An outstanding landmark Of WARWICK, worth a visit especially the tower which offers spectacular views for miles around on clear days.

It is a beautiful church with many interesting features, including floating buttresses, and it was flooded with light and sunshine. Like many old churches it is undergoing lots of renovations and the things we really wanted to see were inaccessible, i.e tomb of Robert Dudley. Despite so many wonderful things in this church, it felt cold and had very little atmosphere

We visited on a lovely sunny but windy day it was worth the climb up 160 steps to see the views across Warwick. The church is lovely too and there was a rehearsal of a choir for Mozarts requiem mass whilst we were there which sounded amazing, a definite added bonus!

Popped in on a whim and had very friendly welcome. Husband very affected by the regimental chapel. Amazing architecture and history. For a quiet and peaceful 1/2 hour its well worth a visit.

This Church is full of history, and still continues to be a place of worship for today's community. It is also a museum, with memories and artefacts from local Army regiments, and the tombs of Earls of Warwick and Leicester, from times gone by.The staff on duty are full of enthusiasm, and willing to spend time, discussing the people and events that are relevant to the Church. And.................... they know their stuff! A wonderful place to spend an hour or so.

We really enjoyed our visit today. We visit every church, abbey and cathedral we can but I have to say this was possibly the sunniest and brightest we've ever visited. Huge windows and a very open layout make it feel very spacious. A really lovely lady greeted us at the door and handed us info packs free of charge. The church itself is very old so has many different 'layers' of history, architecture and interest. The crypt was particularly interesting. There was also mention of climbing the tower although we didn't have time today we would definitely return to do this.Really worth a visit.

This is a lovely medieval church with an impressive exterior and fine interior. We were met by a lovely lady who handed us a guide of the church with plenty of useful information on it and stated that she was available to answer any questions we might have. Then it was off on our own to potter about as we pleased. Unfortunately the Beauchamp chapel was out of bounds when we visited which was a shame but did not spoil our visit.To top it off it is free to visit with them only asking for a donation as you leave which we were happy to make but there was no pressure to do so.

The exterior of the church is beautiful. It is free to enter. We were greeted by two lovely ladies who offered their help if we had any questions. We walked around on our own, visiting the Beauchamp chapel, among other parts of the church. They do have a brochure to take when you are walking around which is helpful. Once we were finished in the church we asked to go up the tower. There is a small fee for this. Be aware that the steps are narrow, spiraled and many! they are not all the same size either. Keep this in mind if it will cause you any difficulty. There are windows on the way up to view the town. Once at the top it was quite windy, of course, but the view of Warwick, including the castle was amazing. Well worth the hike up the stairs! It was a gray day, but still beautiful. The steps down can be just as challenging, be careful. We loved out visit.

Ok, I must come clean. I am a member of the congregation here. But I feel passionately about this church as a wonderful place of worship and historical significance. Simon Jenkin's book "England's Thousand best Churches" rates the Collegiate Church of St Mary Warwick as a five star church. There are only a dozen in that category. The church has a fine musical tradition with robed Boys and Men's Choir, Girls choir and the Scholars. The young people are offered a first class free musical education and a chance to tour to great cathedrals and foreign tours. (Germany 2015). There is a welcome desk and guide cards available in many languages. There are also guides who will take you round the church and show you the most interesting parts. Recent television programmes focused on the Beauchamp chapel a huge chantry chapel built by Richard de Beauchamp as his final resting place. It is one of the most glorious chapels in all England. The nave of the church was destroyed in the 17th century by the fire of Warwick, Now there is a baroque Nave a huge tower (the build was advised by Sir Christopher Wren) and a norman crypt. Truly a special place to visit when you are in Warwick, especially after visiting the castle.

We called in to see this lovely church whilst passing. A warm welcome from Rita and Sue was appreciated. We were given a short guided tour of the main parts of the church, and wandered around to see the rest. The choir stalls are a lovely more modern development. No charge for the tour but like all churches a donation is gratefully received for maintainance. A nice visitor shop is available before you leave.

Historically fascinating building, particularly the Beauchamp Chapel. The choirs of St Mary's are superb. A girls choir and boys with men choir, both musically outstanding - cathedral music in a market town. Regular concerts and services are a treat.

We went fairly early on a Tuesday morning. The church itself is free to go in. The crypt is incredible when you look at the dates on the tombs. Coming from Canada , it's hard to believe that this church was there before anyone even thought about N America. The climb up the tower, which costs a few pounds is well worth it. But it's a major workout!!

We received a nice welcome here from a guide and enjoyed the tour round the buildings that was well laid out and described on the handout she gave us. Definitely worth a visit.

We visited here to see the annual Christmas Tree Competition in December & were amazed by the building, it's huge & so interesting. The volunteers were very helpful giving us a tour into the small chapel & then the crypt. The crypt is great & there is lots of information to read about the inhabitants who lived & died in Warwick. If visiting the area this is a must as well as the Castle!

lots to see, medieval church, classic example of 14th and 15th century architecture. Always open, and the city is worth a visit as well.
