It was great they turned on all the trains for us and explained each setup they even gave a bit of the history of Kingman. One of the displays was of Kingman

The Railroad Museum is absolutely a must-see attraction in Kingman! I was fascinated seeing all of the old railroad memorabilia.

Fun enjoyable experience. Nice trinkets and such, post cards and books loaded with historical photographs, history of Kingman AZ.

We stopped here as the start of a drive on R66 and to make use of the Visitor Centre rather than visit the Railroad Museum. Found the staff helpful with tips and advice about things to see and do on the route.Big building with interesting things to see inside and across the road is a railroad steam engine that you can look over and climb on to have a good, close up look at.Did not have to pay for the Visitor Centre and there was free parking.

Very interesting. Great for kids, and adults that are train crazy. A very well done display, a LOT of work has gone into this. Highly recommended.

My partner had an electric train when he was a boy. He enjoyed chatting with the museum volunteer. While you're visiting the museum allow a little time to stroll the streets of Kingman, near the station. There are some notable heritage buildings.

We stopped by the railroad museum during the Route 66 Festival. We were so happy that it was open for extended hours. The admission fee was reasonable. My daughter (12) loved the trains. She was just fascinated with all the variety of tracks and city's - it was fun to watch her oo and ah.The gentlemen (there were 3 or 4) seemed to be very knowledgeable and nice. On our way out it got very busy. This is a must see. They have a large picture window where you can see cargo trains pass by - we were already on the road and missed it.

Not a very big place and no gift shop, but we enjoyed the 3 model railroads they have set up, and the free information available. We were pleased that there was plenty of parking despite the Route 66 festival in progress.

The museum was nice in that it did discuss more about Kingman and how it played an important part in the railroad through the west. But it was very small and I had seen better museums in smaller towns.

Not a large museum by any means, but it does contain a few interesting artifacts. We enjoy model railroads--my husband's hobby--and much of the museum was filled with them, but very dusty and not of the highest quality. Still, it was worth the small admission price and small investment of time.

The people who run the place have a passion for Trains and it shows! Great set-ups of model trains and wonderful people who interact with you and show you what their trains can do! My 4 year old Grandson was in heaven!

t fun and lots of quality information for the whole family. This is a must stop for young and old, and if you like trains, and who doesn't, you'll hate to hit the road.
