I received a gift card for multiple services for Christmas and recently went to the spa with two other women (they received the same gift card). When we checked in we were told our gift cards had additional dollars remaining, over and above the services scheduled, which could be used in the gift shop, etc... I thought this very odd considering I don't live terribly close and wasn't sure when I'd go back the Spa. I even mentioned it to the hostess/employee when checked in because it seemed so strange but the employee confirmed the extra dollars/credit existed. As the day went on we made a point to use the remaining value on the card on skin care products, etc... Something I never would have bought but again, we wanted to use the entire gift card. A few hours after returning home I got a call regarding my charges for the day. I called back the next day. I spoke with the same employee from the day before and was told that the gift card had not been processed properly when we arrived and there shouldn't have been a remaining balance. The gift card was for the exact amount of the services we scheduled. The employee then asked for payment ($65+ per person) to correct the error. I was shocked and explained that we never would have purchased any facial product had the credit balance not existed. She stated she was frazzled when we were checking in and didn't catch the error until later that night. We were the only people checking in and the only customers in the lobby at all. I'm not sure how she could have been frazzled. I explained again that we never would have purchased expensive products if the credit balance didn't exist. She apologized for the inconvenience (rather than take responsibility for the mistake) and then asked for the the payment again. I believe that is TERRIBLE customer service. This was in no way and error on our part. They should have explained the situation, acknowledged the mistake (THEIR MISTAKE NOT OURS) and waived the remaining balance rather than demand that I pay for all three women immediately, over the phone.

The SPA is the place to be. They make you feel like royalty. We often do facials, pedicures, and lunch. It has become a tradition for our birthday celebrations. The staff are polite and attentive. The price is a little high, but we do on special occasions and we are "worth it"!

I had a wonderful spa visit on 1/20/15. I enjoyed my visit and felt very welcome there. The servers were very professional and courteous and I can't wait to return

I received an invite for a girls evening out by a member of Chateau's staff. Of course I accepted! I received exceptional treatment from the time I arrived. The tea was refreshing and served in a very relaxing environment with great scenery. I received a massage by Joseph?

My husband planned a visit to the Spa for me and I received a relaxing deep tissue massage. I took the walking trail down from the main building and it was a peaceful walk. As soon as I entered the area I felt relaxed. I remember seeing a sign that said leave all your worries at the door! Loved it! The check in ladies had all my information, sent me downstairs, I toured the amenities: pool area, waiting room, Jacuzzi, relaxation room and steam room. All equally nice, clean and relaxing. The area while you wait for your service was so relaxing and soothing. Comfy chairs, blanket, foot rest, soft music and peaceful view of what looked like a unspoiled back yard. The prices were about 15% higher than what I am use to paying for a deep tissue massage however the day was more of an experience then just a massage and so worth it! Look forward to going back!

Wonderful couples spa services. Therapist really know what to work on. Very professional and friendly.

My boyfriend and I spent the last day of our holiday at the spa. We had a great massage and had a great time!

Who doesn't love being pampered? Relax and enjoy a lovely massage then enjoy lunch or dinner at the Winery. They have a few new wines made from California grapes so it you prefer a nice Cabernet you should try the new wine..

Chateau Elan's spa is tucked behind the Inn, down the hill from the winery, nestled among low hanging trees. The walk there readies you for what's to come.Eucalyptus puts me right into the mood - very Pavlovian. The ease and quiet of the stone structure calms and delights.While my husband and I frequent spas whenever we can afford it - the time and the money - we had a newcomer with us. We were delighted with how they made him feel very comfortable and welcome.The space swirls around, downstairs and up, making it sometimes hard to keep track of where you are or where you're going. We each were escorted to individual rooms for deep tissue massages (only 50 minutes, which I've felt is a tease...just as you relax, boom, it's done.)My masseuse was fantastic and really able to dig in, which made it all the more sad that it was only 50 minutes long. However, at the end, I was escorted into a little shop room to purchase this that and the other. I wasn't interested. I never am.I located the rest of my party and we fluctuated between the first bright lounge area, which overlooks a pond, and the quiet room, which for some reason encourages no one to be quiet.My husband and our guest wandered up to the café (which I'm told the food was healthful, clean, and delicious.) I went upstairs for a back facial (a weird name since a facial is about the face, and a back has no face...anyway.) Again, when I finished, there we were back at the little shop. Again, I wasn't interested.We found each other again and soon afterwards were brought to another floor for our facials. Again, when I finished, here I was right back inside a little shop.Sigh...What was even more irritating was to learn than neither of the males were ever offered this "opportunity."Overall, we're fans - except for the obvious. We're looking at coming back and staying at the spa as a hotel.It's slightly overpriced, but that may be a perception thing, too. They include the 20% when you check in, so you don't have to bother with all that later, if you don't want to. Is this a benefit; I'm not sure.

I've been to the Spa @ Chateau Elan many times, but this was the first the first with my daughter and granddaughter. We had a wonderful time. Facials were relaxing and we were all beautiful afterwards.

Had a hot stone massage from Leigh and it was wonderful! She has years of experience and really knows what she is doing beyond providing a "fluffy" spa experience. The ladies locker room and relaxation rooms were all very clean and easily accessible. Went with my mother in law for her birthday present; it was great!

My boyfriend and i have had a great day at the spa since the check in for our massage , the guys are really friendly , thanks everybody we ll be back soon

Had a couples exfoliation and massage...since this was our first time with the exfoliation we did not know when to tell them it was enough. The facilities were nice. The masseuses were very good and gave excellent instructions.

This place was great. The service was just amazing. With my hot stone massage I also had all day access to their gym, indoor pool, Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. The massage was amazing and I would definitely go back. Oh and there is wine and champagne available to purchase as it is on a winery. YUM. Get the Chateau Elan chardonnay if you like an oaky buttery chard!

Had lunch at the spa with a friend that I have not seen in awhile. The spa was her suggestion since we both live close by. Shared a Caesar salad and order of crabcakes which were very good. We each had a glass of wine. The service was very good. Then we had appointments for pedicures. With tip the pedi was 86.00! The description of the Queen Bee sounded lovely but honestly my local group at 26.00 including tip is way more impressive! And wanted to share some family pictures but the WIFI is 10.95 Really!
