Coral Castle in the most interesting attraction in all of Florida. It goes unnoticed by many, thinking it's some kind of fantasy site. It is not. It is a engineering wonder, yet to be explained by anyone, how "Ed" the creator, was able to accomplish what has been constructed. There is a "castle", so to speak, which is the exterior wall built from 20 ton slabs or coral, excavated from the property. "Ed", the builder, is responsible for all of it. He built furniture and moving doors from these rocks, using primitive tools All of this was done by "Ed" alone, without help! He was a small man on a mission to create something, for reasons not completely known. There is also an astronomy interest to explore with some of the construction done. Botanically, it is a beautiful example of tropical foliage. You get a guided group tour, and a pamphlet to follow it with. You will leave there, wondering, like everyone else, "How did he do this all by himself?" This is my favorite attraction in all of Florida, and the first place we take new visitors. I might also add this place is pet friendly, Your dog is welcome inside with you.

Visited this amazing museum today and was blown away how a 100 pound, five foot man built this castle with simple tools and all by himself! Truly amazing! A must see!

This was an interesting place with free guided tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and fun. He was also easily understood and loud enough to be heard. The story behind the place is remarkable. I am glad we stopped to see it, and it was worth the price of admission. However, I wouldn't recommend going far out of you way to see it and probably would not go back to see it again. Its the kind of place to go to when you are already in the area but I would not plan a special trip just for this attraction.

We visited the Coral Castle en route the Everglades, thought it sounded like a fun and quirky place to go... and we were right! This was a lot of fun, definitely different than anything we had seen. The admission comes with free guided tours, and the tour guides were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, told many stories and anecdotes! While I'm not sure I'd drive down from Miami just to see this, if you are en route to the Keys or the Everglades definitely is worth a stop!

Earlier this week, I took a house guest with me to see the Coral Castle after having seen various shows on History Channel about this remarkable attraction. While the cost for two seniors was a little pricey at approximately $25 per couple, I thought that the tour guides were extremely knowledgeable and sprinkled their talk with interesting facts and figures. The structures are truly unique and the work of one dedicated craftsman who had a vision and the knowledge to produce a variety of massive works without any meaningful assistance. It's an interesting story, at once sad while also being uplifting to see what one man can accomplish over a lifetime.

Interesting story line, but do not go out of your way to see this attraction. If you are in the immediate area looking for something different and to kill some time, then go for it. A bit expensive for what it is, which is not a lot.

We had a week in the Miami area based in Homestead. This is an interesting local attraction, We thought the tour guides we interesting & charming. A little pricey but worth the couple hours we spent there.

If you want a one-of-a-kind visit, this is the place! The story of the owner/builder is amazing, and it makes you appreciate how "different" people succeed in their own way. The guides make it quite captivating and personal. I didn't know anything about this site, but came away wanting to catch one of the mystery episodes on TV to compare my experience. This is a unique experience and much better than I had expected. The gift shop is nice--something for everyone.

This place is very interesting. Tour guides are great. I thought admission was a bit too high but why not support the local economy.

Having seen numerous TV programs/features over the years about the Coral Castle (and it's rather mysterious architecture) I was curious to see it for myself. The entry fee is substantial however the guided tour makes it very worthwhile. As another reviewer pointed out, you simply start a tour at whatever point it's at, then pick up another one to catch the parts you may have missed. No waiting! The castle itself is amazing and reflects, I believe, a true genius. A monument to love, and a true labor-of-love. Highly recommended!

We stopped in here on our way to the Keys. I was with 3 people from out of town. Two of us have been here years ago. The story of the man who created this is impressive and heartbreaking. He was probably ahead of his time and yet not recognized in the history books. He was very creative in his idea, and how he carried out his plan is a mystery. Our tour guide presented his story well and even seemed to personally admire "Ed." Be sure to stop in and set a spell.

After paying $32, I was at first very disappointed...however, the longer we stayed there, the more enjoyment we had. The escort you in and you join a tour in progress and then you just stay for the next one until you get to the same spot you started. I liked this because you are not standing around waiting for the next one to start. I would advise staying for another tour if it is with a different guide because you will get even more out of it as they will give you little tidbits that the other person didn't.

A very unique monument to a lost love. The entire attraction was the work of one man who built everything out of coral, including furniture, a version of a telescope to view Polaris, and a 9-ton door. If you are in the area, this is well worth your time.

This place is beautiful and calm, when you arrive there is a very peaceful feeling. You can get a discount card on your first time there if you are from Florida and you get free admission for two years if you bring a paying adult with you. Most of the tour guides are full of interested information and can explain a lot about the science and other theories of how coral castle was built.
