Train ride and the carousel. Also grand expanse of grass for children to run safely. Affordable and quiet - a respite from the crowds and business which often accompanies travelers.

We took my brothers grandkids here and had to pri them away from the place. The ride on trains were fun and the model railroad layouts were there to be admired and envied. I was glad they were indoors. The full size train cars were very historical......

We took our grandchildren twice they enjoyed it so much, especially the train rides. This is a special family stop in Scottsdale for families.

The train store is really fun. These folks are all really into old trains, I think they are all volunteers. If you ever rode in a Sleeper Car with the bunk beds and curtains, you can visit here and they have one you can see again. Good picnicing with large play area for kids.

Great place to go with kids...complete with lots of room to run, a carousel, an ice cream shop, a train to ride, rocks to climb on and even a little prison to 'pretend' lock up. Lots of activities going on, especially around holidays. Total win for families!

Took our 20 month old granddaughter to the Railroad Park. She loved the train ride and enjoyed the playground. The facility is set up for picnics and possible birthday parties. There are other possibilities for older children. It is a must do for young children in Scottsdale.

We had a fun time in the park and seeing the trains. My 8 year old was just on the cusp of finding it tedious and for little ones but if you have little ones, a great time. There was story time on the lawn for the nursery school aged kids with singing and guitars and stories. The train ride (approx 10 min) was still fun for my 8 year old, my 7 year old loved it. Carousel was nice. Perfect for a nice day in the park. Fee only for rides and for adults to get into the little museum.

Just driving by puts a smile on your face. Great place to take the kids for a quick and enjoyable memory. It's free, clean, happy, and fun. Life is good.

We came here with our three and five year old daughters, me, my wife and my in-laws. The girls LOVED it! They loved the carousel and the train ride. They also loved the model train exhibit. The adults loved the train museum, especially the real train that takes you back to a day gone by. There is lots to do with kids, so allow yourself plenty of time to take it all in.

Visited this park 3 or 4 times in the last year. Children love it. Plenty of parking, clean washrooms and a central location. In addition to the Carousel and small train that takes visitors around the park there are a couple of separate play areas for the kids. Both playgroundsbhave benches nearby. You can bring a picnic lunch or get something from the snack bar housed in a caboose. There are several picnic areas throughout the park. There is a history museum, a model train building and a general general store among the attractions. Entrance to the park is free. Tickets can be purchased for the train ride, carousel and museum entry.

Large playground, carousel, train ride, exhibit of model trains, old trains to walk through, large grassy area for picnics or just to find a spot to spread out a blanket and enjoy the sun, etc. Snack and icecream areas. Everything a 3-12 year old might enjoy. Very busy weekends, go during the week if you get the chance.

We had a wonderful time at the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park. My kids (ages 2 and 4) really enjoyed the model railroad building (free). There were buttons on the sides of the glass that made different things in the models "work" which made it fun and interactive. We also rode the miniature train and the carousel. We bought a 12 pack of tickets for $10, which is exactly what we needed for 2 adults and 1 child (the 2 year old was free) to ride each of the rides once. The lady at the ticket counter guided us on what to purchase and didn't oversell us, which I thought was nice. There were plenty of picnic tables on the grounds and we were able to bring in outside food. The playgrounds were also awesome! They were shaded and offered misters for hot days (although we didn't need them in February). Also, there were clean indoor bathrooms. The size of the park was perfect for small kids; it was exactly the right amount of things to do for half a day. This is a great spot for families and a really good value for the money.Visited February 2015

A great little park. You do not have to be a fan of railways but it helps. Kids were having great fun on the narrow gauge train that runs round the park. Stationary exhibit of steam engine and carriages and a small museum. Lots of areas to picnic. Do not miss the large indoor model railway exhibition.
