pinetop lakes golf & country club

Really enjoy playing the course. Pricy for the type of course. Greens and fairways in great condition and the course is challenging. There are two regular length courses within half hour I prefer, since they are less costly and much more challenging.

This is an "executive" course, par 63, with 2 par 5's and no sandtraps. Sounds easy, right? Well maintained from tee box through the greens, this can be a challenge to the average golfer. One would think the altitude of over 7000 feet would cause a golf ball to fly farther.... not mine. The green aprons are "catchy"; the greens look so smooth that discerning slope is difficult. Now the good part. It is a very good course with a great layout and a reasonable degree of difficulty. I don't know what high season rates are, but September rates are good. Caveat: there is a private countryclub with a similar name about one mile east of this one on basically the same road. I know nothing of that course. This one is about 1/2 mile east of White Mountain Road in Pinetop.If I were a resident of the area, I'd become a member even though it is open to the public.

Surprising how nice this is! Not as fancy as other clubhouses, but the food, service, and price is great!The golf course is beautiful and makes for a very enjoyable outing.

Surprised to see that the very busy and great restaurant at this club is not mentioned anywhere. We went on a Friday night for the fish fry and the place was jammed. Since we had reservations we were seated immediately. Service was prompt and attentive. The food across the board was excellent - soup, salad, fish fry, french fries and baked potato. This place is a winner. Can't wait to try it in the middle of the week.

You don't have to be a member to eat here or use facilities. FOod is good with a nice atmosphere and good service. A good choice for a group. In the summer check the "Music In The Pines" , a free band and dance evening on the golf course where you can buy burgers and hot dogs and meet the locals. Very fun!

If you want the areas atmosphere and you play golf, this is the place. My son and I brought our clubs not really knowing if we could play or not but our resort folks steered us to this place and wow. We had a ball. This is another have to play course.

In the summer this course offers junior golf clinics and then a tournament which the kids then win trophies. The instructors are nice and the kids have a blast. If you are thinking of a membership, they have really inexpensive rates right now. They also occasionally have outside music and inexpensive hamburgers and hot dogs...open to the public..you bring your lawn chair, meet your neighbors and enjoy the cool weather. The food in the restaurant is good..the service is quick and the employees seem to like their jobs. The proshop also has a nice selection of golf stuff and not over priced.
