We went as a family in August if 2014. The exhibits were nice and interesting. Our 9 year old liked it the best. It was clean and had a variety of things to look at in different rooms. I just wish it was a little bigger for the money.

The Aquarium is located on the South Beach causeway and visitors can tour the historical museum and the aquarium for one modest donation. The aquarium is small but filled with examples of local fish and aquatic vegetation. It's a great place to take children since everything is accessible to them and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The entire park includes a protected beach, perfect for small children, as well as a fishing pier and the historical museum. Thanks to the county managers for setting this land aside for the enjoyment of residents and tourists alike.

I was fortunate to arrive at feeding time when a special guided tour takes place. For the $3 admission fee (for seniors over 55) you can't go wrong!

This is not worth going out of your way but if you happen to be at the place, do stop in. It has a touch tank and lots of good info

Beautiful huge tank full of live coral and fish as you enter the building. Could've stared at it forever! Lots of smaller tanks throughout from salt water to fresh water. Even had a small touch tank that we enjoyed most of all. Spent about an hour but for the price of only $4 per person it was well worth it.

Visited during feeding time so a guide explained the significance of each tank as the fish were fed. For under $5 it was a real treat.

They have some very unique species here that I have never seen. We saw a baby boxfish and a dwarf seahorse. The educators were excellent and made the exhibits even more interesting. Cool touch tank too!

This is a small, but very "user friendly" aquarium. There were not many people there so we had lots of time to view the exhibits read the information and take our time. It was very informative and had a variety of teaching models. The staff were informative and helpful. I would highly recommend bringing children here, as the exhibits are fun and many things aimed at young people. I find that large aquariums can be very energetically draining as too much to see and do. This one, gives you loads of info, is fun and yet you're in and out of there, feeling like you can carry on see more sights!Reduced price for seniors (55 and up). Great ball caps in the gift shop!

The aquarium isn't big , if you expect large tanks, this is not the place. However the staff is very friendly and the exhibits are very educational about our local eco system, something we should all be aware of. The touch tank is fun for all ages, get a shrimp manicure, touch a sea cucumber, horseshoe crab or urchin.

Adults and children alike will enjoy this reasonably priced local aquarium. Each group of 5-10 people (depending on attendance) gets their own well-informed guide and the learning and visual experience is very good and worth the visit.

Once I told my grand daughters about the shrimp that clean your fingers in the Please Touch tank, they were ready to go. This small aquarium, jam packed with our local sea creatures, is just great. We enjoyed the saltwater tanks magnified barnacles, baby octopus, moon jelly fish, starfish, lionfish! and much much, more. This Aquarium entertained our teenagers and ourselves alike. It is so well done and cared for and quite a bargain. We combined our visit at the Aquarium with the nearby local history museum and had a wonderful time. Would highly recommend doing this. Enjoy our lovely museums!

We started our morning at the Ft Pierce green market then proceeded to lunch at the 2nd Street Bistro restaurant before deciding to check out the Aquarium and Historical Center. What a wonderful little Aquarium! The gentleman at the front desk was very informative. The exhibits are wonderful and all the animals healthy and the tanks well taken care of. We then headed to the Historical museum! The size is deceptive as we spent at least an hour enjoying the displays. Make sure you tour the restored house on the property. We loved our tour guide Daniel as he lived in the house as a child. Daniel's personal antidotes brought the past to life!

The aquarium may look unassuming at first, but a closer look reveals there is much to see and to do. We have learned a lot about sea life in this area. The staff is very friendly and informaive - thank you Sonia and Adrianna for sharing your knowledge with us.

This is a small museum, but in conjunction with the nearby St. Lucie County Regional History Center, you can spend several pleasant hours. The 2 museums are only A 3minute walk from each other and a combo ticket for the 2 museums is only $5. The highlights of this museum are a touch tank, a mangrove ecosystem, and several reef ecosytems. There are some great tshirts for sale here, somewhat inexpensive, and the change color in the sun...I bought one with sharks. The 2:30 feeding of the fish in many tanks is not tobe missed ... especially the lionfish.
