We went to visit Prescott because I wanted to see what Whiskey Row really was. My father grew up in Prescott during the great depression and I was hoping to see and understand what he had told me about most of my childhood. I am sorry to say that 80 plus years have gone by and it doesn't resemble the description he related to me. A fairly modern city with an influx of money from people moving in for it's warm climate not to pan for gold has surely changed it. For the better or for the worse, I suppose is a matter of opinion.

There are lots of bars and shops to explore. I was more interested in the shops, but didn't really have much time as had gotten into to town late in the afternoon. I was a bit surprised to see most (if not all) of the shops close down at 5:00 PM.

The rest of the shops are pure Tourist traps. Mostly junkite and VERY high prices. Interesting place to wander around for an hour or two but if you are looking for quality cowboy stuff or Indian art look elsewhere.

We have been to a few cities who have this kind of place to go to enjoy a drink, some history or just shop. Every bar makes you feel like home, The best place to eat is at The Palace. It has great food, service and history right down to the bullet holes in the ceiling from the 1880's. Every city should take a hint from Prescott.. were talking to you Kingman, AZ.

Even though it's only considered a single street there's plenty of additional choices on the other side of grealy. Start at the birdcage and work your way down to the palace for dinner great night out.

There are neat shops and places to pop in and buy souvenirs if you need to take presents home, but we're not big drinkers or bar-goers, so we didn't really take full advantage of the joys of this historic part of town. You have to take a walk down this street, however, if you're going to visit Prescott. :o)

Lots of neat shops of all kinds and for all tastes. Plenty of good food of all kinds. Just a really nice place to visit and everyone is so nice when looking in all of the shops.

Read about, or let someone tell you the story of the fire that destroyed much of Whiskey Row back in the early 1900's. The patrons at the Palace Bar pulled the huge oak bar out into the street so that they could continue drinking while the fire was burning much of the building.

Whiskey row is always a great time. From all their unique shops to all the fun bars. We have never had a bad time walking up and down the row shopping or bar hopping at night. There are some amazing bar tenders and really fun locals.

Many antique shops that need your time and attention........divide your time between the many restaurants and pubs and the antique shops, jewelry shops and you will have a full day and a full tummy by late afternoon.

I really enjoyed the food and beverages, especially the options. Several of the shops are "Sedona like" with great Art and local artists. The prices are lower than Sedona which isn't hard to do. The courthouse across the street is majestic and quite a gathering area.

Whiskey Row is a collection of bars, restaurants and art shops. Of all the attractions, Matt's Saloon is my favorite. I have been to many western bars in Texas, New Mexico and Arizona and there is not a one that compares to Matt's. The entertainment is outstanding and the bartenders have real personality. In the evening, usually on Friday, the old timers come out to dance. In their 60's, 70's and even 80's, these couples come out and strut their stuff. It is just great to watch. A good time is had by all at this bar!

Worth it to park and walk. Lots of shops, great food, live music and tastings of wine, mead, and beer.

Same old stuff from shop to shop. Bar scene if you like that, but the restaurants were overpriced for the quality of food. Go for the atmosphere, not the quality of food. Too many panhandlers and vagrants wandering about asking for money.

We enjoyed taking our adult children to Whiskey Row during their visit to Prescott during Christmas. We pushed our way through the crowds and enjoyed the shops. Parking was not too bad as we parked FAR away and then walked (get my drift here folks!). But if you are in Prescott, you must enjoy this piece of history. If you catch this place during Christmas, the court square's trees are lit up with lights and it is so beautiful and eye-catching. Around the corner from Montezuma Street (Whiskey Row) is Wild Iris coffee, where they serve coffee and tea for those that need a picker upper. There is also a multi-level parking structure on this street. If you come during Thanksgiving when the weekly Christmas parades begin, you will have to park and walk for a bit, but all this Christmas excitement is great fun and must be enjoyed if you plan to be here anytime from Thanksgiving through New Year's Eve (the annual Boot Drop occurs on New Year's). The Boot Drop is the Time Square equivalent of the Time's Square Ball.
