I spent one night in this very special bed and breakfast. The bed was sumptuous and the room was comfortable and homey. It overlooked the beautiful gardens. Be sure you go out and explore the yard when you visit; there are mosaics and other treasures to see while you enjoy the outdoors. The food served for breakfast is incredible and generous, way beyond the usual fare one gets at a hotel. It's located within walking distance to all the fun Jerome has to offer. I highly recommend The Surgeon's House.

We can't rave enough about the Surgeon's House. We stayed in the master suite (we booked about 5 months in advance), and it was totally worth it. We had our own private balcony and really enjoyed coming back after the night we stayed there and sitting on the private balcony with a glass of wine in hand watching shooting stars. Andrea was just wonderful. Her energy and happiness permeates the house and the grounds. We didn't want to leave! The breakfast was the best we've ever had. Homemade EVERYTHING! White fish paella, pecan rum cake, coffee, and so much more, all made by her from the early morning hours. She had wine/beer and snacks to offer at night as well and was the perfect host - there when you needed her and quietly providing other times. The grounds are so peaceful and tranquil. She will show you around, tell you the (few) rules and let you go about your business. We had a great night's sleep in a super comfy bed. The amenities are perfect and bring about a peace within that can't be matched by a hotel of any kind. Looking at the art in the room was even settling. When we visit Jerome again, we'll definitely stay here if there's a vacancy.

Andrea greeted us at the door and immediately made us feel at home. Her house is decorated tastefully with a million things. She has an artistic eye that has created a beautiful, restful, interesting place you want to stay...and stay. The interior is beautiful with many little sitting areas with loads of plants that are growing like weeds. She'll even give you her secret to growing them so easily. The outside grounds are lovely and well manicured, proof of many years of love and attention. She is extremely proud of her Koi ponds. The teenagers in our group were immediately taken with feeding them and Andrea was more than anxious to oblige. We stayed in the Maid's quarters "back" and our family stayed in the Master suite (since there were 3 in their party). Our room was comfortable, large and unique. The bed was so high you almost need a running start to jump up! Beautiful little sitting area off the room that has a walkway to the gardens. Views from the front of the house are to die for. We brought our own wine but she greeted us with where we could share in what she had in the fridge, not to mention the snacks! Breakfast was a delight with so many different dishes and treats to try. Coffee, fresh squeezed juices, sticky buns and many savory dishes - all handmade and fresh. Lovely stay and would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a unique experience, privacy and once in a lifetime get-away.

We didn't stay here, but the proprietor was so friendly, inviting us to enjoy her garden that if we come back to Jerome, this is where we'll stay.Everything about the property is beautiful. It has amazing, unspoiled views over the valley to the red rocks. The garden is grogeous and full of wildlife, with secluded sun bathing areas, and a shaded Black Bamboo nook.
