We took our tourer caravan from the UK to The Netherlands to stay on this site and just loved it. The people were very friendly and helpful and the facilities were very good. It was within easy biking distance from the gorgeous town of Delft which was such a bonus. But there is also a bus service from just outside the site. There are lots of places to visit in the area and as everywhere in The Netherlands, all very bike friendly. Well worth a visit.

While driving from England to our home (at the time) in Berlin we landed late on the ferry and searched for a hotel. Found a delightful small hotel, thankfully. The next day, Saturday, we went exploring on foot and chanced upon a street market along a canal. We loved the city, the market, the local restaurants. We said, if we had our choice of where to live in Europe (after London) it would be Delft. Delightful and friendly people everywhere we went, lovely town.

Delftse hout offers a perfect opportunity to drift apart from the city in just 10 min bike ride. The lake and its surrounding is a wonderful area to sit down and relax. Moreover, the circuit is the joggers and bike riders' paradise, especially in spring and summer.

Ok, it's a nice place to walk and bike, but to call this nature is somewhat too much. It is a manicured, straight roads park.

Amazing place to go and have a picnic, when the weather permits. The lake is very beautiful. Not very far from the city centre, can be reached by bike in 10 minutes. Good place to relax.

We'd been camping in Zeeland before staying at 'mini-camping' sites but this was our first trip to Europe with our caravan (puck) and our first stay at one of the Netherland's bigger and more commercial sites.Pitches are smaller and units closer together than we're used to on CC sites in the UK and the pitch we were given was a little bare and muddy after a long summer season and recent rain but apart from that we couldn't fault the site. A warm welcome (in English), facilities always clean and without queues (not sure what it would be like during school holidays though), very quiet (despite it's size) and in a great location only 5 minutes cycling or 15 minutes walk to the centre of Delft. We hired bicycles on site and didn't use the car at all for the week we were there.

We have been staying at this site since 1986 and I have to say we have done both camping and rental accommodation every year since and I have to say this is the best camp site that we have ever stayed on both in uk or Europe. The staff are fantastic, especially the owner Pim, security is great , facilities are just perfect and. Within short distance from delft town , love it there and would recommend it to anyone regards sue Lyward

After spending a fantastic week at the Vakantiepark Delftse Hout campsite, in one of the very impressive 'Chalets' available on the site, and expiriencing the wonderful town of Delft, we were packing up, and clearing up after our stay, when we were visited by a person, best described as someones very bad nightmare.Presumably, as she didnt introduce herself, she was a cleaner, coming to clean the Chalet at the end of our stay, ready for the next intake. She was very abrupt, and rude, and trated us like naughty school boys !Making us put the bed sheets in a laundry bag initially, then after, inspecting the wine glasses, and stateing that, we would not be recieving ALL the deposit that we paid at the beggining of the week, with the glasses in such a state. There were no dish clothes with which to clean the glasses with anyway.I was always under the impression, that the kitchenware, was always washed by the cleaners at the end of a stay. Maybe Im wrong. But this person didnt seem to want to do a lot of work, and we ended up recleaning ALL the kitchen ware again, in order to reclaim the deposit. This left us all with a dissappointing feeling, and it was such a shame after such a lovely stay at the site, with no other problems, the other staff were lovely, at such a young age, and very accomodating. We feel we must say something of this individual. All deposit was returned afer this.

Huge site, pitches are sectioned into 4 or 5 with hedges around the block. We had good neighbours with no kids.Loads of British campers which was great for us to interact with and they seemed to group people together which suited us.Staff were really helpful and spoke perfect English. The shop is very well stocked and has heaps of grocery items.Toilets and showers had soap and loo roll and they seemed to be constantly cleaning them which was great.Staff in the restaurant were rude to us our first night as we were exploring the place, only popped our heads in to check it out before yelling they were shut and then laughing at us.Kids club runs every day at 10am, 2pm and 6pm - possibly even more frequently. They call all of the kids by walking around with a trolley pumping loud music which got old!The walk into Delft itself was a bit of a let down as the paths were covered in rubbish, dog crap and tagging. The weather let us down too, didn't stop raining for a week!

It was an amazing experience. Good and kindly young staff. Between the haeg and r'dam (rent a bike if it's not rainy). The are many families and a lot of kids that run all away a lot of playground. And if you get a nieghbour like our "Leo" and his fantastic family the jouney become a pleasure.

Stayed here for the second time this year for over 3 weeks- hadn't planned to stay so long but we've been to many campsites in holland and this is the best overall. Helpful friendly staff. Fair price. Great location both in terms of what is available locally- all the attractions of Delft, the lake, cycling, children's farm and water play area etc etc, and what can easily be reached by bike or public transport- Den Haag, the beach at Scheveningen, Rotterdam etc. All facilities very good, shop, playground etc. toilets have not only paper but handwash, paper towels. Free showers. Amazing kids bathroom. Kids club also very good. Can't wait to come next year.

friendly campsite, easy walk into town, woods, lake or countryside; swimming pool, bicycle hire, children's entertainment during holidays... and they even sent us a Christmas card!

Easy to navigate through paths that cross fields and go through a little wooded area. There are sports fields here also, and a recreational lake. There were water birds, a hare and other animals around. Very nice!

We have stayed here a few times, it is very convenient for exploring Delft, a 15 minute walk. There is a fantastic Asian supermarket not far from here too, near the mcdonalds. There is a free petting zoo next door with café. The site itself has a good restaurant and bar. The play area is brilliant with plenty to do. There is also a good swimming pool. The shower and toilet facilities and clean and plentiful. There is a small supermarket at the reception area. There is a large lake just by the site which is nice for a walk around but be aware there is a nudist bathing area! There is a bus stop just outside the site.
