Looking down from the hill we have seen four eagles. it was worth climbing there. And the breakfact in one of the small squares, and narrow streets of the town and all other things

this review is only about the tour.We waited until Sunday for the tour, per other reviews. we walked up the short, but steep and winding hill only to learn there was parking outside. we missed the 11am tour and had to wait until 12:30 (i think their website said 1:30, so I was glad to get there early) . we paid 5 Euro per adult for the tour ( the gardens are 2 euros more) and sat down in the courtyard to wait the 45 minutes until the tour began. after about 30 minutes, the waitress approach and asked if we wewanted anything. we asked where the bathroom was and she said it was only for customers. i found this rude, but shrugged it of because I was excited about the tour. maybe it was a sign or what was to come. after waiting those 45 minutes, we had to inquire where the tour was meeting. no one told us or came to get us. when the tour started at the bottom of two flights of stairs, i was shocked by the "rules." the docent started by saying that if our child (who we were carrying) cried or made noise, we would have to leave the tour. while the former seems general enough to not require mentioning, the later really made us feel humiliated. as the parent of any young child knows, kids ( especially toddlers) make no qualms about talking or making noises (babbling) as adults talk. it doesn't prevent adults from talking or hearing a tour guide, but the fact the guide was saying this right as our daughter was mumbling told us the guide found this unacceptable. no one had ever talked like that to us in the 28 months she's been alive!!!..., in front of a crowd of about 8 people, to tell us we would jeopardize other people's experience of the tour...i understand they can set their own rules, but i just wish they had told us before we paid and waited so long. after being kicked out, as we left the group, the tour guide added insult to injury when she said one of us could stay. i felt like a school child... of course we could have made this choice or others had we been properly informed when we arrived... we came as a family and left as a family, but...consider yourself warned.

Stayed in the Foundation bedrooms last week. Really beautiful rooms with a stunning gardens to have a cool glass of white? A walk down the hill to the town centre for a browse through the market (sat) and back up the hill to do a tour of the magnificent palace. A must see if you visit Sanlucar.

It's better with a guide to show you around and explain the history. The gardens are very interesting with some unusual plants and trees.
