The people in the jaguar cafe had no right cooking they can't even read the 3 taco combo came with beans and rice I got rice and no beans when I brought it to their attention a girl named Amy rolled her eyes and was saying beans weren't on the menu I pointed to the menu very clearly stated beans and rice then she got her manager it got worked out but the point was she rolled her eyes and had an attitude everything else is great this year was wonderful the animals were happy and healthy and all the attractions are great

Don't think this is your average run of the mill zoo. It is something to see. The tiger habitat is amazing. I was blown away. Airboat rides offered on the river. Zoo was clean and landscaping around everything is absolutely gorgeous. Staff was super nice. Great day. We loved it.

We really enjoyed this zoo. For its size, it has a lot to offer. We loved it just as much as our kids did. Very easy to get around.

Even on a cold day (for a Canadian, no less!) the beautiful birds, animals, fish and lizards, etc., of the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens put on a magnificent show for me. I was one of the very first visitors of the morning, and a stunning peacock even came strutting out of a corner over to greet me.The sea lion show was fantastic (and brought about lots of laughs from the crowd), the giraffe enclosure and staff was the most impressive I have ever seen. I spent a lot of time there. Jaguars, Tigers, Lions, even the Kimodo dragons (only little ones were on display due to low temperatures) were very impressive.

I think the Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens is the best attraction in Jacksonville. The enclosures are large, clean, and match natural habitats very well. The landscaping is teaming with well-designed gardens that would make this a great attraction even without animals. The staff is great too! The woman who oversees the alligators went way above and beyond to answer a question I had. You could tell she was definitely passionate about caring for the reptiles. If you get the chance, go to the Brew at the Zoo! It is awesome!

This is a fantastic zoo. Not only does it have animals, it has gardens of exotic plants, and flowers. They have a small train that takes you around, and you can get off and on at different stops, the kids love it. We go a couple of times a year.

I've been to zoos all over the US and a few foreign countries and this zoo is one that really seems to try to house the animals in natural surroundings. We visited on a Monday, which was not at all busy. It was a leisure four hours without crowds and a mild day. You can't predict how the animals will be so catching some of them can be a little trying. The arrangement of the zoo is a bit odd, basically a single path that you must retrace to exit so we used the tactic of always taking a right. This allowed us to maintain a single, efficient path around and return to the front entrance without seeing much of it twice. The train, merry-go-round and stringray bay where additional costs. We weren't interested but if you have small children, the value ticket that includes them may be worth it.

This zoo just keeps getting better. If you're older they have a wonderful Asian garden with coy ponds and fountains while everyone else explores. There's a petting zoo for the sting rays and a butterfly garden but the tiger attraction is unlike any you've ever seen with tigers walking above you on a bridge. young or old this is a wonderful zoo that continues to better year after year.

At least twice a year, we hit the Jacksonville Zoo. All zoos are just plain fun and entertaining to me. Never have had a bad time here. Makes this 64 year old feel like a little tike again.

My granddaughter LOVES going to the zoo. Since she was three, her parents bought family passes to the zoo. It is clean, well-maintained and constantly being improved. The zoo is divided by continents and the Australian and Asian exhibits (I believe) are the newest ones. It is a good place to spend a few hours with nature. Lovely afternoon

Traveled from Savannah to visit for a day. The park wasn't over crowed and was incredibly clean. Staff was awesome food wasn't crazy expensive, 16$ for two meals! Only sad part was I purchased some items from the gift shop when leaving and the cashier didn't put my stuffed monkey in the bag.

We spent part of a rainy Saturday exploring new areas of the zoo and loved it. The Sea Lion show was impressive and the new Tiger habitat is breathtaking. Jacksonville definitely has something to be proud of with their zoo. I much prefer it over the National Zoo and other zoos I have visited.

I have been to many many zoos and this zoo is made for children of all ages! All of the animals are at a child's height. The zoo has so many wonderful exhibits for all different types of animals. We usually go a couple times a year. They have wonderful Halloween and Christmas events that are fun for all ages. If visiting Jacksonville, this is A MUST!!!!

I have visited the zoo since childhood, and now love taking my two grandsons. It's wonderful to see how the zoo has grown and changed, and inaugurated some of the most progressive habitats in the United States. The Wall Street Journal cited our zoo a year ago for its amazing tiger habitat. Lots of interactive exhibits, and the gardens are particularly beautiful. A superb zoo.

We visited the zoo on a cool, cloudy day and that turned out to be a great idea. Almost all the animals were out and about and very active. Our favorites were the giraffes which you can feed and the Tigers. Also witnessed a gorilla carrying around her little one. We felt the admission was fair - AAA rate was $15.25 for adults and they do NOT charge for parking which is refreshing these days. Zoo guides and staff were friendly and informative. On the down side a lot of the zoo seems old and run down and desperately in need of some TLC. But we also saw several areas closed and being worked on so I think it will become better in the future. Was an off time of year to experience the gardens in all their glory but of course that's just nature. Found rest rooms to be very run down and kind of dirty. But overall we had a wonderful day and enjoyed the animals very much.
