I went here for a breakfast! Amazing what kind of quality bread they make! Not that cheap foam-bread from the supermarket! Next to the cafeteria there is the bakeryshop where you can by bread to take home with you!

The place is a must if you are walking around the town. Food is also great, but we had to wait for almot an hour to get our coffee and sandwich. Go, but prefer some of the pastries and breads you can take away.

Part of the city Stokstraatkwartier is for me the most romantic in the Netherlands. The local specialty is Limburger cake that you buy at the bakery De Bisschopsmolen at the former mill street Koestraat. Unique atmosphere.

A fantastic find for gluten free fiends. The staff are consistently friendly. We had the vegetrian wrap, which was lovely. We also had the rice flan (rijst vlaai) - yum!! We preferred it to the fruit flans. The place is comfortable and there are outlets to charge your phone. Wifi is free and very stable. Molen means mill and there is a mill outside the shop which is a must see. Would definitely recommend a visit here. It is near the Our Lady's Cathedral, so drop in for lunch or coffee after visiting the Cathedral.

My visit to this place is part of course held by MSM. The owner give us insight about the place and what they do. You can arrange this kind of visit for a small group. They will explain to you what they use in production (the dont use regular wheat, but use some local wheat called spelt). They can also arrange to let you make some pie with it. They keep the same way they make their production since more than 100 years ago. Its not just part of production, but also preserving the tradition as also using more its local product. This is also part of their way to help better community, better with environment and on.. You can see some example of doing good business without bad effect of your local product and environment...

Not that easy to find as the signs are almost none, but if you follow the map on trip advisor then definitely you will find it. The old traditional mill is nice to see and may be very educational for the kids. The desert shop is very good as well.

a small but beautiful spot in Maastricht. The mill brings you back to the middle ages. You can also have some coffee with cake there, baked with flour grounded by the mill.

We found Bisschopsmolen on TripAdvisor and we were super glad we went there. There are 3 entrances: one to the old part of the bakery, one to the cafe and one to the shop.In the old part you can see an old mill stone and outside the mill wheel, which dips into a tiny river. Definitely worth seeing. If you go through the old door to your right you reach the cafe. The cafe serves great pie and baguette with selfmade creams cheese (and lots more). While you eat you can watch the bakers at work. (At least in the smaller If he two rooms there are). If you want to take some great bread or other fresh made food, you go through the the cafe to the little shop. They also sell baking mixtures for different kinds of bread. Nice idea for a souvenir. :)Go and visit!

As students, we have been there at midday, following the good tripadvisor rate of this quick restaurant. In conclusion, ... go there only for desserts !! And don't take what they call "toasts": It will full you withou any pleasure !! Sandwichs are great. We were enable to eat anything else after those awful toats ... such a shame when we see how nice look dessert !

This little cafe was the perfect place for us to have breakfast: it is an authentic working bakery that has been around for hundreds of years. Alongside the bakery you can view the water wheel, as well as take a peak into their delicious smelling kitchen. The food was good, and the atmosphere made it memorable.

Wouldn't say it was an earth shattering attraction, but definitely interesting and worth checking out if you're in the area. Bakery is definitely worth your time: very yummy! (And cheap for big city girls like me)

Probably one of the oldest water mills in the country, this place still makes their own bread and everything else! The cakes and local organic apple juice are terrific!

This is a great place for coffee and cake, and the bakery shop looks excellent, but the water mill itself can be seen in about 2 minutes and isn't particularly informative. So whilst it probably rates as very good as a cafe, as a tourist attraction I would probably rank it as poor. Are the pies the best pies/cakes ever? Not especially, it's good home cooking but quite rustic.

A nice place to sit and have a lovely cup of coffee and a piece of housemade pie. Very friendly waitress. We also visited the shop and bought bread, biscuits and muesli.

When in Limburg, you have to try their local pie, or vlaai. Here they have a wide variety, all kinds of different flavors and they make them fresh from mostly local ingredients. Even their coffee and tea is special. It's a bit small inside, and when were were there (Sunday around noon) it was very noisy. But it was great to have their pie for breakfast.
