My idea of a 'bay' is something with sand that takes a bit of time to walk around.Spinola Bay is like quite a few in Malta - no sand and you can walk around it in 5 minutes.Lots of little boats so it's more like a small harbour with some nice pubs, bars and cafes around. A nice place to stop off an relax with a beer or coffee and also to have an evening meal perhaps.

An old fishing port lying in the most beautiful part of St Julian's surrounded by restaurants and bars. Exquisite beauty in the evning when all these places are lit and their reflections in the bay dazzle the spectator.Be there also in the summer months for the jousting competitions performed on long boats. Truly enjoyable.

Super atmosphere, boats bobbing in the bay, attractive eating places around the bay and a promonade to safely walk around. Lovely in the day but particularly attractive at night. Feels safe and relaxed. Not noisy or rowdy.

Wonderful place to go have good food, drinks and incredible bay promenade. It gets super crowded in the summer but is really an incredible place to see both day and night.

Watching the boats bob, the waves crash and the wee fishermen trying their luck on the shore is a lovely way to spend some time. Good bus service and lots of pubs and restaurants. The LOVE statue and padlocks are a nice touch. A great place to people watch.

A great mix of fishing village and busy town. Plenty of places to eat and drink. We were lucky enough to visit on a lovely sunny day and this place gets the very most of the sun

It was really nice to see how the locals get together in the evenings; just chatting & chilling out by the water

I stayed at the Hilton just a couple of hundred metres from Spinola bay. The bay is very quaint and attractive but with lots of bars, cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes. The bay (known localy as St Julien's bay) is gorgeous with lots of little multicoloured boats. It's an excellent place to relax with a drink or have a bite to eat. If you're with a lover or on honeymoon, Spinola Bay is one of the most romantic places on Malta. Very much the place to chill out, yet close enough to Valetta to make for a change of scenery if you want.

Loved its quaint aspect and attractive sea front. Enjoyed Dick's bar and the fact that it was easy to reach Valletta by bus..

Excellent place, love it Winter! Comfortably warm to sit at one of many bars, cafes, restaurants watching the world go by. Friendly locals, very clean and so easy to visit the rest of the island should you wish. We did all touristy things on our first visit so this trip was to be totally chilled and relaxed and it was! Thoroughly recommend this harbour and surroundings
