I have fished with Captain Mike for over 15 years. What started with a "bucket list" desire to catch a tarpon has turned into an annual trip that can't be missed ! Mike is a super experienced Captain that knows where the best spots to fish are on a daily basis. His boat and equipment is all first rate, safe, clean and state of the art. You won't find a more knowledgeable captain with more helpful first Mate (Vinny) than captain Mike. He knows where the fish are and when the conditions aren't perfect he will find you the fish and put you on them! You will have plenty of opportunity with Captain Mike! Worth every penny!

My husband and I have chartered in Boca Grande for many years with Captain Mike Manning. In our opinion he is the BEST! He always knows where the Tarpon can be found and has us in position to catch Tarpon. It is truly an art to catch Tarpon. To get the biggest thrill out of fishing for Tarpon, it is imperative that you are with someone that has years of experience, knowledge, personality and top of the line fishing gear and boat....and you get all of that and more with Captain Mike. My wife and I hired Action Fishing Adventures to take us Tarpon Fishing in Boca Grand. The one problem was that Tropical Storm Debby had come up the coast and really messed up the water the week before our trip. We knew the fishing was not going to be real good due to this storm. The Boca Grand Pass that is famous for Tarpon was deserted so Captain Mike and his mate Ryan took us to several areas around Boca Grand in search of Tarpon. To start with, his boat is new. It is beautiful and it can really haul a$$! His fishing equipment was first class so we were happy that we were not using old or cheap gear. We spent half a day out there and had 3 nice hits. We got two of the tarpon up to the boat and released them. The third spit the hook after he went air born. We got some pictures that we will post,They were both friendly and made us feel comfortable. Many of the fishing captains are good at fishing but lack people skills. These guys were good at both.Their prices were the same as the other fishing guides. Their boat and equipment was better than most. They appear to have been fishing the west coast of Florida for that last few decades so based on what we experienced they new the areas and techniques for getting fish. Talking with others at the marina that had gone fishing that morning as well, they had caught nothing. So we felt good about our three hook ups. Other points of interest. These boats for fishing inshore don't have bathrooms. Not a big deal for us guys (but women might take issue). There is little shade on these boats so lots of suntan lotion, hats, and cool clothing is needed. We brought a small cooler with drinks and snacks which was a good idea.All in all we had a great time.I would have no problem recommending them to friends and family.
