silver moon winery

our visit did not end on a good note. We walked into a wonderful atmosphere. I was excited to try my first wining tasting. My aunt was telling me this place was very different from any winery that she had ever been to because the atmosphere was so warm and inviting. We were with a group of 15, all family. We enjoyed a cheese and cracker spread. We got to sip three wines and then received a glass of our favorite wine. the crackers were simply Ritz or Townhouse - nothing fancy. They charged us each $20, which I felt was a bit expensive for what we got. I thought we could at least take home our tasting glass, but no. We were told we could buy one in the gift shop. Then, at the end of our visit, they charged us $20 for one person in the group that did not attend! I feel that was completely uncalled for and greedy. They were not out any money because one of our group did not show up. It is for that reason that I left the winery unhappy and will probably never go back.

well me and the wife are in town from chicago,Ill staying at a wonderful cabin a few miles away celebrating our 5th year anniversary the host/owners reccomended some places for us to check out and one was the Silver Moon Winery so we went there and the place was amazing the staff was so friendly and courtesy we had a few wine tastings with cheese and crackers ohh its was so good cant wait to go back they have a Red Velvet Chedder Cheese that is oh so good
