I have been coming to this park for swimming for the past 20 years during the summer break for almost every week . In that time frame you would think that the level of service and grounds upkeep would have gone down....not so! This park rivals those other parks that we like to say are on the "north end". I've been to those other parks as well....and yes, they are nice.....but so is Mark Trail(name changed now). The grounds are always clean and manicured, the staff always very knowledgeable, well-trained and kind. They run a tight ship when it comes to the life guards. They all take very seriously what they do and even though some of the lifeguards are usually young (High school/College).....they do not play around while on duty. They are highly professional. They address any concerns with patronsbehavior quickly....in the last 20 years I have seen only one or two minor incidents that they took care of promptly. In fact the only way I knew there was something going on when I noticed them taking care of the problem. Personally, I would have never thought that I could have continued to visit this park for this long....just naturally some areas have a tendency to "go down" after many years. I appreciate Dekalb/Decatur not forgetting the pools on "my side of town". Thank you for a another job well done.
