This was our first time at Obed & Isaac's. The eclectic menu had many delicious options. The food came out in a timely manner and was great! We sat outside in a very relaxed atmosphere. Unfortunately, the quality of the service did not match the quality of the food. We waited for 8 minutes before she even came over and even then she only asked to take our order (no pleasantries whatsoever). When it was time to drop off the check, that's all she did--dropped it off and kept on walking by. I'm all for a relaxing experience, but even in am informal setting such as this you expect some form of courtesy from the server.

Good food, good waitress, a bit noisy, but all in all better than most. Unique food items unique to Springfield. Prepared nicely and served with care. Good beer too. Our waitress was attentive, answered our questions, and led us in the ordering of our dinner. Good job!

Nice place with great beer and food. I had one of the house dark beers. I tried the onion rings and the flat bread as both were advertised to be made from part of the beer process. I enjoyed them both. Indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely have a beer there!

I had heard that the local brews were great, but the food was as good as the beer. I had the very best Ruben sandwich I had ever had in my life. I wish I lived closer so I could visit more often. Great experience.

We stopped for a late lunch. I had a teenager and a five year old. They had indoor and outdoor seating. We opted for inside and enjoyed the local, modern artwork. The waitress brought a carafe of chilled water. We don't drink alcohol but they are known for their craft beers. I ordered a Rueben and it was perfect. The corn beef was shredded and fresh. I had the fresh potato chips and everyone at my table enjoyed them. The portions are large. My teen got the chicken ranch warm sandwich and loved it. It was large enough to split. The bread was the best part. Her side was homemade mac n cheese and she loved it. The kids meal was ok. The chicken tenders looked like typical preformed frozen type. Kids meal was $7 and included a drink and one side. A little high in my opinion. The grown up sandwiches were $9-14 ish and included a side. The portions were very large. We will definitely go back. Their salads sounded good and so did their flat bread. I've heard seating can be an issue at peak times. We went at 2pm and were seated right away. Service seemed slow but was friendly.

Was texting with a friend who sent me pictures of his family of five enjoying lunch at O & I's and thought, "Great idea for Mother's Day!", so our family of five headed downtown. The patio was full, as expected, because it was a beautiful day so we were fine with the wait (30-40 mins) and grabbed some drinks and hung out next door. Our friends had a good experience and even said the seater/greeter told them a table for four would be much too cramped for them, remember this, and sat them at a table more appropriate for their family. Our buzzer went off and I went to secure our table, which was a four seated table four OUR family of five. The gal seating us left menus at the table and proceeded inside, where I followed. I stated that we had a party of five, that I told her originally, and that the table would not work. I did notice that there were tables behind her, inside the bar area, that were available and asked if we could sit there and she said it was first come, first serve. Fine, at this point we were hungry and we really didn't want to wait another 30 mins. So I went back outside told the family to follow, walked back inside, drinks almost empty, and sat down.We now watched as people at the bar and tables on BOTH sides of us were waited on and served. For 30 mins we sat there, drinks empty for 25 of them, and NOT ONE TIME did one person stop or acknowledge us!We witnessed unhappy waitresses not getting their drinks fast enough and a waitress complaining about the chefs not getting the food out fast enough. The gal behind the bar has to be a relative, because not only did my friend tell me how unpleasant she was, we experienced the same, ridiculous. This would not be my choice to run my bar. I am sure the regulars live here and I am sure this was her "off" day, but I have experienced her rough interaction before and I thought back then that THAT day was her "off" day. I have no doubt we would have sat there another 30 mins unnoticed and if the management doesn't believe me run you video surveillance on Sunday from the 1:30 pm to 2:15 pm timeframe. Unreal experience. Figure it out.

I love a good craft beer and O&I has many to offer. Their tasty pints are brewed on site. The historic home provides a casual and friendly atmosphere. Be sure to try their flatbreads! My personal favorite is caprese with grilled chicken. Ditzy Blonde Ale & Upside Brown Ale are my favorite pints. Check out the bocce garden.
