The only winery that offers free wine tasting. The wines are all terrific. Our favorites are the scarlet and muscadine wines. We visited multiple times and everyone we met was terrific. The wine is affordable so we bought nearly two cases. Highly recommend adding Habersham winery to you itinerary.

On a recent road trip through north Georgia, which included a night in Helen, we wheeled into Habersham on a whim. We love Napa and tend to be - well, for some reason we tend to drive by the non-Napa wineries. But not today. It was late in the day, early March. Only one other customer was there and they left soon after we arrived. We proceeded to taste wine, and talk wine, and taste some more wine, and talk wine. The wine was good, some excellent. The visit was great. We left with a varied case, some cool wine trinkets, and some good memories. Thanks guys! Maybe we'll pass this way again! Another great was the great dinner recommendation to Bernie's.

This was one of 4 vineyards and wineries we visit in the same day during our 2 day trip to North Georgia. We entered and I immediately felt like a number, but how we were greeted. The wines were alright but didn't feel welcome. The wine tasting is free where you have to pay at the other wineries. We sure felt like we were rushed out of here. Do yourself a favor and check the other vineyards and wineries around.

I live in NC and often go to the Habersham Winery to pick up a few cases. They have the best selection of wines for any taste. The sweet wines are better, but the dry ones are good as well. Also, we have found that they tend to last longer in freshness than wines from other wineries. I especially love the peach treat and the chalet white (even though I tend not to like sweet wines). Also, the Scarlett is very good. I throw parties once a month, and when I serve their wines, people always want to know where I got them. Many of their wines run between 11-15 dollars and are discounted if you buy in bulk..... very reasonable for a nice bottle of wine. Also, they don't charge for their tasting. The people are always super-friendly and smile even if something doesn't agree with your taste. The only negative is that the gift shop is very overpriced, but then again Helen is a tourist town, so you have to pay to play!!! The wines are my favorite and that is why a 2 hour road trip every few months is always worth it.Love you guys... keep up the grape work. :)

This was our favorite excursion of the day. The wines were so good that we bought a bottle and I'm looking for them distributed locally here!

We were very excited to see the Winery Tasting Room open on the Square in Dahlonega while visiting there. We were greeted by a lovely lady that really knew her wine! My husband prefers sweet wines and there were a couple he was quite impressed with. I on the other hand go for lighter wines and those also were on the menu. A great little shop to pick up not only the wonderful wines of Habersham, but also many neat little gift items to bring home. Well worth a stop if you are in town and don't have time to visit the actual Winery in Helen.

Great location, as you enter into Helen. No charge for the tasting. Some nice tasting wine. Not my favorite, but enjoyable. The server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. Was a pleasant experience. If you're in Helen and have a hour or 2 to spend, stop in they have some cute gifts as well, prices are reasonable.

The guide on our tour was very knowledgeable of the wine process. The tasting room employee was polite and could answer our questions about every wine we sampled. If you get a chance to do the wine tour while in Helen it will be a great day trip and a chance to sample several different vineyards offerings.

This is the only place we found that didn't charge for wine tasting!! They are very nice, informative of other wineries, knowledge of wines. We have visited them twice now & buy from them. Their prices are also best price that we found at wineries. They also have some nice shopping items that is wine related but also non wine items. Very reasonably price!

My husband and I always stop here when we are in the area. The wines are delicious. There are lots of gift items too. I loved the t-shirts and the funny sayings on them. The only one I can remember shows a parrot hanging off a glass of wine and the caption is, "Screw the crackers!" If it had said "The Heck with the Crackers!" I probably would have bought it. :-) But the wines are delicious, with most costing between $10 and $20, with most closer to $10--like $12.95-$15.00. These wines all taste better than any wines we tasted in Georgia's "Wine Road" which takes one to 6 different wineries. We bought a bottle of the sweeter wines at each winery on a previous trip, and didn't like any of them. Tastings were $10 at each of those wineries and that is much too much. But at Habersham it is free, though I don't remember how many one can get for free. At least 4. But it was enough for us to decide what we wanted to buy!

After having visited the Habersham store in Dahlonega, we wanted to visit the actual winery with my sister and her husband. It was so worth it. The staff is knowledgeable and professional. The wines were excellent. so far, Habersham wines are the best of the local North Ga wines. All of us bought various bottles, and we will be back with more family members.

I love this winery! The people are friendly and I love their wines. It is a must see for a wine drinker if you visit Helen. I come to Helen at least 5 times a year and I always stop by.

Stopped in to check out the local wines. Greeted very warmly as we came in, and the gentleman (Tom) who took care of us for the wine tasting was friendly and knowledgeable. Great wines, found a couple we liked and picked up to carry home. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely on our list to visit again next time we're in the area.

Situated just on the edge of downtown Helen, this winery is a must stop on your to do list! The building itself a beautiful old home painted white. You get to taste four wines at no charge. ( couple sips each ). Bottles of wine are very reasonably priced. The inside has a plethora of nick nacks that you can buy, some quite unique and nice!
