We live within 40 minutea of this museum and never really thought to visit. I took my new 3 year old and almost 2 year old here with my mom. Both my boys are runners, so first and most important suggestion is to have 1 adult to 1 toddler. It would be easy for someone tobleave with your child if you aren't keeping an eye on them. Secondly, this place is toddler heaven. So many cool activities and exhibits. You could easily spend 3 to 4 hours here if you aren't up against naptime. Lots of different things to satisfy kid curiosity and exploration. We went over xmas break at 9am when they opened and it wasn't terribly busy, but by noon it was crazy. Bought the membership for $110 because we will definitely be back a few times. Overall, highly recommended!!

We have visited Dupage Children's Museum several times with our grandchildren. They are always excited to go and there are plenty of activities to interest them. Within the past year, the museum added an informal cafe in the basement. It is very popular.

Lots of hands on things for the kids. Loved letting my son just wander and explore everything. Plan on spending a couple hours here.

Took my 4 year old here in December… he had a lot of fun! Lots to see, do, and experiment. I think the entrance fee is a little high, but we had a Groupon :)You can put your stuff in the communal coat room or get a decent locker for .50 cents (bring quarters). They have smaller lockers too, but I'm not sure how much those are.One of the water activities wasn't working at the time of our visit, but overall the trip was enjoyable. General Admission: $11.00 per person (ages 1 to 59) Seniors: $10.00 (ages 60 plus) Members: Always FREE

I took my Grandson to the Dupage Children's Museum in Naperville and this attraction surpassed all of our expectations. It isnt really a "Museum", rather a super activity center. Kids are "Hands ON" with some 350+ activities. Highlights for my grandson was the water fall with nets and retrieving floating balls and ducks, the Wind tunnell where 40 MPH winds blow them with their ribbons and pixie wheels etc, the bubble making center and the electricity tower. If you have active children ages 2-10, this is the place for them!

OK, so here is the bottom line. This is a great place for your young child to explore many hands on exhibit. I took my 6 year old grandson. He took off and went from one exhibit to another. Everything is hands on interaction to some greater or lesser extend. I followed him around enjoying giving him some guidance but mostly watching him explore. He was ready to go after about two hours. The exhibits are attractive and engaging to the younger minds. Staff are very friendly.

The weather is getting cold, this is the PERFECT place to take the kids! You could EASILY spend the whole day here! They often have very FUN activities in addition to the fixed areas such as the "build it" area where your kids can build great things with a hammer/nails, also the "water" area where they have a large water area(the kids put on water proof aprons) and they build dams and waterways. Plus the GIANT wind tunnel, it's a THRILL for every kid and you can carry in the little ones! They LOVE it! Right now they have "printing presses" which allow your budding artist to replicate their work for the first time! We got to use their press to learn printing techniques and create a reproducible designs. I couldn't DRAG my daughter away from this!! It's GREAT because they have "Creativity Studio Drop-Ins", "Studio drop-ins" are activities in the Creativity Studio that are FREE to DCM members or with Museum admission. Activities explore alternating math-, science-, and art-related discovery projects with a different theme each month!! We got to explore and experiment with a variety of materials and my child got to create a COOL project he was sooooo proud of! The BEST part = Pre-registration is NOT required. Love THAT, as my kids are unpredictable from day to day. Be sure to bring a healthy lunch! In the lower area, over the years they have improved and made a "lunch room" with vending machines. They have no problem with you bringing food in---remember to bring your own!

The children's science museum is an great way to see and share an exciting time with your Grand kids. We took our 2.5 and 4.5 year old boys. Playing with the water toys and the excellent air flow tubes area were a highlight for the younger boy. The electrical area and tubes of balls held the 4.5yr old interest for quite a while. Both boys played with the bubbles and had a great time.

Can be busy on weekends when it is raining, but very great place to explore for all ages. Nice area to store items you don't want to carry all the time. Great staff to help if needed. Well maintained.

We just spent many hours at DCM. Our grandchildren ages 7and 5 had a awesome time. It was great fun for us as grandparents to see the children having so much fun! We took a break and went out for lunch. They wanted to return and we stayed until closing at 4:00. My only suggestion would be to have better quality and sharp saws in the construction area. It was frustrating for the kids that the saws cut wood so poorly.Would definitely return.

We were so happy to take our granddaughter to DCM. SHe had so much fun and loved exploring all of the areas age-appropriate for her. We might need a disco ball for her room! Clean facility, great use of space, easy to navigate!

We live in the area and so when I specifically, was young it was great but as children grow older and older it starts to get bland because it's just simply geared for younger kids but if you have younger children then great! The children's museum really fun for them. From what I remember, if you r into hands-on its perfect for you! For example there is a wood shop, air tubes that has fuzzies going through it that u can take out, a water play area, and a really fun marble contraption that u watch as the marbles create a domino type effect!

The Dupage Children's Museum is a must see for families visiting the area. There are tons of interactive activities for kids of all ages. I have taken my grandchildren there many times and they are enthused to go each and every time. Volunteers help to introduce/explain activities and children are allowed to try everything for themselves. It's a smile maker from the moment one enters until it's time to (reluctantly) leave.

Was not expecting a lot but was pleasantly surprised at the amount of activity available for kids. Would recommend.

My kids love it here. Every time we drive by they beg to go. The only thing I don't like about it is that you have to pay for adults.
