit the area to land a ball. The roughs aren't large, giving way to tall grass, so keep it on the short stuff. Many greens are guarded by multiple, difficult traps, but generally they are large and easy to hit (although they can be extremely fast). The course is generally is excellent shape year 'round.Help hints: I don't recommend searching for balls in the tall grass as (with all areas of Florida) there are poisonous snakes in the area. Those hitting longer drives (260-300 yards), may find playing from the blacks keeps them out of trouble on several holes. Pay special attention to water, as there are some hazards you cannot see from the tee boxes. In a few places the traps are very deep and difficult to exit. Rounds usually take just over 4 hours when busy. I've finished rounds in just over 3 during quieter times. If is sounds like I like the course, you're right. In the spirit of full disclosure, I liked the course and area so much that I purchased a lot backing to one of the fairways!

You will like to hit-em-up at North Hampton. The staff is very friendly, the cart girl is around quite often and the food is EXCELLENT.The course is tight on some holes and open on others. It has a good deal of sand but it is not tricked up at all. It is always in excellent shape with greens that hold and run true. Also they have 5 different tee boxes so it can be fair for everyone. It is also a MUCH better value than most of the high-end courses on the island.

Huge greens and wide fairways make for a very enjoyable but challenging round of golf. We have played several times with usually excellent pace of play . The course is not busy during the winter months but is well maintained and good value.

Played golf at NH today. The course is in great shape. The greens are perfect and rolling fast. Price is right! Food is great! People are friendly! The Director of Golf and the Head Golf Professional will go out of the way to welcome you. If you have not played NH yet, you are missing out on some good golf.

Challenging and forgiving golf course in natural Florida setting. Great place for a golf outing with brothers and/or buddies, especially the weekend of the Florida - Georgia football weekend. Comfortable clubhouse, good food and beverages and helpful and friendly golf staff

Arnold did a great job on this one. If you like lots of sand, water & elevation changes; you'll like this one. So much flora & fauna to look at you may get distracted. My wife loved the wild grasses with red seed pods. We saw many wild birds, turtles & even a few gators! I managed to play pretty well though so it must be fair. There's a lot of trouble, but with places to hit & stay dry.

Best value in the Fernandina area. Only $45 on a Friday. You cant beat the price and layout of the course. Will definitely play again

North Hampton Golf Club is a great venue with outstanding facilities and staff. I've played the course several times this year, it's in great condition and offers beautiful atmosphere. The bar, restaurant and pro shop are also terrific. I took several lessons from Ed their on staff Professional, he was able to really improve my game with great well communicated direction. thanks, Ed! The course is an Arnold Palmer designed course and green fees are very reasonable.

This is a Arnold Palmer course. Big greens that have many breaks. Lots of trouble but ample landing areas. This course starts off with a fairly simple straightforward par 4! But do not be deceived this is a hard course even at 6200 yards. Lots of different holes and shots to be played. Great Value and Great Golf!

the course. In good shape except for the greens were too slow. Dont look for a really memorable hole, but it was a solid course.

This course is in great shape, is an interesting layout and has a friendly, helpful staff. By going to: http://www.golfnow.com/ we were able to play for around $40. per golfer and that is a bargain IMO. Better be prepared to lose a ball or two....or three!

Overall the course was in good shape, there are two Hampton Courses North Hampton and South Hampton. This one is the more difficult one, make sure you bring a couple of extra balls. Fairways were in good shape, greens were being worked on. If you want a workout this is the one to play

Played this course on April 30th. Went out as a single but after 2 holes another single joined me. There were a pair of foursomes ahead of usCourse has a very nice layout. Water on plenty of holes but if you dont try to bite off too much you can get around it without much trouble. Course was in very nice condition. All staff I met (pro shop, cart crew, starter) were very friendly and helpful. Pace of play was decent. Finished in just over four hoursWe were staying at the Omni and had tee times there for the next two days and the price paid at Hampton North made it a great value play compared to the Omni.Definitely on my replay list for next time I come to Amelia Island

I have played it a number of time over the past 4 years. You can get a decent deal on Golfnow. I think we paid $60 most recently. @ $60 it is as good a golf value as you can get in the area. Today's greens were healthy, on the slow side but it rained yesterday & this morning. They are nice & consistent. The course is otherwise in nice shape. You get hints of Scotland in the layout. Folks are very welcoming. It is a tough course from the Blue tees, manageable from the whites. You can loose some balls there. Clearly in my top 5 public courses in the JAX area.
