I took my 2 year old, 10 year old, and 4 month old. The older two had a great time. They loved the water. It is a great place for all ages.

Excercise or people watch in a relaxing environment. The grounds are well kept and bathrooms are relatively clean.

This is a very nice park. My kids enjoyed the splash pad and the playground. I always have to laugh at ACC and their planning. They build a million dollar park 1 mile from the biggest crime areas in the city. This is not in the iron triangle, but less than a mile from it. Wow.However, the park is beautiful. I noticed most tags in the parking lot were from other counties. We will be back as my family enjoyed it. I def will not be there in the evening.

I took my 4 year old nephew with 5 & 7 year old neighbors to the splash pad. Only $1 per person within the gated area. It is great for small kids who can't swim yet have a blast. They loved it!The walk between the parking lot to the splash pad & playground is rather long - you have walk by a football field & isn't handicap parking friendly of someone was with a walker or crutches, and a bit of a journey with small kids and bags. There is shade under nearby picnic tables & pavilions but not in the pad splash pad area.

This a nice park. They have a splash pad area that only costs $1. You get an arm band and can leave and re enter when you want. There's a playground there also with a soft material for padding so that if your child falls it won't hurt as bad. I saw two pavilions and a conference room where you can have birthday parties or get togethers. There's a baseball and football field there as well. If I had to nitpick my only hangup would be the overall lack of shaded areas and I would love if they added a pool in conjuction with the splash pad. That's why I rated it a 4 instead of a 5. But if you want spend a couple of hours of outside time with the kids you should come here.

The splash pad is an awesome way to spend an hour or two with kids, especially little ones who like water but aren't comfortable in a big pool. It only costs $1 per person, and it's full of fountains, water pumps, dump buckets, and even a water cannon. Anyone getting in the water needs to be in a swimsuit, not street clothes. When it's time to dry off, the playground right next to the splash pad has nice equipment for kids of different ages. There are two buildings with clean restrooms and water fountains. When it first opened last year, it wasn't very crowded at all, but this year has been pretty busy. I've been told it's least crowded in the late afternoons on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Downsides: As others have mentioned, there is no shade at all on the splash pad and very little shade at the playground, so if you aren't in the water, you're going to be really, really hot. The little parking lot fills up if there's a football game on the field by the splash pad, so if you have to park far away, the walk up the hill in the sun can be exhausting. I wish the parking situation were a little better.

Love this place for little ones. It only cost $1 per person to play all day. All the little ones there have a good time and are allowed to run and jump as they please without getting into trouble. They also have a playground for ages 3-12 and workout equipment for 14 and up. The play ground is unique. It looks like it would be challenging and fun for the older kids which I think is good. It is hot hot hot in the summer on the play ground and on the mat around the playground. My daughter had to wear her shoes to play. The workout stations have equipment you not typically see at parks. I didn't get on any but it looks like it would be a great free alternative to the gym. They have an elliptical, a bike and other workout equipment. It is all metal to resist the elements since its outside.

We visited for the new splash pad and were very impressed. The kids had a great time with all the various water features. The kids were given armbands to enter the splash pad area, which allowed them to exit for snacks and time to dry off on the playground. They could go between play areas freely. The park also has an exercise circuit for adults that uses body weight as resistance. It is in full view of the splash pad and playground so you can exercise while the kids play. There is a pavilion that can be rented for parties. The park is free, the splash pad was $1 per child. My only complaint about this park, as with all parks in Athens, is that there is no shade on the playground equipment, which makes it unusable on sunny, hot days. Canopies like you often see in Florida would be very nice.
