My now-husband and I bought passes to skydive and the first day the weather didn't cooperate, which of course happens. The second time we drove out the plane was out of order and when we called to find out what happened the employees said they called one of us and left a message, which we didn't get, and they didn't bother emailing. It was a long drive for nothing, but okay, mistakes happen.Then we moved to Texas pretty suddenly for work and called to ask for a refund since we tried to use the passes but it didn't work and we wouldn't be in state anymore. They have a strong no-refund policy and told us a manager would call us back and was out of the office. We never got a call back, but this dance of calling and being told a manager would be in touch and was out of the office went on for over 6 months.At this point I feel so disrespected and that the customer service is so terrible I don't trust to jump with this company, and would strongly recommend against it. I guess it was an expensive way to learn this company is not safe and does not care about its customers.

ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I WILL NEVER TRY TO JUMP WITH SKYDIVE GEORGIA AGAIN. The Staff is extremely unprofessional, disorganized, and unfriendly. We bought tickets from a friend who wasn't able to use them and when we tried to make a reservation and switch the tickets to our names, we were told that they would expire in just a few weeks, no extensions. We moved around commitments that were previously made, and made a point to get down there before the expiration date.After making the 2 hour drive, we had to wait 4 HOURS for wind, which apparently kept dying down and speeding back up; all the while Skydive the Farm next door was flying and diving. After waiting as long as we could and being told by a staff member not to expect to jump for several more hours we decided to take a rain check. On the waiver we signed that we understood that if for any reason we could not jump today that we had a two year rain check to come back and jump. When we tried to get our promised rain check, we were told that since we had bought someone else's ticket we were not technically entitled to one but to call the next day when the manager was there and talk to her. After a week of trying to get in touch with them and getting the runaround, being told they were busy and would call back later (which they never did) or being put on hold for ungodly amounts of time, I finally (15 CALLS LATER) was able to talk to THE SAME staff member that told me to call them on Sunday because she couldn't handle it. She rudely informed me that she talked to the manager and could only extend it two weeks and that honestly we were lucky to even get that privilege. Thanksgiving Break falls in this time period, so not only will it be freezing but I will be out of town visiting family, so this helps us none... I honestly probably won't even use my ticket, at this point I'd rather lose the money than have to deal with these people one more time or have to jump at a time or day when I'm not comfortable going.I WILL NEVER TRY TO JUMP WITH SKYDIVE GEORGIA AGAIN and I recommend no one else does. I have no clue as to how they stay in business talking to their customers the way they spoke to me or handling situations like they did. I'm just glad this wasn't my first skydiving experience, because I probably would never jump. The staff is very rude, hard to get in touch with, and unprofessional, the building is dirty and doesn't instill a feeling of safety. The instructors sat there and complained about having to pack up the tandem chutes and about the worst jump experiences they have had and problems they've dealt with while jumping, right in front of us.. If you're planning on going skydiving I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU GO TO SKYDIVE THE FARM INSTEAD OF HERE. It is so much better, I loved my instructor and videographer and the environment was much more friendly and professional. Save yourself the trouble of dealing with this place...

Its hard to put the experience into words. I would recommend sky diving to any and everyone after my dive. I am easily prone to motion sickness and am terrified of heights but was not negatively impacted in any way. The free fall and parachute was a totally positive experience. The shop or staging area was not in the best shape, apparently the building was being renovated so there was only concrete floors, no where to sit and was just uncomfortable. We were told to show up at 10am but did not dive until 2pm, I'm telling you to bring a snack. The equipment seemed to be well taken care of and appeared in good shape. Some instructors were more personable then others, you can request a diver but no guarantee you'll be matched with them. When you are putting your life in a strangers hands it would have been a more positive experience to enjoy their company... It was very disconcerting that there was no briefing of the equipment/technique before the jump. There was very little information along the way. If your the type to jump into things without knowing/looking this is a perfect match. If you would feel more comfortable being guided through the process look elsewhere

Had my first skydive ever yesterday - a tandem jump with Johan as my instructor and Woody as my videographer. It was easily the most fun I've ever had. The guys were great and very funny too.

Absolutely loved skydiving at Skydive Georgia. I went with a group so we got a group rate. I did the higher elevation - you get to stay in the air for a minute more, I think. I've been hang gliding before - skydiving beats the socks off of any other "in the air" sport/experience. It is a wild experience! It's short but it feels so incredibly long because there is no other experience quite like it.My tandem expert skydiver to whom I was attached was very thorough. He didn't tell me any information until I was in the airplane but that was a good thing for me. I didn't need to over think the steps - just do them. (There are only like three things to remember - don't worry!) Once we jumped from the plane I felt my breath leave. I was so taken with the experience I realized after a couple seconds that I had to remind myself to breathe. The free fall portion was a whirlwind. I think my body was in shock of sorts. It is so weird to free fall. You want to brace yourself for a landing so you tense up but you just have to tell yourself to relax and obey the instructor's directions (arch yourself back, keep your hands crossed over your chest until he tells you to put them out to your side, keep your head UP). The pull of the parachute jerks you. It is immediate suspension so just be prepared but after that you calm down and take in the views. They can do more turns if you are interested - it is a little more fun, but you may not want to do that if you get queasy/motion sickness easily.Definitely wear jeans and tennis shoes - things that won't fall or slip off. I went in April and I needed a jacket.DEFINITELY get a photo package of some kind. I got the middle priced one - I think $99.00. It had a video and pictures of the skydive. I love watching it, showing it to friends. You will want to see it again because it goes by quickly. It will help you remember the experience more.

Disclaimer: I kept my feet firmly on the ground and am writing this for my husband and our 19 year old daughter. They are both adrenaline junkies and skydiving has been high on their list. Our daughter finally coerced my husband into the adventure and after reading reviews and getting personal recommendations, we went with Skydive Georgia. Lots of paperwork (which is to be expected) and an hour wait time then they were off to the plane. According to them, after they took off everything went quickly which is probably good for anyone with cold feet. They both felt very safe with their tandem instructors before and during the dives. They have both tried to remember details from the freefall portion, but say it is all a blur. Thank goodness we purchased the video to help their memory! Their computer that holds their video editing software was unavailable so we have to wait to receive the disc in the mail - just gives them something else to look forward to! They both said it was one of the greatest thrills they've had and they definitely want to jump again with Skydive Georgia!

Both my kids had wanted to go skydiving. When my son turned 18, we thought it would be a good birthday present and since the kids were going, my wife and I decided to join them. We made the reservations just a couple of days before the jump after doing a fair amount of research. I had read a lot of mixed reviews about many of the area skydiving facilities, but Skydive Georgia seemed to have the most positive reviews and NONE complained about the professionalism of the staff which seemed pretty darned important given the sport.We were scheduled to jump at 1pm and since the facility is about an hour away, we were headed out to the car when we got a phone call telling us that due to some weather in the area, no jumps had been done in the morning so we could reschedule for 3pm or for another day. We were all ready, so we decided to take the 3pm slot.When we got to the facility at about 3pm, it looked like chaos. There were people everywhere. It turned out that they were still running behind and still trying to catch up. Not to worry, they had a deck out back where they were grilling. There were dogs running around to pet and everyone was in a great mood.At about 6pm, we were told that our family wouldn't be in the same load - my son would go on one and the other three of us would go on the next flight. Everyone was apologetic about the wait and splitting us up. I know how difficult the scheduling can be, but it was my son's birthday and we were all hoping to jump together and asked if there was any way to get us all on the same load.At about 6:45pm, we were all pretty burnt from being there all afternoon. Everyone's cell phone battery had died, so we actually had to talk to each other. At that point, they called our names and told us we'd all be together on the last load of the day. We all woke up quickly when we realized we were actually going to be jumping out of a plane at 14K feet.While helping us into the harnesses and very carefully telling us what we needed to do and what to expect, the instructors made a bunch of bad jokes about the 'chute packers and it being the end of the day and how mistakes could be made . Of course, we'd been watching the folks pack chutes all afternoon and were impressed with the precision and care they took with each one, so we weren't too worried about that.At 7:30pm, we hustled to the plane, got on and took off. In what seemed like *way* too short of a span of time, we were at 14K feet and ready to leave a perfectly fine airplane. I'm actually not a huge fan of heights, so looking out the side of a plane did not do wonders for my stomach.There's no way to describe the freefall and subsequent ride to the ground, so I won't try, but I will say, if you have ever thought about trying a skydive or if you ever do think about it, go to Skydive Georgia. Every one of the people we met were professional, friendly, and helpful.Our wait was no way indicative of the normal wait time, but we went into with the expectation that there might be a bit of time to kill and with the right attitude and the right staff, it was an awesome experience.

So I had bought my boyfriend and I jumps for our anniversary. I did not know what to expect exactly since I had never jumped from an airplane before but I figured that we would be in good hands with the pros. Day of, we drove to Cedartown from Atlanta which was about an hour and half. We get to the facility which is almost like a huge garage, outfitted with all the equipment and has a porch attached at the rear where spectators can watch the divers fall and float back to the ground. After signing the waivers and watching a safety video, we were put in queue. We waited for a couple hours until it was our load's turn which gave us time to watch the divers set up their equipment and watch a couple loads jump and float down. There was even a bbq going on for those of us that were hungry while waiting.When it was our turn, our tandem instructors suited us up and took us to the plane. My boyfriend's instructor was Cody who is kind of a rad daredevil with a lot of energy and who wants to have fun with his students on the jumps. My instructor was JJ who was a calm, knowledgeable guy whose presence helped relax me during the whole ordeal. Jumping was very exciting and exhilarating but my favorite part was the calm floating back to earth. It was peaceful and soothing after your nerves go a little crazy just before the jump. My boyfriend and I have already decided to go again soon. It was definitely worth it. If you are thinking of jumping for the first time, I can definitely say that this is the place to go. The staff was knowledgeable and experienced; our instructors specifically matched our needs perfectly.Thank you Skydive Georgia for a great way to celebrate our anniversary!! -Amy & Bryan

I'm a 60 year old female and this was not something on my things to do list but my sister in law wanted someone to go with so thought why not.They are very safety oriented with experienced jumpers that love to jump and I never felt fear.The jump is hard to describe. The initial shock of looking out the open door of a plane 14,500 feet up, then falling for what seemed a long time but was only a minute then the absolute quiet while you float above the clouds. At one moment I could see our shadow on the clouds circled by a rainbow, amazing.Thank you Skydive, GA for an unforgettable adventure.

Ok, this is not your typical resort review. Think about this as your best extreme roller coaster experience without rails with a drop of, oh say, 14,000 feet!! My dive today was incredible!About a year and a half ago, I signed up to skydive. I live in South Carolina, about two and a half hours from Cedartown, Georgia. Two times I made the drive only to be rained out from my jump. However, as they say, the third time is the "charm", and, today was "the charm", I made my first ever jump!I arrived , watched a video, and signed a couple of very detailed release forms. Heck, you are about to jump out of an airplane for Pete's sake!The guy I jumped with was Charley, whose dad was an Army HALO jumper. Charley had been around jumping since he was ten and made his first jump at 15. Heck, I was skate boarding at that age but it made me feel pretty safe even though he was only 23 years old. Charley was serious, explained what was happening as we prepped, and made our way up to 14,000 feet in a Beech King outfitted specifically for jumping. For those of you who don't know planes, this IS A PLANE...power, safety, and fast! Charley repeatedly checked and tightened straps and asked how I was doing. As we climbed to jump altitude, the banter was light between the jump crew, first time jumpers and the videographers we all hired to prove we did what we did to our friends, and family.The Jump. When we got to altitude, the oversized door opened and we slide down our bench toward the door. First the videographer would jump followed by each tethered team. Charley and I were the last out. My instructions, stand in a catcher's position at the door and hold on to the straps on my harness. I was looking down at earth 14,000 feet below, totally dependent on Charley. He said "let's go" and we rolled forward out the door, head first!As we dropped, I felt the wind push my cheeks back just like in the movies. Charley tapped my arms to let me know I could let go of the straps and fan my arms out and we went into a level fall. I had no concept of time but after about a minute of free fall, Charley opened our chute at 5,000 feet (with the jerk up, just like on TV) and we descended to a spot right next to the facility. A perfect landing. At this point Charley lost his seriousness and the joy of the jump came out as we high-fived, shook hands, bumped fists and just had these big poop eatin' (I can't use the other word) grins on our faces. He loved it as much as me.If you want to jump, this is the place to do it. Most important, they are pros...safety first. They love what they do and it shows.I'll be back boys and girls for another jump. You guys rock!
