This is a busy course given the cost but doubt we will return after our last experience. We've played several times over the last couple of years but this time was the worst. The starter was rude and pushed a group ahead of us that had a later Tee time. Not that it mattered as we were often lined up with 4 groups ahead of us. Way too many people on the course and the marshall is completely unable to move things along. It was like playing best ball in a tournament without the benefit of any type of beverages! Not a good experience, even for novice golfers.

This golf course is reasonably priced. It is a wonderful golf course. Well maintained. New Golf Carts. The course has amazing views. And the staff is very helpful.

Very nice shorter course, a couple of par 4's are drivable and the par 5's are reachable in 2 but the sand traps are deterrents. I found it best to play safe. Enjoyed every minute, the players helper and starter were very nice and helpful. They made my thanksgiving day outing with my wife one to remember. I will definitely play it again when I visit the area again.

The course is very nice, a lot of up and down and there are plenty of sand traps to keep you busy. Very resonably priced for this time of the year.

Ch Chi Rodriguez Golf Club is one of the secret gems in the Clearwater/St. Pete area. It's a shot-maker's course with great variety in hole design. The staff is mostly volunteers who understand the services that visiting golfers want, because they want the same courtesies when they're playing, not working. Prices are always reasonable regardless of season. Easy to get to from Tampa. Home to The First Tee of Clearwater. Have fun!

I played three golf courses in Clearwater 5-13 May 2014: Belleview Biltmore, Clearwater Country Club, and Chi Chi Rodriguez. Chi Chi was in the best condition by far and Clearwater in terrible condition. Clearwater lacked water jugs and ball washers on the course. Broken tees had not been picked up in days. Tees were so near the previous greens to create a dangerous situation unless you didn't hit to the green until the next tee was clear, which slowed down play. Biltmore was in OK condition except the greens were so slick with sand that I almost fell down leaning on my putter to get my ball from the cup! It was also the most expensive of the three. For the best course for the best value, play Chi Chi ($22 for 18 with cart)!

Except for a rude staff member, we enjoyed a round of golf at Chi Chi's. The course was in good condition and the pace was ok. We had a group of new golf ears in front of us but we saw an opening and jumped over them. I would recommend if in the Clearwater area.

We hit Chi Chi's at the start of a 4 day, 5 round Florida swing. The range was great and the course was fun. Only played nine holes, but good to get some swings in. Greens were in tough shape.

Fairways were in very good condition and a very nice color of green. The greens, especially the first four were not in very good condition. The course seems to have been on wetlands because if you don't keep your ball on the fairways, it's either going to be in a lake, drainage are a or in mud. Loved the layout though but accuracy is a must.

Far and away one of the coolest courses that is not a full length par 72. Plenty of challenges here even if its not distance. We had a blast!

We played this course with a couple of nice guys who called themselves "hackers" and indeed they were, but the course itself is not that bad, it's not great but it's easy enough to be good fun at times. There were one of two tricky little holes that were a tad testy and livened the game up, the 18th hole is particularly testy, I actually lost a ball on that hole!!!

Enjoyable golf course with 3 free balls. Fairly short course so scored well. Reasonable green fees but too many par threes which caused hold ups.

Had a great time playing this course and played with a couple from Canada. A really nice, somewhat challenging (Greens) a total enjoyment. Can't wait to go back

Usually crowded in winter with older players expect slow play and back ups along the way. Course is in good condition most of time. Plays tight on most holes bring a supply of golf balls and watch out for the gators...
