This is a great family-friendly campsite. I travelled back in August with a group of friends for a sociable weekend. The facilities are excellent - with a shower and toilet block close by.We camped out in tents, however there are also facilities for caravans too. There's plenty of space to enjoy a game of cricket or Frisbee - like we did. We also headed on to the lake in a dragonboat pedaloe which we rented, and the more adventurous of us rented out the speed boat for banana-boat type activities. All in all, it was a great weekend, and I'd be happy to go back there.

I visited Croft Farm with my boyfriend in August 2013 and then again in August 2014. The fact that we returned probably speaks for itself; it is an excellent campsite and we had a great time both years! There is plenty to do both within the campsite and in the surrounding area. The campsite is very clean and all the staff are extremely helpful. Lovely clubhouse with great food and live music on Saturdays. The lake is just stunning and there is a great range of water sports available. We hired a pedal boat for 30 min and it was great fun. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone interested in a nice holiday!

We brought around 120 students to Croft Farm Waterpark for a weekend fieldtrip. The food was excellent and plentiful. The staff were very helpful and the accommodation simple but just what we needed. We also used the katacanoes for both transport and science on the river. The students loved it and we thought it was very good value for money.

Loved Croft Farm. Will go regularly in the future. We stayed in one of the new Log Cabins during Lakefest, 2014. Very comfortable indeed. Just a word about Lakefest. Our 3rd time at these events, great music, good food, facilities ok if inclement, though spoils it a little. Nice clubhouseand restaurant overlooking the Lake. If you are into watersports which we were not then there is something for the kids. Had occasion to speak to the management during our stay and found them helpful and attentive. Great family in charge. Alex just a lovely person

In reply to the review by "mummytl" the management of Croft Farm express their surprise that such a review could be published as it is so negative, inaccurate in places and far from most other guest opinions as can be seen from other reviews.I note that the author of this review is a seasoned caravaner and I am therefore very surprised that no other reviews have been submitted by her about other camping sites. Indeed this is borne out by the only other 2 reviews she has submitted to Trip Advisor where she writes equally damming reports on businesses that otherwise have excellent reputations. The management would like to correct some of the inaccurate and misleading comments written by in this review as follows:-It states on the Lakeside website that the facilities are open every day until 25 Oct. Your visit was the 27th Oct.We do not advertise that we have wifi throughout the site, we do not advertise wifi at all.The costs of hiring water sports equipment is clearly advertised on the website and it is entirely up to the customer if they choose to take advantage of this facility. The gym is mentioned and again this is an extra excellent facility and obviously incurs extra cost. There are plenty of water taps throughout the site, there are some areas of formal layout with hard standing, some areas are less formal, and these are popular with groups. There is a well signed reception and mostly customers are shown to their pitches but being a mid-week arrival this was seen to be unnecessary as the customer could make their own choice. We have more than sufficient toilets and showers for the number of pitches on site. The indoor play area was open during the week, not as many hours as the peak season but it was certainly open.At Croft Farm we listen to genuine complaints and try to ensure the guest enjoys their stay but we note this guest has already decided not to return.

I have had the pleasure of staying at Croft Farm many times, sometimes in good weather and sometimes not so good, but always a brilliant experience. Genuinely great helpful staff and very good facilities. I've camped there and have more recently stayed in the pods. These perfectly formed pods are such fun for everyone. Firstly, I stayed there with my kids two teenagers, then we stayed again with my mum too, and our two dogs. A good sized, secure field to walk the dogs which was lovely. The food served in the cafe/bar was of a very high standard, and I'm happy to personally recommend the homemade lasagne, honestly sooooo good!! Sunday lunch was just fab too. Showers are always lovely and warm and clean, no queues either. When we stayed last time the bar in the evening was full, a great atmosphere and loads of happy people. There are sometimes live bands, or perhaps a quiz night. But even if there is nothing going on there is a pool table and a table football game, a firm favourite with my kids. Breakfast is delicious too, all out on a hot plate served and cooked freshly every day. I just can't recommend this place enough. I want to move in really!!!

We stayed here with family on a bank holiday weekend. The park is lovely. The toilets and showers were clean, the staff were friendly and there is a massive field for dogs to be run in. The park is very close to Tewkesbury and easily accessible from the motorway. It is very good value for money and the children loved that we were pitched on the lake and could launch their Kayak so easily. It's a shame that there is no shop on site as arrived late and didn't have any milk etc for breakfast. Would definitely recommend and will visit again.

Stayed at one of the new lodges on a £199 weekend break. The place was lovely, nice to have a kitchenette and showering facilities. The owners seem very friendly and it's well run.On the downside, I'd say the clubhouse is a bit tired and run seemingly by kids. The toilets in the bar were not clean and overflowing with used toilet roll which no one seemed to care about. A bit of a spruce up would work wonders. We will go back in the future but hope the log cabins aren't hugely increased in price as the £199 deal was just about right.

We booked a weekend camping trip to Croft Farm for myself, my husband and our two children (age 5 and 2). Absolutely fantastic price, £66 with a hook up.The actual site itself is clean, beautiful surroundings especially the view that we had of the lake from our pitch! The showers in the gym were clean and never busy, don't think the loos were cleaned that regularly and at one point there was no loo roll for a day which wasn't the best and they ran out of water in the cafe but to be fair there was a huge booking at the activity center that weekend so I guess it's just a case of maybe being more prepared when they know they have a lot of guests. I used the loos attached to the water centre once and never went back in, it smelt awful :-(Check in was fairly easy and quick, and we were shown to our pitch within about ten minutes. Overall our stay was good, the kids had loads of fun. The only things that kind of ruined it for me were two things. The first is a minor thing, but the area for washing dishes that was closest to our pitch (behind the gym) was filthy! I had to clean the sinks before I used it which was annoying! Quite often had bird poo on them due to them being so exposed to the outside. Not sure what the other sinks were like the other side of the lake. The other thing was actually quite a big deal for me was the constant flock of day visitors that were having bbq's and picnics right outside our tent!!For £5 day visitors are allowed to come in and use the lake, picnic there etc which is a great idea. But every day we had people setting up blankets etc right by our pitch! Personally, if I pay for a camping pitch, I kind of expect it to be just for campers. My kids felt a bit too intimidated to play outside the tent and the visitors left their bbq's on the grass! We went out one day and we couldn't park our car by our tent because of visitors' cars and they had moved a bench in it's place! I did mention it to the guy at the bar but he said to have a word with reception, which was closed at this point due to it being a Sunday afternoon. This might be something the site takes into consideration, as if I am perfectly honest, it would put me off going back. My kids enjoyed their weekend camping which is the main thing but I think one too many little things kind of diluted the enjoyment for me.

We spent two nights in a motorhome at Croft Farm Waterpark. Our pitch was hardstanding and right next to the lake. The pros:- Lots of water-sports equipment to hire- Good food and pretty quick service in the clubhouse- Lakeside showers were ample in number and always clean- Elsan and waste water drainage were well placed and easy to access- The site quietens down after 11pm, because the site manager insists on itThe (few) cons:- Equipment hire and introductory water-sports coaching is overpriced (this may have been why the lake appeared under-used, on occasion)- Clubhouse showers and toilets need updating and a stricter cleaning regime would help- Clubhouse stops serving food at 4pm on Sundays!- The kid's play-park could do with a faceliftOverall, we would definitely recommend the park and will be going back in the near future.

We went to this campsite for a weekend. The setting is lovely. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast in the bar is good. We hired kayaks and had a good time on the water. Facilities were clean. Excellent campsite all round, would recommend going here!

Just returned from our first visit to Croft Farm and will definitely be visiting again. Weather was awful but we still had a lovely time. As tent owners we rely on clean toilets/showers with hot water - the toilet/shower block (behind Gym and Tonic) is by far the best one we have ever encountered. As for the dish washing facilities - watch out for the hot tap! A constant supply of lovely hot water to clean our pots and pans. Just a thought though, a cover over this area would be lovely as thanks to the British weather we did get a bit wet washing up! The staff at the water sports centre deserve a mention as they were really friendly and very helpful when we enquired about booking some activities for a children. Another added bonus was the designated dog area where we could let our bonkers dog off his lead for a runaround! See you all again soon :)

I was very impressed by Croft Farm and the facilities within the site. Very well run and attention to detail is very evident. The ground itself was holding a lot of water due to the rain, and some pools of water were seen throughout, this is not a negative view of the park, merely an observation if you were to camp longer than a few days in heavy rain, it may be an issue for some on non hard standing pitches.Once in reception you receive a key fob for the electronic barriers, deposit £5 which was not a problem. Granite driveways through the park so no problem driving around. The showers were some of the best I have seen, plenty of room nice secure door and they even have a hook, you will be surprised how many sites don't have them. All in all a really good site and will return to use the water facilities far more than we did.

My Husband and I arrived on Monday 5th May 2014 and stayed 2 nights with our Motorhome, the facilities are lovely and clean, more than one shower which also had plenty of hot water. We would recommend this site.
