My family and I were excited at the prospect of visiting The Olive Grove. We checked their website to make sure they would be open: Yes-- it said OPEN regular seasonal hours Saturdays and Sundays 10a-6p.We drove an hour and a half to visit, only to find a small impromptu sign posted at the gate saying "Sorry- closed. Call again."NOTE to The Olive Grove: If you're planning not to honor your regular hours, PLEASE HAVE THE COURTESY to update your website to notify your patrons.No- I won't be visiting again.No- I won't recommend this place to others.

My girlfriends and I had a girls' day last weekend in Brooksville. I did a tripadvisor search to find things to do while there and found this place. I called to find out more before going. The owner was very pleasant on the phone and when we arrived. She gave us a tour and we were able to sample warm fresh bread drizzled with olive oil. We purchased 3 olive trees that can grow in Florida. They are located right off the Suncoast Parkway bike trail. I saw many bikes going by. They have concerts during the year and classes, such as, soap making etc. It was not the season for that right now. We spent about 30-45 minutes there. Nice and peaceful property and helpful owners. They said that the are in the process of buying a press for the olives. In the future you can bring your olives there to be pressed. It will be like a co-op. Very cool!

Attended the recent Fall Olive Festival and was pleased with the entertainment. For a FREE event there was a lot to offer. 3 Musical acts performed during the afternoon: the DeLei'd Parrots, Bill Wharton "the Sauce Boss" and Amber Lynn Nicol. We were there for most of Bill Wharton - he was very entertaining. Made a big pot of gumbo and got ladies to come up and stir things up while he played slide guitar and sang the blues. Nice little gift shop where olive oils, vinegars, soaps and hand crafted goodies are sold. Classes were going on throughout the day. Olive trees were also available for purchase. Funky little farm with lots of potential. Check out their calendar for varied ongoing classes like knitting, olive curing, soap making. Regular entertainment.
