We went on Mothers Day and really enjoyed it. Not cheap for what it is as it is a small park (£32 for 2+2 kids) but there are some decent things here and some good interactive things (like holding snakes).Only 4 stars as the kids lunchbox, at £4, was utterly laughable with half a hotdog sized roll, tiny yoghurt, one bag of crisps and one small chocolate bar (other options, also small, are available) - my kids were left hungry. Adult lunches were also limited, but the range was better... Bring a packed lunch...

I've just got back from a day at Woodside and have to say I had a wonderful time there with my family. The park is spotless, the staff are helpful and very knowledgeable and you can see how much they love what they do. The big cats are sensational. It really was a privilege to see such amazing cats with such horrid stories, relaxed and enjoying the sunshine.meerkats are brilliant, otters great, the birds are all in such great condition and the wolves are fascinating. getting so close to a sloth was not expected (husband excluded!) and I got some pretty awesome photos of an awesome animal. The staff who did the reptile handling helped our kids (5 & 6 years) hold snakes as they were a little scared. The staff were so patient and not pushy at all and both our girls held one. They were so proud of themselves, and still are now we're home!! I really do not have a bad word to say. I even think the food is reasonably priced too!We will definately go back :)

Don't listen to the heinous doil's who have overly high expectations. if you have gone to a wildlife centre to enjoy the parking facilities then you've missed the point of this place. Tesco is about 15 minutes from there and they have a lovely newly laid car park that you could really lick your pretentious lips over. the Kangaroos are advertised outside for the zoo nearby! It has loving hard working staff who actually have a passion for the animals kept there. They work hard to keep the animals in the best conditions. They have just last year spent £250,000 rescuing 2 tigers who were in a really bad condition. Also if you didn't see the massive signs with the times written three or four times during the route then you need glasses, (I suggest 'vision express' in Lincoln, £75 for two pairs of varifocals). To close, the staff love the animals and make the most of what they have. Give them some credit for the massive task the undertake daily. Defiantly Visit!!!!!!

A really good day out for every age. Plenty of car parking (no charge) Entrance fee varies from adults, seniors and children but about average price for this kind of day out. You can stay as long as it suits and you make the most of what you want. We thought it was good value. Warm welcome from the staff and can recommend the café food. we had the jacket potatoes,(£4.50) hot and plenty of fillings choices and generous helpings. Tea and coffee good quality. Sandwiches and rolls fresh.(large size £3.50) Food is freshly prepared and good prices. The park is planned well and excellent viewing. They have a list of feeding times. Animal shows as well. It was particularly good to see the tigers (Tango from the esso advert and Julia) Both tigers enjoying `their time` in a great enclosure with a better quality of life for them. The 2 lynx are beautiful and there are white wolves and various other animals all engaging to observe. Plenty to see and do throughout the park. The keepers are friendly and helpful and do a great job. Its a clean and well cared for attraction, with plenty of facilities for visitors. Paths are wide enough for buggies and wheelchairs and enclosures are easy to see all the animals. Well thought out. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and a big thank you to all at Woodside Can recommend you visit.

Wet, rainy day and it didn't look much when we arrived, but pleasantly surprised. Thought it was a bit expensive for a small place, but changed our minds once we'd been there a while, staff were lovely. One of the tigers bit the other one so we went to tell someone, they were on it immediately, separated them and checked the hurt lion out, we went back to check and he was chilled out in his pen. Would go back again.

Visited woodside twice now, once on a cold day in Jan 2014 and the other in the summer school holidays. The January experience was fantastic. We took our 1.5 yr old and she absolutely loved it. As soon as you walk in you meet a parrot, an otter and a load of meerkats, the latter two of which are at perfect eye level for a toddler staring contest. You can also get little pots of mealworms for 20p or something which you can then feed to certain animals which is great fun. There were literally only 20 guests in the entire park so we had pretty much all the attractions to ourselves and not only do you get to see creatures close up but you get to hold / touch them too. We held snakes, lizards, rabbits, guinea pigs and even an Emu egg (I had no idea they were green). Some of the more adventurous even got to hold a tarantula.Downside: We hadn't taken any food with us and the cafe had a really poor selection, hot drinks and cake, that was about it..Summer was a bit different, although the staff did comment on it being abnormally busy that day. We went in the middle of school holidays and there were no parking spaces left (and we arrived as it was just opening), people had just been abandoning their cars on the grass verges on the main road and there were long queues to get in. The birds of prey display, the barn display, the meeting the animals display were all packed to the rafters. Available seating was long gone and there were children sat on the floor covering every spare inch. We took a late lunch to ensure we managed to get a bench for my young daughter and elderly grandmother but even at 2pm there will still people just sat around covering every spare blade of grass. There must be a health and safety quota on how many people are allowed in the park at any one time. Had to be over 500 people in there that day at least.Any way, it really is a fantastic day out when not too busy with very reasonable prices. The butterfly house wasn't open in the winter which is understandable, but everything else was. The white wolves and bat enclosure were my personal favs.

We went to Woodside yesterday and had a fantastic day. The wardens enthusiasm for the park and animals is infectious as they told us all about the animals and attractions. Being Christmas time they included a visit from Santa (with gifts for all the children) and mulled wine and mince pies at no extra cost. Santa took extra time to speak to all the kids which was really nice. Many places would charge extra for this but not Woodside. I love this place and really appreciate everything they do for animals.

We visited Woodside recently and even though reviews had said it would be ok for half a day we were there from 10.30 until about 2.30 pm and could have stayed for longer, it was a lovely relaxed atmosphere with some really knowledgeable and interesting staff. The tigers and lynx were especially interesting and the owls and lemurs were also good to see. It would be especially good for children from around 4 until about 12? There was also a couple of small parks and a picnic area and café there too. Overall worth a trip!

We have visited Woodside several times. It is always a very interactive experience, and quite educational. The staff are great, there are bird and animal activities and although it is quite small, you can easily spend a day there, especially now there is a tiger, Lynx, wolves and even a fox. Check opening hours over the winter period.

I have been here a few times now and taken my partner and his nieces and nephews with us, and they really enjoyed it! The staff here are really friendly and informative. Wide range of animals which all looked very well looked after and cared for. There is a lot of written information available near all of the animals so you are able to learn more about the species. I have never been yet and seen a show, but despite this I have still enjoyed it each time! Would recommended.
