I didn't want to like this place as much as I do because it just wasn't my idea of a spa in the traditional Burke Williams sense of the word. But I have to say, once I got over the way it was set up and the simplicity of it all - nothing fancy, just a whole lot of naked ladies walking around trying to get the impurities/kinks out and relax - I was like, "this is pretty cool." When you arrive there's a $25 entry fee at the door, you get a tshirt/shorts/bracelet and enter the ladies side of the facility (yes, there's also a men's side). Now, for $25 dollars you can use all the hot tubs, sauna igloos, showers, and pool located in the facility and stay all day and night. With the bracelet you received, you get access to an assigned locker and you can purchase certain treatments a la carte and dine at the korean snack bar in community area. There is also a gym upstairs if you need to exercise. All fees are paid when you leave and return your bracelet - which is cool because then you don't to worry with going back and forth to your locker to get your money or wallet. Please note: there's no tranquil, soothing spa music and low lighting. There are no soft spoken massage therapists gently placing your arm this way and that. There are no couches and chairs to relax in and check your texts. BUT what you do get is a simplistic, welcoming, open space that really makes you appreciate the minimalist and somewhat assembly line way they operate. There are cushions and pillow blocks for all patrons to use if you're just relaxing on the heated floor or enjoying a sauna igloo in the common area. Even at the snack bar, you pick up a cushion and sit on the floor at low tables. its a very interesting cultural experience and silence is golden all around so please remember that if you're coming with friends who like to be loud - there are signs everyone encouraging you to "be proud, not loud". Services range from $40 and up. My favorite is the body scrub with oil (it includes a massage and is an hour long vs. the scrub with no oil which is 30 minutes). You sign up for services by writing your bracelet number on the white board located near the service entrance. When your number is called (not your name) you may enter the haven of relief and relaxation. This body scrub is like no scrub I've had before and gives new meaning to "hurts so good". There's a Hip Bath that claims to relieve and improve anything that ails your "lady parts" from menstrual cramps to infertility. You can get a Foot Treatment for $50 and believe me - when they're done you don't even want to walk on your "new feet". There are about 4 sauna igloos and a few sauna rooms ranging from ice treatments to salt treatments. The experience can be as private or as communal as you want it to be. It can be as fun and silly or as spiritual and peaceful as you want it to be. There is an experience here for anyone who is open to this bath house style spa. If you're conservative...don't like to be nude or see random naked bodies...need lots of privacy...or not open to an entirely new spa experience, this place is not for you. If you're the slightest bit interested in what I've described, you've got to go check this place out. I prefer to go during the week if I can because weekends can get crowded now especially since it has been featured on tv. This place is one of the best kept secrets of Duluth, Georgia...well, it used to be.

It's not as big or as fancy as the sauna places in NYC or LA or even NJ. This place is small, limited pool area and not as fancy. But after a long day on a business trip, this was the perfect place for some R&R. The foot massage was a bit more expensive than NY, $50 + tip for an hr. The body scrub was surprisingly affordable, $40 + tip. Both were excellent. Entrance fee was $25.

Girls weekend & everyone wanted to try this place out. I was NOT in game mode. I'm a big girl & the reviews that stated nudity in women's area. Well... It made me even more apprehensive. The co-Ed part was wonderful. (No nudity- tshirt & shorts in all co-Ed areas). I loved the salt & charcoal sauna the most. I truly felt like it was absorbing the every day chemicals I am exposed to. I wish we would have had lunch there. The food smelled wonderful. When we all went into the gender specific areas for the steam saunas/hot tubs I thought "what the heck" I'm going to do this all out. Truthfully the reviews were right. No other women cared at all. We were all there to experience tranquil and relaxed state of mind in our most basic state of being. There were women with young children, big ladies like myself, small ladies, young & old. Within minutes I was totally at ease. I will go again & will recommend to everyone. Totally liberating.

I had no familiarity with a Korean Spa and thought it would be a good experience for my husband and I after going online, reviewing the services available and reading reviews. When I hear the words like sauna and massage it evokes images of peace, quiet and tranquility. We went on a Saturday night. It was packed. The staff was not very engaging, not like I'm used to seeing in a typical spa. The experience was more like checkig in at LA Fitness Gyms. We checked in, were given uniforms and a key. I felt like I was being checked in to a county jail. We went to our separate lockers. I figured out that the number on the key pertained to locker numbers. The first set of lockers was for your shoes. The lock on mine did not work so I hoped for the best that my shoes would still be there at the time of my departure. I walked in the locker room and was not prepared to see everyone walking around naked and there were little girls there as well. Quite shocked I put on my prison garb and went to the common area to meet my husband. His experience was the same, but the naked room full of men didn't bother him, the pool occupied by bears checking out the clients with no discretion bothered him.The common area was like a food court in a mall. The cute hut shaped saunas that are on the website and the cafe are located there. We ate at the cafe. The staff members did not have a good command of the English language so we figured out on our own that your order number was the number on your key. The tables are low to the ground, we sat on mats and used stainless steel chopsticks which I thought was so cool. The place was packed and seating was limited but that did not stop groups from parking themselves on tables to watch movies on their computers. The entire common area was filled with people on their phones and tablets! We wanted to try all the saunas. All saunas have clear signs stating no cellphone use and to keep talking to a minimum. None of this is enforced. The first sauna we entered was filled with a 20 something hen pen, therefore no peace was found there. The lack of peace and quiet was the general rule in the saunas and if the sauna was semi-quiet, the din of the orders being called from the cafe just made the whole experience irritating. We abandoned all hope of enjoying the saunas and decided to try massages. I wanted an accupressue massage, my husband wanted oil massage, we confirmed our choices by pointing on their dry erase board which massages we wanted. We were led to a back room with curtains partitioning off masasge beds. It looked like a line of beds in an old emergency room. So, while my husband and I had our massage, I got to enjoy the moaning of some stranger 2 beds away. My husband's masseuse did not understand English well so he got an accupressure massage instead of the oil massage he wanted.I think the concept is nice, but the execution leaves much to be desired. I suppose with an entrance fee of $25, you get what you pay for.

I love this place and it is a most do weather you live here or just visiting. Its a nice place to just relax. There is a $25 entry fee, which I feel should be waived if you spend at least $100 while you are there. The floors are heated, which is nice since you will probably be bare footed the whole time. The female and male locker room wet areas are separated. These are the areas that you will be completely nake in. My two favorite things to do is the hip bath and the body scrub. The body scrub is $40 and is like taking 1,000 baths. You will be 2 shades lighter after this. The hip bath is for females only and it cleans inside your girly parts.

At $25/person for entry only, you absolutely cannot beat that kind of price for a 24 hr stay and the amenities that are offered! You get the privelege to walk & sleep on heated jade floors, access to the heated saltwater pool, the seven different saunas (which all have different healing properties), the fitness room & jacuzzis that are located inside each respective locker room. On the flip side, it was a little uncomfortable getting in the jacuzzi, bathing & walking around naked in front of complete strangers! The only privacy you get is in a bathroom stall. Also, the staff was not as professional & courteous as I would have expected for this type of establishment. Lastly, the cheapest couples massage (which I had the opportunity to experience for an hour or less) was $160 & way overpriced! For authentic Korean dishes, food was well priced & easy on the palate. Speaking of prices, this is my second visit & I highly recommend the body scrub! It's worth every bit of the $40! Overall, the entry fee alone is worth the experience.

I visit Jeju every few months. It's the perfect place to learn how to be still again. My boyfriend or a set of girlfriends usually accompanies me. Yes that's right, it's great for groups and ladies nights. If you have never been here, they do offer a tour so that you know what you are getting into. For $25 you get to stay for 24 hours. They hand you a set of scrubs to switch into, you ditch your shoes and put your clothes in a locker. You also get a bracelet that has your locker key and # on it. For the barefoot squeamish (like myself) keep in mind that they constantly clean/sanitize the floors and surrounding areas. The communal rooms are for families, men, women and they are big and roomy too. They have a giant main room where it's always kept just above room temperature for a cozy feeling. This is where most folks hang out together, talk, watch their laptop/phones, read or relax. Then there are the 4 "dry heat" rooms nearby enclosed in minerals like coal and clay which is good for blood pressure. There are 3 more humid rooms that are enclosed in metals and minerals like jade, silver, gold, and salt; these are great for muscles with aches and pains. There is a rock, ice room that's pretty cold. I go in here to let my muscles contract and then run back to the hot rooms. It's perfect for folks like me with back aches. All of these rooms are for males and females and their guests. Every night around 11:30 pm, they take out bed mats, and blankets. Everyone goes to sleep and a lull encloses the place till about 8am. It's so relaxing to pass out after being in the sauna's, then wake up and go straight to work. You will feel so relaxed and amazing! I do it all the time and it looks like everyone around the place does too. They do offer a food court next to the communal room that's open till 3am. You can get anything from chicken fingers to bibibap (Korean food). Prices range from $8-$15 and it's all good food. You can also get ice creams, juices and smoothies (must try these, FYI they do let you mix 2 flavors). Any food or extra service you get, just show them your bracelet with the locker # and they charge you when you check out. Don't have to worry about carrying $ around. The wet areas of male and female separated. These will be in adjacent to the locker rooms. These are clothes optional, yeah get over it, everyone is naked. Though you can avoid this area altogether if you are shy and stay in the communal areas. These rooms aren't for everyone and it sh

JeJu is Atlanta's never advertised and local GEM. Located in suburb of Duluth, they have a very regular and devoted clientele. Thats the best part of JeJu, they are quality and never seem to seek to be "commercial". I think it is very culutrally genuine. I cant think of any better value - ever. If this location was attached to a chain hotel, you'd pay $250 for a few hours. easy.I have only heard complaints from those who didnt seem to be aware that this is a korean spa. different that many others. advice: check out their website first. youll know immediately if this is for you. note that the same sex nude area is a small component. i was timid at first, but people are very mature, no funny business, and the set-up is conducive to therapeutic benefits. plus, in the water you cant see anything anyway. ... and... people are too busy relaxing to look at you!you cant use the hot tubs unless you are fully naked. how much clearer can jeju be? lol. there are other things to do, but don't be upset when the policy is clear up front.a body scrub isnt like at a typical "american" establishment... it did feel more intense (im sensitive), but the results were AMAZING! i got skin compliments weeks later :)there is not much conversation or staff interaction. that is on purpose !!! this is sort of self service and introspective. staff is always "casually lingering" in case guests need assistance. theyve always been very courteous with explaining, tours and services. if you have translation issues, the manager will relay your requests. im just not into spa food. lol. so i have to leave when i get hungry.some people have thought the staff was rude. i think this might be a misunderstanding. customers should plan to be proactive and ask for what you need. if the staff kept checking in with EVERYONE, it would RUIN the tone, quiet and meditation a lot of people are engaging in. JeJu isnt for you if: if you WANT staff "friends" to chat with all evening, want to use hot tubs with clothing, want to chat all evening with your friends (unless you schedule a group activity with mgmt), or have a hard time being relatively quiet, lol.for everyone else in the world: JeJu is AWESOME!!! i go solo just for quiet time, with friends to meditate or sit in the sauna (and i have a fitness club membership with sauna), for services: massages and scrubs, and ive attended group events (birthday and sorority nite out).Ive lived in many cities, including Chicago, and this spa is def tops. I think that even if you go for $25, you wont regret it - Im moving soon and i SWEAR ill fly back for JeJu/ATL weekends.

When you know the tricks of how to navigate inside this Oasis.....you will never be the same again- for the better.I'd like to begin by saying that I was recommended here by my best friend who has been a professionally licensed practicing massage therapist at a regional 'Fortune 500' managed facility for 12 years (and is also a Korean-English language tutor).I was in desperate need of Alternative Therapy to relieve issues I've been battling since I was very young. I've tried it all- Counseling, Chiropractor, Deep-tissue massage, Acupuncture, Reiki........still something was wrong. I had figured a spa getaway was something I hadn't tried so I began searching on this site and around the internet to see what my options were. You know its NOT going to be good for your bank account when sites tell you to call for rates. Yeah, this was going to cost me an arm and a leg but, what choice do I have, I need therapy and Doctors alone aren't working, I mean, I'm just going through revolving door after revolving door for therapy after therapy within the last 5 years or so.My massage therapist BFF tells me that she hadn't had any help for her problems until she tried the Hip Bath at Korean Spa around the Atlanta area. But THEN she mentioned something about everyone being naked. WOW, that gave me tons of apprehension. Well, not everyone, just your own sex. You see, the wet area where the majority of whirlpools, steam baths, and body therapies are, are very, very wet and slick. To keep properly sanitized you shower often before each bath as part of the detox process. For this reason, its pointless to keep a suit on, you're constantly wet from place to place. Its not even bad really, you just glide effortlessly out of one pool and into another as your body experiences the ultimate of blissful pampering. Towards the end I felt like a very happy pond frog grinning widely from ear to ear! Later before moving into in the common male/ female area you put on a nice short & shirt set then go have some extremely delicious Korean or American food before getting in the generously themed Co-ed Specialized Saunas. If you've never been before, ask the front desk to get someone to give you a tour. Please DO keep in mind that these therapies have been practiced, implemented, and perfected by the Korean culture for several THOUSAND years and everything offered at this Spa really does WORK in tandem with your body in an intricate dance of Holistic rhyme- your body, mind, AND spirit are being treated at this extremely affordable state-of-the-art facility.I'd been battling headaches for weeks until I got the body scrub with oil. Not only did it shave about 3 pounds of dead skin off me but the massage she provided afterward fixed the kink in my neck better than the chiropractor ever had AND I had lost almost 10 pounds of water weight after my therapy sessions were over. My headache even melted away. I feel like a brand new person with the disappointments of the hectic problems of the past few years having melted away. Its only $25 to get in for 24 hours! Where else in the world are you going to get fabulous pampering for your body, mind, and soul for only $1 per HOUR??? Nowhere else!Order one of the extra therapies because these Korean workers really DO know what they are doing. They study Holistic Energy Therapy as well as meridians and chi-flow points of your body and actually DO balance you out and de-stress your physical self to promote internal healing and personal betterment. Nervous because they don't speak English? No need to worry. Just tell the manager what your ailments are or spots that are tender-sore that you DON"T want them to mess with. They'll translate it to your personal body work technician and I promise you, your body will get the love and care it deserves from the very best highly trained therapists Korea can provide. I should know because I myself have been studying and practicing alternative holistic therapies for over 16 years!I will be going back EACH month and soothe my aching over-burdened Mind and Soul happily for years to come with a very grateful heart and wallet :)

Been here both solo and with my wife. Massages and Body Scrubs are great. But I like to spend time in all the saunas and have dinner at the food court.

I absolutely adore this place!!! I travel the 45 minutes and stay the night. The body scrubs are all amazing. If this is your first time I recommend the mid grade scrub with oil so u can get a massage too. The hip bath is cool too,if you like that type of thing. It wasn't necessarily my cup of tea. I haven't tried the food yet because I always stop at one of the restaurants in the area. It does include free wifi so feel free to listen to Pandora on your headphones. The sleeping arrangements include a mat, pillow, blankets and sauna room of your choice lol. I find the mat and pillow to be hard, but for $25 you cant complain (that's where the star was lost). Services go until about 3am. And yes for SOME services you are nude around others; body scrub, hip bath (you wear a personal shower curtain), hot sauna, and Jacuzzi. But no one cares, so why should you. They also have a gym, a smoking floor and a nail shop (warning stay away from the nail shop they are horrible. They are a separate entity and their sterility is questionable to say the least). Otherwise everything is very clean, Ive witnessed their cleaning techniques first hand.

My husband and went here for my birthday, and I got the works: acupuncture massage the worst I've ever gotten I could tell that this lady wasn't license and didn't know what she was doing I'm still in pain from her false massage. The foot detox was a joke he didn't know what he was doing, but the body scrub was good (I don't think you have to be trained to do that) the hip bath was good. The women in the restaurant was very rude. They must think us Americans or stupid and want check the credentials ask to see the massage therapist license numbers so you know that the money you're paying isn't for a non trained person! From now on I will be more diligent in getting this information before any massages!!!

This place is great. However you need to be ready for some culture shock if you have never been to a korean spa: You need to be comfortable with nudity since it is absolutely required in the gender-segregated wet area where many people shower sitting or crouching; the shared area outside is lively and has an open korean restaurant which obviously smells like korean food; you are required to soak for a long time before the scrub so be prepared to be bumped down the list unless you have been in the hottest pool for a long time (and it has become obvious to the supervisor). They are really strict about the rules and some of them might seem strange. The place looked really clean but the uniform I got looked kind of gross (check it first) so I changed it. I had an amazing time with one of girlfriends. If you are on a budget you can stick to the services included with entrance fee only. For 25 dollars you can stay 24 hours and that gives you access to the gender segregated wet area, shared salt water pool (bathing suit required) and the open area that also houses all the dry saunas, then it's a dollar for each extra hour, which is great since you lose track of time. They provide all the essentials but if you are a bit of a cleanfreak do bring or buy your own soap (they provide shared bars), korean scrub mit; as well as bringing your own shampoo and conditioner since it might not work for every hair type (it was fine for me). The shared saunas are just the right temperature for not overheating while wearing the uniforms and staying a long time. The regular bodyscrub is the way to go even if it is a little awkward since they scrub strongly everywhere and the therapist is rather underdressed LOL, but your skin will feel amazing afterwards. I did not try the hip bath but my friend said it was amazing. The services can add up so don't go overboard with the massages. You can use your key to charge them and pay for everything at the end. Try the patbingsu.

It is mediation heaven! Go to clear and cleanse your mind, heart and soul. I have been several times and it has become my new place to escape the busy world and life's problems. Go solo or with your mate... Both are worth it!
