Crawley can be proud (and you don't hear that often)! Tilgate is a great place to stroll, spot plants, mooch the walled garden, jog and enjoy animals. Excellent value as the animals are only £2 for adults and £1 for children and parking is £1 an hour. £2 to see meerkats and otters and snakes and lots lots more! I strongly suspect that this best kept secret in Crawley will become more popular as a result of the hard work that is clearly put in. Go Crawley Council.

What a fantastic park with great amenities. Lovely views of the lake and beautiful to walk round also to see the fantastic flowers and forest area. I cannot wait to spend a lazy summer day there with an ice cream. Go ape is also there and car parking facilities.

Great place for a family visit. Plenty of things to keep children amused, which makes happy adults. For the price of a parking place,£1 per hour,it is excellent value.

one of the most stunning places in Crawley. You could be miles from anywhere. Good facilities. Has potential for much more use.

Great place for kids, there's animals, a maze, playground, places to eat or picnic, a lake and woods and all for next to nothing apart from the car park and a small fee in season to visit the animals. Fantastic value all round.

Tilgate Park makes a great non expensive day out for the whole family. The only charges made at this park are what it costs for the Go Ape Tree Experience, an attraction for all ages., the hire of boats in the summer on the lake and if you choose to eat in the café or restaurant within the park. Recently revamped the lake is teeming with wild life. There are excellent picnic areas and at the fringes of the park is the wonderful Tilgate Forest loved by walkers and dog owners alike. There is a 'Peace garden', a walled garden and a small zoo which now has Meerkats added to its animals. A well stocked recently revamped childrens playground proves a great attraction to younger members of the family Thoroughly recommend to all.

A great place for a leisurely walk. The Nature Centre is a good place to see a variety of animals, including some, like the turkeys, who roam freely. Also a very pleasing golf course.

We went here after coming onto trip advisor to see what was around the area of Crawley while we were there for two days for valentines weekend. We were not disappointed with this country park which is as people say right beside a council estate. Beautiful surroundings for a stroll , you could spend quite a bit of time here especially in nice warm weather. Car park is pay and display but quite cheap. Go ape tree top walks , massive lake which people go fishing, different walking trails, park for children, outside gym, maze, even a mini farm!! A restraunt and a cafe .. I thought this was a great place to go for couples as well as families

I've lived in Crawley all my life and it is a blessing to have such a large green space close to home. In recent years it has undergone development and now boasts two Go Ape courses (one for adults and one for juniors), new facilities near the Nature Centre and better flood defences.Recently on a casual walk around twilight, I saw herons, ducklings, frogs and bats all taking advantage of the lake.I great place to explore and it's worth walking off the paths to see what you can discover for yourself. The car park is expensive, but you can find free parking off-site if you don't mind a bit of a further walk.

Tilgate Park offers fantastic facilities for all the family. A fantastic animal centre, childrens' play area and nature trail. Picnic facilities too. And all for the price of a car park.

We visited during the half term week. It was a sunny day and a bit chilly, but despite this the park was very busy. We went to the Nature Centre, which was very popular. The Meerkats had the biggest crowd. After this we visited the Maze, which was good fun. This is a beautiful park, with it's large lake and mature trees. We saw a deer running through the trees, much to our delight.I would recommend a visit here anytime of the year.

Great place to walk and at the same time see some wild life. No too far from the hotel and quite close to a golf course as well

My wife brought me here with the kids, (she used to frequent this place a lot when she was a kid) I was thoroughly impressed, there's loads to do from an ariel assault course, Tilgate Zoo, a park for the kids to play in, to which we had to drag our 3 year old from, beautiful grounds to explore, places to picnic as well as enjoy the American Steak house restaurant right by the kids park, there are lakes, walks, rare trees, oh and did I forget to mention the maze to play chase and scare the kids in!!! A brilliant day out, you could either spend a little or spend a lot, ideal for all purse strings with only paying a fiver for all day parking... Oh, 1 more thing, lots of hidden Geo Caches for those who are in the know!!
