No sign off of Moson so watch carefully for the small brown sign. It's a nice little walk, so bring water.

We visited the clovis site on our way back to the Phoenix area. It was a bit hard to find- not a lot of signage, but once we found it no problems. Easy hiking in and out- expect to spend an hour or two visiting the wash where the mammoth bones were first discovered. The self guided tour is very nice to have with good signage all around the site. We bumped into a local BLM officer who indicated that they keep a close eye on this site due to the potential of looting. He was most friendly and walked with us back to our car. The site is remote- not much else around except the old railway bed that you hike on- hiking is easy enough for anyone to do. Clean restroom facilities available- however, no running water

This was set up to display a mammoth discovered in the 1970s. The site is close to town and has just a tiny monument. The real reason for going is the views you have from the center of the valley in every direction. Another poster said use Lehner's road and your GPS. Those directions are a must because otherwise you will wander around and not find it.

I was in town for a few days and figured I'd do a few tourist things. Not much in Sierra Vista, so I headed out to the Mammoth Kill Site. Basically, 11,000 years ago, the natives of the area hunted a mammoth, killed it, and ate it at this location. It was discovered in the 1970s and put in a museum somewhere. Arrow heads and stuff were found to determine what had happened. Now its just a little brick monument that's on the spot where the kill was, but that's all. Its a nice little locale surrounded by mountains. Nice scenery. No one knows where it is (including the Park Rangers that I asked who gave me directions that took me to the complete other side of the area.) and the GPS does not pick it up. It's on Lehner's Road, which is on the GPS, so just plug the road in and it will take you there. If you like history, its worth a one time visit.
