We enjoyed lunch and a tour of the winery. Dave, the owner, is very knowledgeable about growing grapes and producing wines and shared his plethora of information. Lunch was delicious. I ordered the turkey club wrap, it was delicious and was served with potato salad and grapes. The pace and atmosphere was relaxed on this weekday. We bought the wine, "Dave" and "Kickapoo Blush." The tour is labeled as "free" on the website, but it did cost $1.87, we found that amusing.

Have been wanting to come here as I see it every time I am on my way to the Peoria airport for my trip back home. This time I remembered and my niece took me here for wine tasting and lunch. Most of the wines are a little sweet for my tastes, but they had a great selection, I think 21 or 22 to pick 5 tastings for $5. All my family who live in the area love the sweeter wines, so great for them. I did find a white I really liked and bought a bottle. Lunch and dessert was good and the waitress who did our wine tasting and lunch service gave us great service. Already planning on a return trip when I am in IL visiting family.

We visited the winery on a Saturday, and it was a little crowded in the tasting room, but worth it. The wines are good(try the Norton if you like red), the people were very friendly, and the Grapetrain Tour was neat. It is right off the highway, and a lovely way to spend an hour or two.

The wait staff was wonderful. The service is paced a bit slow so be aware. Prices were moderate. I ordered the turkey wrap and it was described as being in a warm tortilla. I first asked if I could have it on a pita and was refused because of what came on it. When it came, the entire sandwich was cold as if it had just come from the refrigerator. The tortilla was ice cold with fake grill marks. Now I really wonder why it couldn't come on a pita. The turkey was more than enough but no different than deli meat. The bacon and lettuce were present but also 'ice box' cold. The cranberry mayonnaise was very good and probably the best thing I had that day. I ordered a salad also and it was more than adequate as a side. The chef's choice for the side was a pasta salad. I wish someone from the winery would respond to my questionable description of this sandwich. I wonder what it would taste like if made fresh.I would be ordering something else if I returned to the winery.

The winery was supposed to have a ladies night event last night (May 24, 2014) and we planned a bachelorette party around it. It was a fundraiser for St. Jude. We registered over a month ago and even gave them our credit card number for the reservation. We randomly checked their website a few days ago and the had taken the event off of the calender. We called and found out that the event had been cancelled due to lack of planning from an intern. We were all very upset that they did not make any attempts to notify us about the cancellation. I will not ever be visiting the kickapoo creek winery.

Lunched with girlfriends on March 16. We were all looking forward to a great time and the waitress in the tasting room was great! However, in our party of 6 ladies, I got two wine glasses with someone's lipstick on them and a friend got one in the same condition. We tried to overlook it, I know how hard it is to get lipstick off of wine glasses. However, when I bit into my sandwich and found an enormous, thick hair, I couldn't overlook it. (It was so big, I couldn't find the end of it. My girlfriends were dying!) I quietly called the waitress over to show/tell her. She was mortified and went back to get me a new lunch. As we were paying, the waitress said that she had talked with her manager and the manager said, "As long as she got one lunch that was acceptable and she ate it, she will have to pay." Now, I hadn't asked for my lunch to be comped, and I didn't mind paying, but the manager's attitude and response was just astounding! Apparently, if you go to KCW and you would like a lunch contaminated with hair -- that will be free. But if you get a hair and THEN an acceptable lunch -- be prepared to pay. I still cannot believe that in this day and age of social media and the struggling local business, this is how the manager would act. Sadly, this is one local business I won't be back to.

We've been going to this winery for about five years, and we're so happy to see it growing and adding services like serving an extended lunch menu. The food here is fantastic! It is a little bit slower, so just be aware it will probably take up an hour or two on a weekend afternoon, but if it's a nice day, you can go walk in the winery while lunch is prepared.Gail and Danielle are absolutely awesome and so sweet. We have gotten to know them well as regular customers and always stay and chit chat a bit with them. I will say, we were very unimpressed with the grape stomp festival in August. They don't really have the ground space for such a large crowd, so your only option for table sitting was in a tent with a really loud band playing, plus they ran out of a bunch of wines. The Mackinaw Grape Stomp festival is much better. But overall we do love Kickapoo Winery and continue to go there for lunch and wines.

The staff was fantastic. We tried some great wines and even brought a couple of bottles home with us. The place is small and a little hard to know were to go to park but overall we had a very nice time here.

We found this little place of Illinois by reading where to go in Peoria. We got there early and they were close but decided to go back. Needless to say, we ended up staying way too many hours doing the wine tasting, talking up a storm and having a wonderful homemade lunch plus the most delicious and freshest cheesecake from the local bakery that was delivered while we were there. The wines are out of this world and my friends and I ended up carrying several bottles home. I am still enjoying my last bottle. Danielle our host was awesome and answered all the questions we had about the wines. She made our 3 hours there the most enjoyable ever! This is a must do while in the Peoria area!!!

Spend an afternoon here and discover the gorgeous fields and delicious wine. There's a lot of space to explore, and the staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating. This would also be a great place to host a party or have a wedding.
