When I go to the Fox, I prefer to sit in the balcony. The orchestra seats are almost flat, and there is good chance that I'll get stuck behind someone tall or with poofy hair, and will have to spend the show craning my neck to see the stage. With the balcony seats, though, the seating is almost like stadium seating at a modern movie theater, and even short people get a great view. I also like the perspective you get of the theater facade from above. It's not cheap, though. Locals can go to the box office to get tickets without having to pay the online fees.

We saw Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith at the Fox for their annual Christmas concert. What an amazing event! The two of them filled the stage with incredible faith music and we were mesmerized by their orchestra. Really important tip here. I purchased tickets at the very last minute and saw a reference to row AAA. I was a bit concerned about such seats but it turns out these are in the orchestra pit and right on the stage. We were literally carrying on a conversation with the performers and had a great time. You do need to confirm that the performers will be performing at microphones set up center stage at the front however. If not, you may have a bit of trouble observing the performance.

Love these old style Theatres as the seating and sound is so much better than then the big arenas. We went to see John Mellancamp and the acoustics were good, the only down side would be if your far back it is still hard to see the stage. There are several restaurants in the area but if your going to a show get there early as the seats fill up fast.

What is there not to like about this place? I saw Ray Lamontange here and it is still to this day the best show I have been to.

We have seen many shows at the Fox Theatre. From musicals to concerts I have yet to be disappointed. Staff is always friendly and helpful. They sell plenty of snacks and beer as well...granted the food and beer is never cheap but I kinda expect that. The venue is fabulous with such rich history. Although it's old, nothing about the shows which they host are. Excellent sound and acoustics. Do yourself a favor though and if you go to a show there, go ahead and buy the parking pass. Yes it's 15-20 bucks but well worth it for the short walk to the theatre and knowing your vehicle is somewhat in a secure location.

Great place to see a concert or Broadway show in ATL! The fox has so much to offer, beautiful and exotic interior design, live immersive experience not unlike a Disney feature attraction, good acoustics, small enough to feel personal.

My friend and I were in town to see Wicked the musical, which was totally fabulous. Fox Theatre is an amazing landmark. It is like stepping back in time seeing the beautifully lit marquee outside and the splendor of the inside. This place is a pure treasure! The only reason I did not give this a full 5 stars is because of the adult beverage that I bought. I bought the signature drink called Defy Gravity. The price is really outrageous at $14.50 per martini. The total cost was $17.00 due to the tip I gave. When I got to my sit, after about 3 sips (I really tried drinking this because of the cost), I went to throw it in the trash. It was the worst dessert martini I have ever tasted. My advice...Go see a show and enjoy this amazing theatre, but if you want alcohol, perhaps stick with wine or beer.

I went to the theatre as our company was holding its Awards Ceremony there. It was like stepping back in time 100 years - beautiful architecture, swimming in history - wonderful. It was just a shame I couldn't be there a week later - Bob Dylan was playing!

We saw Wicked in this theater and thoroughly enjoyed it. The theater was much fancier than our normal theater (TPAC in Nashville). The best part is the sky ceiling with twinkling stars. The worst part is the ridiculous line for the bathrooms. Go to the bathroom early and don't drink too much because you'll miss the show standing in line for the bathroom.

This is one of the oldest and most beautiful theatre I've ever been too. The style was antique and luxurious. The history was amazing to experience.. This is where Gone With The Wind first appeared on opening night with Clark Gable. The Fox theatre is in the heart of the downtown area. You'll see the latest Broadway shows or a selection of many concerts with a more personal atmosphere. I rate this 5 stars and when in Atlanta attend this Historical site. Very close is Margaret Mitchell's home and also many attractions, such as Centennial park, Home of the 1996 summer Olympics. I would also recommend having lunch at the Varsity. Famous for the many presidents, sport fiqures, and entertainers. The place is packed so don't let this stop you..Of course take photos.. Atlanta has so many things to offer and see.. I love living here..Best wishing to all travelers..
