We visited on a rainy day (I know rain in the desert!) to find out what to do in the area. Staff was chatty and very friendly. Everyone seemed to love the area and be willing to help.

They were very friendly and informative. They gave us maps and they also have a movie about the area to get you started.

Information central! If you have a question on the area you will find the answer here. Centrally located in the town plaza the visitors center is also a historic landmark. Complete with a gift shop.

We have been visiting Ajo, AZ, for years, but for some reason never "discovered" the lovely visitor center, located in the old railroad station. Enthusiastic staff, LOTS of information, maps, books, etc. And a lovely, restored, building (and clean rest rooms!). What's better than that in a visitor center?

It was too early in the morning for the visitor center to be open when we past through . I just wanted to mention the plaza and two churches across the street . Also the old high school . We took quite a few pictures . One more thing . A local in a pickup drove past us and honked his horn and waved . It was a small gesture , but it meant alot to me .

Stop here after our vacay from the Mexican border. We did not know this place so I was looking for information. The lady at the visitor center was really nice and helpful. She offered to called the local restaurants for us, and she did a great job that is how we ended up in Marcela's restaurant for lunch. The place is small but nice and clean with their merchandise well organized. I bought some souvenirs, while my kiddos where using the facilities. This place is in a local inside the plaza.
