Utterly transporting location. Made us 50-somethings feel like kids again. Great spot to sit over a sack lunch and really contemplate the phantasmagorical pinnacles and balanced rocks. Nice winding trail with some uphill, but any doubts as to the route is relieved by the fading painted footsteps that confirm your first guess as to the direction.The shuttle driver recommended a clockwise direction for the loop, but I am not sure why!

LOVED this. If you can, hike to see. Well work the trip. Simply incredible. A fantastic day. Can't wait to go back!

Heart of the Rocks loop requires you to hike about 7 miles to get to and is specular. The massive rock outcropings in this park are really something to view.Shorter Hikes are available in the park and you can drive to scenic outlooks areas if you don't hike.this is a nice park with Vistor center,campgrounds,picnic grounds and historical ranch
