I have used them 3 Times. The first time, I rented a pontoon boat back in July 2013. When I took it out we went to the north side of Anna Maria Island. From the looks of it, it seemed like we were pretty far a way from the Island. I decided to dive in, and ended up hit my head on the sand. I was sure fooled by the waves and the distance from the island. I could stand up and the water reached me midway up my torso. That day we found a bunch of sand dollars out in the sand. Out there, It is absolutely gorgeous. I went the next day to rent a waverunner for an hour. Since my ex was too afraid to ride at high speeds, I dropped her off and rode on my own. This is where I got the idea that money does bring you happiness. I was out riding as fast as the waverunner went. Hitting the waves and even felt like I got some air at times. This was by far one of the best experiences I have had. Early on, the waverunner sucked up some grass so I had to jump out and reach under to get it out. When I did, there were a couple of dolphins swimming around. The hour went by so fast and left me wanting to go again!!The last time I went, was May of 2014. My cousin came to visit from Chile. It was his first time in the United States. I took him out here and we both rented a waverunner each for 4 hours. Chris helped us pass the boating test and we were off. We visited a nudist beach (poor timing on our part) It was mostly a few old men walking around naked. Chris said it is much better on the weekends when the hooters girls are there. The water is so clear out there we could see stingrays swimming around by our feet. We ended up taking the waverunners all the way out to Redington Shores. It was a hell of a ride. On the way out there, we saw a couple of dolphins as well. You have so much freedom out there, it was an extraordinary experience!!! We rented the waverunnes for 4 hours. Rode 2 hours north and 2 hours south to get back. On the way back, the waverunnes had an alarm that kept going off. It was indicating that we were running out of fuel. We barely made it back with the amount of gas we had left, although we left with a full tank. So its a good thing that they have a maximum 4 hour ride. When we got back, we were 15 minutes late, so we got hit with a late fee. I was so tiered from riding and hitting the waves that I almost fell over when I got off the waverunner. The woman that works there has a very unique name, I want to say her name is Blossom. I feel like that wrong. Either way, she is very nice and helpful. She made my experience that much better. Next time I am down in that part of the country, I will make sure to pay them a visit. They are reasonably priced for the experience. The weather and views are breathtaking. If you keep your eyes open you are sure to see plenty of fish swimming around. Make sure you take some sunblock. When you are having fun in the water you can easily forget to protect your skin.

My husband, father-in-law, one of his friends and I went on a 6 hour deep sea fishing charter with Captain Chris and his mate Travis just before Thanksgiving. We had a GREAT time!!! I am a complete novice and was a little nervous when we set off but had an absolutely awesome time and caught lots of fish. Everyone really had a lot of fun and I can highly recommend going with these guys. They were friendly and professional and really helpful considering it was my first time doing this type of fishing. When we returned to dock they did a great job filleting the fish that we caught for us and we enjoyed some great dinners! All in all it was a really good trip and I'm really glad we did it!

The staff were very helpful. They gave us great advice on where to go along with detailed maps of the waterways for easy navigation. We got two pontoon boats. We took them out to some great sand bars around the area and had a blast for my brothers bachelor party. Would definitely recommend these guys. The location is good, and the price can't be beat. And the staff was great to work with.

This is the first year I’ve ever taken a tour on a jet ski and it was by far the best experience I’ve had in four years of renting jet skiis in this area. If all you want to do is zip up and down the bay then don't bother with a tour. But when you’re in an area as interesting as Sarasota Bay/Anna Maria and want to do some sightseeing, as well as speeding along upwards of 50 mph on flat water, then by all means spend the extra money. You won’t be disappointed. My guide, Chris, took me all over the Bay, including through a mangrove tunnel. He’s a font of information on the abundant fish and fowl and on the history of the area. He tailored the tour to my requests, which included taking a look from the water at some of the mega million dollar houses along the bay. I can’t say enough about how delightful and accommodating he and his wife Blossom were in making this a memorable experience. This will be on my bucket list every year from now on. The only thing I will do differently next year will be to include guests.

This was my second time out to H2O Watersportz for a jet ski rental. Today we went out for two hours and headed south towards Sarasota. We stopped at the sandbar near Jewfish Key and then headed on down longboat key to see all of the mansions from the water. After hitting the end of the channel we darted over to the Cà d'zan mansion in Sarasota. On our way back we hit Beer Can Island and then played around in the waters over Coon Key. After a little making out we headed back towards Bradenton Beach to return our ski.The best part of our trip? The pod of no less than 5 dolphins that came within mere feet of us! Truly unforgettable.Chris and Blossom were really friendly and helpful. Blossom even recognized me from my trip back in June 2013. I've shopped around, and they've got some of the best rates I've found. I'd call ahead for specials. They also offer discounts for repeat customers thank you very much. The jet ski was in really great condition and we really hit full speed on the smooth waters behind Longboat.A few tips:1. Run into traffic heading West on Cortez? Stay in the right lane all the way and hang a right on 119th Street, which turns into 126th Street, and leads right to H2O (Park at the Seafood Shack.)2. Annie's Bait & Tackle has croakies (the things that keep your sunglasses on). Just do it.3. Squeeze with your thighs and hold on!4. Tampa Bay can get a bit rough. Depending on the type of ride you're looking for, you may or may not want to head in that direction.

My husband and I hit every sandbar! It was great! The pontoon was large for 2 people but we found it to be great for being on the water all day. We took out a cooler of food and water...some fishing poles and just relaxed! Lucky for us the staff go over the area because we would have not known were to go. We got a map and hit the water. My husband caught a few keepers but nothing major. It was really the best part of our vacay! We felt like locals :) H2O staff were very helpful and we will be back next time we are in the area. Totally recommend!

Lester, as you can see by me knowing who wrote this review I charge a very limited number of people every year......Your review is ludacris! To say we shave the edge of our props down to scam people! What a crooked train of thought you have! We buy & recondition our props through a local company called General Propellor. They do not sell "soft props" as you imply. Nor do we shave the edges down our props to "get our next victim". And your prop...sir... was severely damaged with chunks out of the blade!!! As you are aware of!!! So to be clear to all who read this completely bogus review...1. Yes we do charge for props. We have the lowest price rentals around and if you do not damage our property it will remain an inexpensive trip for you. But in no way will your inability to operate with caution and not damage a prop or any other H2O property will it become our expense. You damage it you pay for it. You did damage the prop, as you stated.... "I went to look at the so called prop damage. We never hit anything really except sand." Just to inform you... that the "sand" here often has conch shells, among hundreds of other species of shells that WILL damage a prop, as you found out!! I showed you a brand new prop prior to leaving my marina with the sticker still on it from General Propellor. Below is the excerpt in your paperwork you signed. You say it was in fine print...if you could not read the paperwork we would have been happy to read it to you. " *In order to keep my boat engine running properly: I need to distribute weight evenly to prevent cavitation, I need to remove all grass from around the boat prop, I must not operate in low water or seagrass beds, I must trim up the motor when in shallow water, The boat motor must never make contact with the sea bottom. * I will be charged for prop damage & clogged intake. I understand that damage to the prop will cost me a minimum of $200.00 or more for a replacement or repair of the lower unit/impellor. This is non-negotiable. ""Another prop scam" you say....I say "another irresponsible boater looking to get over on a local business." We do not need customers that admittingly damage our property and then post slanderous reviews!

First, I would like to start with the fact that the white prop is the original for that motor, Yamaha 50hp 2 stroke. Feel free to research this since that was not done prior to this review. Although, saying you have never seen a prop that wasn't stainless was pretty much proof that you aren't educated in boats, motors, props, and obviously, operation. The paint you are referring to was approximately 3" missing which indicates that the blade was also grinded down from running through sand. I was trying to be nice to you by charging you my cost on the rebuild, not including labor in removing the damaged one and replacing the new one....which was not free for my employee to do. That NEW prop was shown to you prior to leaving our marina, as is, to every one of the over 3000 renters we have per year. Also, you were a local renting from our business because you were having engine issues with your own boat from running aground! We are glad that you had a great time on our boat and that you were treated kind with great instruction, as part of your review reflected. It is unfortunate that you have given the poor review because you were charged for (admittingly) damaging our prop. As you know from being a boat owner & obviously running aground frequently that props are EXPENSIVE! In no way did the price of rental you paid cover the cost of a damaged prop.....$45 dollars you were charged is actually BELOW cost for that prop. I was in no way rude to you when returning to the dock. I merely did exactly what I do anytime a boat returns to my dock, INSPECT it! Your boat is inspected before and after you return. This process was explained to you by Blossom while doing the paperwork, it was actually written in your paperwork, while explaining the navigational rules (staying in the channel) and again explained to you by Braden, our dock hand while doing your orientation on the boat before leaving. In no way is it my intentions to embarrass you when you damage my equipment. It is my job to inspect the damage and charge you accordingly. You kept insisting that I tell you where the damaged occurred, what you hit.....my response was "I don't know where you damaged it. I just know it left new and came back damaged!" To call someone a scammer when you knowingly damaged something is absurd. You admit you got great instruction, you admit the prop was damaged but you don't feel that you having to pay for something that you did is fair. I feel that it reflects on your character, not the character of our operation or our staff. Good luck with your own boat and learn the channels before going back on the water.

We did a family outing on the water with a pontoon boat from WaterSportz. WS was very helpful and the equipment worked great! Our only mistake was heading down the open waters of Sarasota Bay (had a Salty Dog addict on board). It's 10 miles of water and not much else. A far better choice would be to turn North towards Tampa Bay. Lots more to see and do, especially the Rod & Reel pier.

My husband and I have rented several times from H20 and were excited to get a groupon deal. Well, the husband couldn't make it so I took a gal-friend on Feb21. We had a great time touring from Bimini Bay to the sandbar near the bridge to Longboat. The Craigcat is very easy to learn to drive. It is comfortable, even for an over 50 crew! The personal are courteous and give good training. Just remember not to jib up the motor, or whatever he told me. They have actually locked the lift so you won't have any worries. We saw all kinds of fish, dolphin, shark, rays. Last summer we saw sea turtles. Better than the aquarium! I am looking forward to another rental in April. We were promised an amazing discount for our next rental. Hope he remembers me!Please rent yourself a Craigcat. You won't be disappointed.Peace and Paint,Debbie

A friend and I got a groupon and rented a craigcat for four hours! It was a blast! A couple of tips, you have the option of lifting the motor and dropping anchor to swim onto a sand bar, if you do this remember to look where the motor was before you lift it, if they find marks you maybe charged. Also our stealing stick was extremely hrs to move left, test it before you leave... The guys where super nice and very friendly, I will do this again and would recommend to anyone highly!

We are happy to hear you had an enjoyable day on the water. I would like to start with, everyone is giving an orientation. In that orientation you are given lengthy instruction, as you mentioned, on the operation of the boat, the area, and paperwork. The paperwork explains in detail your responsibility as a renter. Below is just an excerpt from our agreement. ___ I understand that my imprinted card deposit is for any damages, loss of H2O property, overages in time and any fuel cost that apply. Damages are non-negotiable. It is my responsibility to review the equipment before boarding. ___ I understand that I am responsible for replacing fuel that was used during the boat rentals.___ I understand that in order to keep my boat engine running properly, I need to distribute weight evenly to prevent cavitation. I need to remove all grass from around the boat prop.I must not operate in low water or seagrass beds.I must trim up the motor when in shallow water. The boat motor must never make contact with the sea bottom. I will be charged for prop damage & clogged intake___ I understand that damage to the prop will cost me $200.00 or more for a replacement. With that being said, Chris, the owner, showed 3 men aboard the prop before leaving our marina and told them "this is a NEW prop. If it comes back damaged there is a fee." It is unfortunate that in your review you were not honest about damaging our prop but, it is not surprising seeing that all of you with the exception of one man (the DRIVER) lied when you returned, saying that you did not get out of the channel and could not have damaged our prop. The DRIVER of the boat was the only one who was honest when he told us upfront that he ran our boat aground by Bimini Bay. When your party was informed of the damage you were very disrespectful to us. It was not until your CAPTAIN was confronted about telling us he ran aground that you were silenced and agreed to pay. I would also like to point out that you paid cash! We did not charge a credit card without your approval. You and your party were very rude and insulting (almost bringing me to tears) upon returning to our marina without conscience of the lie you knew you all were telling. Bottom LIne: You were shown the prop. You signed off that, if you damaged the prop, you were responsible. You were given instruction on how to avoid prop damage. You damaged the prop. You paid cash for the damaged (because you were responsible for the damage!), a charge was not made to your card. Your behavior at my office was uncivil and shameful. You knowingly damaged someones property and lied for personal gain. You not only denied it until proven wrong you tried to insinuate that we were the ones not being honest. We respect our customers and welcome all of them as friends and encourage a quick return. We do not intend on extending that to your party. Thank you for your review.

We rented a pontoon boat for 4 hours at H2O Watersportz and thoroughly enjoyed our adventure. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing helpful hints to ensure a great experience. We would definitely recommend them to family and friends and will rent from them again. The pontoon boat was in excellent condition.

Our family spent the New Year at Anna Maria Island last week. The first few days of weather were a little dreary! We called all the Jet Ski rental companies in the area. H20 Watersportz was the most friendly. We booked two skis for two hours each. Blossom was the most friendly person weat on our trip! The equipment was new and clean as they advertised. My wife and 2 sons had a ball on the Waverunners! We had dolphin come right up to us for 20 plus minutes! Thank you H20 for the wonderful experience! We will be back in the Spring!

Rented a pontoon boat with bimini for a 4 hour tour of the bay and intercoastal. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were provided a chart and given information about the tide, local spots to see or avoid and a quick safety reminder. The pontoon worked perfectly and we can highly recommend H2O.
