This museum like business is off I-10 about 10 miles. I mention this place because it offers a look into the process of caring for, harvesting, and processing of pecans, walnuts, and pistachios. There is no admission and the people who run the business are very friendly and helpful. They are interested in selling their wine and nuts, but eager to help you understand their business. Restrooms, water, and food are available.

Very nice staff serving tastings of their wines, fudge and pecans. You can buy the pecans a freshly cracked, whole or even roasted. A nice variety of flavored fudge.The sweet red and French Columbard wines are great.

This is a store even though it is called Wineyards. It is behind the post office and it is pretty easy to miss. The store is very clean. They sell several kinds of wine. We like their nut products the best. The dark and white chocolate pecan cluster are super, so are the roasted pistachios. The prices are great, too. Next time when we pass by Bowie, we will load up with these delicious goodies.
