Had a fabulous day here, we were lucky to have lovely weather. Great walks and wonderful views, so many different paths! We walked up to the tower, past the old house and the deer park. Stopped for a nice cup of tea and scone and we're able to sit out in the sun before heading back to the car. Walked for about three hours and really enjoyed it.

Always enter from the newton linford end. If you are there in the morning the light reflecting off the lake is beautiful, lots of photo opportunities

Great for walks in the sunshine (or rain!). Large area, so you can get away from the madding crowd. Deer and other wildlife. Cafe and toilets in the centre of the park, plus cafes in Newtown Linford. Just a few miles from Leicester city.

One of the most beautiful places on this earth. Scenery is second to none. Lovely walks. Nice cafés with outside seating for summer months. We live a short walk away, have a parking permit and visit most days walking the dogs or simply strolling together taking in the beautiful park.

A wonderful oasis of calm in the middle of England, loved the deer and the old house, wonderful views across what was once Charnwood Forest.

The first good weather day of spring was a fantastic day for a wander around the park with our kids. A good solid track for pushchairs and bikes and miles and miles of woodland and hillside tracks for the kids to discover the outdoors and see the deer. The park is abound with wildlife and good old-fashioned fun for kids and the young minded. From paddling in the river to adder spring in the bracken.I grew up in the area so may be biased. Of you're in the area it's all worth the effort. Just be aware of limited (Pay & Display) parking. Bring some cash and grab a cuppa of your in the villages.

Coming from the city there's not much getting away from the hustle and bustle of everything... This place is so peaceful and tranquil it's insane...! Beautiful breath taking views of Leicester and the surrounding countryside... I try to go at least once a week weather permitting...!

Lovely after a Sunday lunch to walk off those extras enjoyed earlier. Beautiful, you feel next to nature, lovely place to walk and take in the wild life - deer's and peacock's.

I have been a regular visitor to Bradgate Park all my life and I've never tired of the outstanding beauty and haunting historical features it possesses. It is steeped in history (Lady Jane Grey spent her last few days there in the castle, now the old ruins) and has been untouched ever since. There are acres and acres of bracken filled fields, woodlands and walks galore with a beautiful river with waterfalls running through! Also a beautiful lake is situated in the centre of the park and literally hundreds of deer roam free (DO NOT approach or feed them!). There is ample parking and overflow parking, though you do have to pay & display for the duration of your visit. There is a lovely Cafe situated by the lake with seating outside which is perfect on a lovely day. Be aware that in school holidays and especially Sundays in good weather the park and facilities get extremely busy (massive queues in the cafe etc), so if you feel you want to make a relaxing day of the park and Newtown Linford then choose a week day! There are other lovely Cafe's and Restaurants in Newtown Linford so ensure you have a walk around the village too, especially the quaint little church by the main entrance gates to the park (very chocolate box setting!!). Dogs are allowed but must be kept in check with children and the deer (and please clean up after your dogs for everyone's reassurance).

Beautiful scenery, good parking and plentiful paths over tricky terrain - bracing walk rewarded by hot chocolate

Thank you for our review. If you become a regular visitor (roughly once a fortnight or more), you will save money by purchasing an annual season ticket, the price of which has recently come down by £25.

I have visited Bradgate park for over 40 years old, first with my parents and wider family and now with my own children. It's a great place to have a wander, a picnic, a paddle in the stream with fishing nets, climbing on the rocks running around with a football - all the simple things in life abs the children love it. Parking does cost but the. I don't mind as I value the park being there and without the parking fees that round prove difficult . Don't change Bradgate park we don't need lots of fuss keep it simple !
