boston's on the beach

For those of us that can't get New England Seafood this is the next best thing. The pot roast and the Crab Cake Sandwich are aa few recommendations.

Saturday,our first night in Delray,and we visited Bostons after already having a meal elsewhere. A really good atmosphere with lots of diners and drinkers. We sat at the bar and had very good service, the only trouble was that the drinks seemed very weak, not quite what we have come to expect on our vacation. The food looked really good and we were tempted but resisted due to large meal just prior to our visit. The band came on at about 9pm and we left after only two numbers, the female singer with the see through top and short skirt was only there for that reason alone, she had a dreadful voice and her musicality was just as bad, embarrassingly bad.

I was visiting my parents and was recommended to Boston's, I'm also from Boston so I was curious.There is lots of sports banners and it was fun to be taken back to my days in Beantown.The Delray beach and many of the other towns restaurants are loud usually with piped in music and big screen TV's playing at the same time. The day I went Boston's had a very good band playing that seemed to have a following. I ordered the perfectly streamed twin lobsters with corn and red potatoes and my partner enjoyed a generous lobster salad. I can not vouch for anything else on the menu that featured a lot of fried food but the lobster were good! The location is right across from thebeach, too.

We enjoyed a nice dinner here during vacation. The prices seemed to be just a little high, but everyone in our party really enjoyed their food. It was a little noisy but not too bad. There is a stage but there was no live music the night we went. They have memorabilia for all Boston sports teams.

Sports bar meets beach club atmosphere...Dinner was good, everyone in our party seemed fine, across a prety wide array of entrees. Service was attentive. Will definitely go back.

Don't waste your money on the Key West platter. The shrimp were good but the conch fritters were not eatable. The waitress ignored the fact they were left on the plate.

Hands down my favorite place on the beach to grab a bite. We are local so we dine here often. Have never had a bad experience. Super casual atmosphere, yet attentive service. Flip flops, shorts, bathing suits are welcome. If you sit outside, you have a view of the ocean. Inside even has tables with their own individual flat screens. I have food allergies and staff is always knowledgeable about the menu items. Make sure you try the blackened mahi and if it is on the specials list for the day, get the island cobb salad w jerk shrimp.

Have been eating at Boston's for well over 15 years, but only once a year, when visiting relatives. Great seafood - had Ipswich steamer clams and a lobster salad. Best sweet potato fries around. Full bar available plus frozen drinks.

We visit family in Delray Beach a couple of times a year. Every time we visit we spend some time on the beach. At least once every visit there we do Boston's for lunch. We have eaten there and we have taken the food out to eat on the beach. Either way the food is great. I usually enjoy the seafood platter. Looking forward to our next visit there.

We love going to Boston's for lunch and sitting outside to enjoy the beautiful FL weather. BUT, for some odd reason they are now closed betw'n 11am - noon, even though they have a brunch and lunch menu. How can a restaurant, that's right on the beach, close on a Saturday at the beginning of the lunch hour? We wound up going next door to BurgerFi, which was okay.

Went down to Boca to see the family and decided to take some time away from the family. Found out about the Blue Tuesday at Boston's. They have national acts that come here on an off night. It is a great deal. Hearing national acts up close. The bartenders were very helpful and the customers were friendly and more than willing to talk about music seen. The customers were there to hear music so there was not that loud obnoxious talking that I see and hear at a lot of music venues. Try a Tuesday out at Boston's.

Will walking on the beach in Del Ray we came across Boston's where we heard great music from inside, so we stopped in for a drink. A lot of people, music was loud but we had a great time.

The first time I came to Boston's I really enjoyed myself. t was loud of course and full, but efficient and the food was great. I went today after spending the day at the beach to be continually disappointed throughout the meal.It took a while for someone to take our drink order. I ordered steamers and peel and eat shrimp as appetizers for the table. The steamers were so gritty I couldn't even eat them, my boyfriend graciously traded with me. I ordered a pina colada and had to ask for it to be slushier because it literally tasted like a prefixed mix was just chilled and hadn't even been blended. I kindly asked that my drink come a little slushier and to no avail the second time. ( Charged for two 17.00 imitation pina coladas.) Then my boyfriend ordered a burger for both of us and for some reason the waitress only brought one burger. By the time I was finished eating, his food and just arrived. I had also asked that our burgers be medium and they were well.What a disappointment. My check ended up being an $88 waste of money and I can't even believe that no compensation was offered until I asked to speak with a manager. Our waitress was Jen and I was visibly annoyed with this meal, it is my opinion that service recovery takes place on impact, not after your swipe my card for a less than satisfactory meal.If I do come back, it'll be completely because it is convenient, not because it's a place I want to dine.

I always love coming here. The atmosphere is always great.I love the sox and this is the place to watch them. Food Is great and service is good. The bathroom is very clean.Fun place to watch the game.

Food was o.k., but it was so loud inside at 5:30 dinner reservation that we couldn't carry on a conversation with friends.
