The hike was a bit uphill for seniors, but the walk was gorgeous. Seems a shame that one has to pay $3 each to walk up to see this falls. Do not bring short-legged dogs or you'll end up carrying them up sections. Seniors will need to stop and breathe here and there.

Costs $3 a person, but it is beautiful and an easy hike. All paved and only 0.4 miles with a 200 foot elevation gain.

Well worth the visit. Nice hike through the woods, very informative about the area and the ranger was very friendly.

This was my second trip to the Falls, and I was not disappointed. I love waterfalls in general, and Ruby Falls is a real gem! This time, we also hiked for awhile along the trail that leads back to Unicoi State Park. It was a little messy due to the rain, but the nature was thoroughly enjoyable. The gift shop is very clean and orderly, and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful, offering hiking advice, etc. A must-see when you are in the area! Frankly, enjoying natural beauty is a great way to balance the commercialism and tourist-trap syndrome in nearby Helen. (But my vote is for a healthy dose of both! lol)

We hike as a family as much as we can. We hiked here last fall. The hike up to the falls was a bit much for my 3 year old, but my 8 year old handled it fine. Both were amazed by the waterfall! Beautiful park!

These falls are amazing! The walk is about half a mile but it is not bad at all! It is so worth going!

The falls are beautiful as evidenced by the pictures here. The area seemed exceptionally clean. We walked up on a cold, drizzling, late afternoon - it seemed perfect, though. Yes, it's a steep climb, but only one way! Lots of places to rest if you need. One note - the path is totally paved - smooth asphalt - i.e. no steps.

Very nice fall to go and see. The walk to it is 4 tenths of a mile and yes it is up hill, but they do have benches for you to stop and rest if you need to. It is worth the walk and is a beautiful place.

This was our third time at Anna Ruby Falls. It was a little steeper walk than I remembered but all in all not too far of a walk to a beatiful double waterfall. I did'nt remember them charging a fee the first 2 times we went is that new? We got lucky this time and they were not charging a fee for a couple of days. There is a nice deck to view the waterfall from.

It is beautiful but it is a steep upward climb. It was very hard and I could not make it to the top but could see the falls. They have rock like benches if I remember right to sit on to rest, they are cold but was there in early Nov. Would feel better in summer, the benches. If you have any health issues, this upward hike is not for you. It is easier to get back down but still wears you out. If you are in good health then I don't see a problem. The visitors center is nice and the people/Rangers working there answer all questions. I was advised it was steep but didn't realize just how much. It is beautiful even if you just go a little way up. Small waterfalls, birds chirping, and water running down over rocks etc. Tranquil if not too many people are on the path. There is a platform at top as well for many to stand on and take pictures. It does cost to get in.

lovely cascades, nice walk. There is a fee involved. Unicoi is a very pretty state park, take a picnic and enjoy.
