Interesting to see the way the cheese is made, and to buy some. Quite a small undertaking but worth dropping in if you are passing.

I bought a cheese making day experience for myself for Christmas. I hoped it would be fun and it certainly was. Warm and friendly people working together in a beautiful part of the country making delicious cheese, This trip was everything could have wished for and I highly recommend it to anyone thinking about learning more about cheese. I went back the next morning to help salt the blue cheeses and turn the Little Hereford. It was great to be part of the team. The shop has some wonderful local produce alongside the cheeses for sale and I came howm 'stocked up' with gifts,

Stop here every year on way to and from our October holiday in Dolgellau. Yet again this year the Little Hereford cheese and homemade soup and bread made a great lunch. Then we stocked up on Smoked Hereford, Little Hereford and Blue Monk cheeses, local beers and liqueurs - in both directions!

All the staff were friendly upon arrival and I decided to do the tour. It was good to see the process from start to finish and you could tell the lady who took the tour was passionate about her craft. Lots of cheese to sample and buy as well as other locally sourced products. There is also a cafe for a sit down.

After visiting the Mousetrap Cheese Shop in Ludlow on our last visit. We decided on visiting here thus time and what a delightful place it is. The cafe is lovely proper tea in cups and saucers. Fresh food and all home made. The selection if cheeses made on the premises to eat in or take away or both is amazing. Hubby went on the tour of the dairy. For £3 he had a personal tour how lucky was he. 30 minutes around the dairy looking at the whole process of how their cheese is made. For a foodie this was wonderful for him. Whilst he visited I sat and read their own cookbook later buying a copy to take away. Sampled their fares and decided on lunch. All in all a very pleasant afternoon. Well worth a visit and only a 30 minute drive from Ludlow.

We bought some of their cheese from Ludlow market, and found that the dairy was close to where we were staying so decided to visit. The place is delightful, with a shop and cafe, with wonderful food and drink. We paid a small fee and had a lovely guided tour round the dairy. It was totally fascinating, and very informative, and the lady cheese maker was so nice (I want to work there!)

Came here for lunch with husband and baby. Unfortunately missed out on outdoor seating. Ordered the cheese board for two - what great value. The cheese is divine! Recommend for a lunch with a difference. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the food they serve. Very good value.

A quaint little cottage industry. Wonderful cheese and good cafe. The tour is well worth the price. Very informative and fun. A good hidden gem.

A lovely little stop for those who like cheese or just like to see how things are made. We took the 30 minute tour (£3 per person) and found the cheesemaker who lead the tour informative and entertaining. The tour is great for children too as you are invited to do the 'splat' test which is throwing bits of half formed cheese on the floor! The cafe and shop were staffed by charming and helpful people. Don't forget to buy some of their great cheese on the way out - I recommend the Blue Monk!

Lovely cafe(great cakes and coffee), staff generally pleasant. Cheese tour fascinating and a lovely lady took us round and really went out of her way with the kids. Only half tour but can linger in cafe!!!

My daughter and I stopped here for a glass of local Herefordshire apple juice on the way to Hay on Wye and enjoyed a pleasant sojourn in the sunny garden. There was a sneaky chicken who alternated between looking for grubs and begging at the tables which kept us amused. Keep your fingers clear of her!I would have liked to have purchased cheese as it looked so delicious, however I forgot to bring a cool box and didn't want to risk spoiling it. Would return if I was in the area again, very handy for the main road.

Amazing place to visit for cheese lovers! I organised a hen do lunch here with the help of the Dairy team who were incredibly helpful and accommodating! We had a really interesting mini tour of the dairy, which roused our taste buds for the amazing and very tasty cheese lunch that followed!

Lovely cheese, lovely man serving, pity about the miserable ladies doing the food, a smile would of gone a long way, obviously don't like their job!Nevertheless it didn't spoil our visit, unfortunately we didn't get to see the cheese making but will go back sometime to see it. Bought some lovely cheese

Recently visited this fascinating dairy to have a look at how the cheese is made. The lady (owner) who showed us round was so enthusiastic about the cheeses they made, the tour was so interesting, she didn't rush us round and was more than happy to answer all questions (some of them probably daft!!). On our tour there was just my husband and I and this made it feel extra special. It's a fascinating place and well worth a visit. We will never look at cheese in the same way again!!! Homemade cakes are wonderful too.

We loved our visit to Monkland Cheese Dairy and had an educational tour with a very detailed and entertaining explanation about how the cheeses are made. We sat in the garden afterwards and had some really lovely tea and cake. Unable to resist, we went home with 3 of the cheeses that we saw being made and big smiles on our faces. We totally recommend this as a way to pass an hour or so if in the area. We can happily say that this was one of the many highlights of our stay here in Herefordshire :P
