Even though between seasons there was plenty to see. The fountain combines visual and sound and very relaxing. Winter garden had plenty of colour and smell of perfume from the mahonia and other shrubs.

What a great find - we visited on a cold March day but I can see a visit in Summer would be lovely too. Plenty to see - the Winter garden was pretty, and the greenhouses are fascinating. Lovely café with great range of snacks and drinks. I would love to come back when its sunnier and explore further!

Rated 2nd only to Kew in UK, the gardens are on the sightseeing bus tour and I recommend getting off for an hour. £5 entry is great value, we were blessed with a lovely day and the orchid exhibition in glasshouse and the outside winter garden were both stunning.Big enough to be peaceful but small enough to navigate comfortably, a really nice spot.

Never having been there before we were pleasantly surprised. A wonderful spread of snowdrops of all sizes and a particularly informative display of orchids.

Our first visit to the Garden on a bright, crisp, Sunday morning. The snowdrops just inside the Station Road Gate provided the perfect prelude and armed with the map provided, and a friendly welcome we walked the various paths, eventually leading us to the cafe and the excellent and informative greenhouses. This is a superb attraction only a short walk from the City centre and balanced with the afternoon at the Fitzwilliam showed Cambridge at it's best. Beautifully maintained, and with the added benefit of different experiences as the seasons change, we will certainly be making return visits.

I have visited this botanic garden over the past 30 years, in all seasons and still return. There is much to enjoy but becoming a member gives extra information to really make the most of visits.I particularly like the part of the garden that is planted to suit the climate of this part of East Anglia (no watering needed!)

Its a nice quiet place to go for a walk. Parking can sometimes be a issue and there are two entrances. Food at the cafe is also very nice.

Lovely February walk through the gardens but watch out for the busy body wardens armed with walkie talkies. The slightest deviation from admiring foliage will see one jump out of the bushes at you and tell you to cease and dessist. Only wish that were as relaxed as the paying public!

A haven from the bustle of the City, has indoor areas and a great cafe. You need to spend a few hours here, changing seasons make it a repeat experience.

Made the visit in Jan with frost on the ground - What a place! The glass houses were full of plants from every habitat you could think of... Ideal for a winter visit. To get the best, I think one visit in each season is called for and have already set a date for my spring trip.Great cafe cafe with nice staff and very good food

One to rival Kew, but on a smaller scale. The herboatoreum is exhaustive. Love it here. The best time to visit is, as expected, in the spring when it's in full bloom.

I recently visited this place. It's a big experience in my whole travel history. I booked a day trip with Whistle A Cab, it's new company but very cheap Cambridge trip package they offer. I also visited some other places. As a whole this town is very historical and full with ancient establishment.

An green oasis amongst a bustling city. Worth a visit if you enjoy plants and are keen to find out more about them.
