Thank you for your comments. I’m glad to see you enjoyed the views as well as our stunning architecture. I’m sorry you felt underwhelmed by the experience. We try to offer our visitors enough to do without crowding the view decks and obstructing the pleasure you get from the view. Our High Spy Ship Finder was introduced to help our visitors interpret the view by identifying the ships sailing in and out of Portsmouth Harbour below. The glass floor, of course, is a thrilling addition to the experience. We also encourage our guests to take as long as they wish to enjoy the view, with tables and chairs in our Café in the Clouds on view deck 2. The ticket is also valid all day so our guests can appreciate the changing view. I will keep your comments about pricing in mind and ensure that they are raised at our next pricing review. Thank you again for your comments and I hope to welcome you again in the future.Sarah Webb, general manager

At £9.50 (carers get in free) this seemed a bit pricey... I'd have been happy with a fiver. The staff are very friendly, but they stamp on you. With an ink-stamp - this allows you to come back until closing time that day. The lift takes you up fairly fast and you step out into the bottom of three decks, the largest. There's a loo on the bottom two decks. Straightaway you are looking through an expanse of curved glass (We went on a rainy day and it was still a real jolter) and over the whole of Portsmouth docks. Looking around, the views from three sides are - that old chestnut; breathtaking. There was a school-party playing in the central part which has a glass floor section. The video of Mrs.S scooting across it while whimpering is still entertaining... not for vertigo sufferers, that bit. Floor two is quite smaller, with a cafe. We didn't bother as it wasn't going to be cheap. The top floor is reached by stairs only, its open at the top with just a steel mesh between you and the clouds. A quid gets you a go on a telescope that tells you whats down there. Quite an experience and I think everyone would agree the view is impressive. Theres a gift shop on the way out selling the usual...

OK, I'll start with the slight negative and then move onto the many positives. We arrived at the Spinnaker Tower and went to the ticket desk and asked for 2 seniors tickets. We were asked by a totally unfriendly man if we had anything to prove our age "like your bus pass" We duly showed our passes, trying to make a joke by saying that we must look younger than our years - this fell on deaf ears. This same individual then proceeded to produce a stamp, I offered the back of my hand (which is where one would expect the stamp to be applied) only to receive a gesture to turn my hand over and the stamp was applied to my wrist! He then gestured for us to go on.Now, the positives start - one gets to a green painted area where you are actually asked if you want a souvenir photo taken, no pressure is applied to have photo taken and we were then directed to an area to wait for the lift. The lift attendant was very chatty, explaining that she would take us to the first viewing floor and from there we could get stairs to the second floor and then the third. However if we felt we couldn't manage the stairs we could return to the lift and she would then take us up to the second floor by lift. We walked up to the second floor, which is primarily a restaurant. The third floor is only accessible by the stairs, this is an open air floor and because it was relatively cold on the day we went, we never went onto that floor. The view from the first floor is spectacular, there are interactive terminals dotted around although these were in constant use, so I can't comment on how useful they were. Also all landmarks are displayed just above floor level, so it's easy to identify what you can see. I didn't walk across the glass floor for no other reason than it just didn't appeal to me! However looking through it makes one realise that it's a long way down!! Once we'd looked around we got the lift back to the ground floor and exited through the obligatory gift shop!Well worth a visit when in the area.

The views from the top of the tower are incredible. We were lucky that our visit was on a day when the tower was open in the evening as well, and your ticket is valid all day - so we were able to see the views in the daylight and at night. There is a transparent section of floor, through which you can see right down to the ground - takes a bit of courage to walk on it, and it's a slightly strange sensation when you first step on - but good fun! All the staff were really friendly, and the café at the top of the tower was very good.

The views are spectacular: you can see views over 26 miles on a clear day. Did not walk on the glass floor - too far down!! A very attractive tower from every angle. Well worth a visit with very helpful and friendly staff.

Every time we have visitors staying from away we spend half a day at the top of the Spinnaker Tower and nobody has been disappointed. We spend hours picking out points of interest in Portsmouth and Gosport. We loved being up there when the street lights start coming on too.

Because of the quiet season, we were able to spend as much time as we wished enjoying the wonderful views.

Thank you for taking the time to leave these comments. Whilst they are clearly not the type of comments we strive to receive, it is important that we see all feedback, good and bad. Firstly, I am pleased to read that you enjoyed the views on offer from Spinnaker Tower and found the staff so helpful. However, I am sorry to hear that you found the ticket expensive and only spent twenty minutes at the Tower. Included in a visit is the wonderful views, the glass floor sky walk, free use of the i-VIEW interactive information screens, free audio guides, the Sky Deck which is open to the elements and the opportunity to return for free as many times as you like throughout the day. I hope you’ll consider returning to the Spinnaker Tower in future for a more positive experience. Sarah Webb, General Manager

We love coming here. The views from all three levels are amazing! They have a glass floor on the 1st level which you can walk across. It's quite fun to feel your tummy turn as you step onto the glass. They take your picture in front of a green screen when you arrive, they then Photoshop a view of the tower behind you.We always buy a picture but I do think they're massively overpriced! £8 for one or £10 for two! The cafe on level two is a lovely place to go have a brew. Or even high tea but I think this needs to be booked in advance. They're always understaffed though so service is slow and good luck trying to get a clean table! It's worth the wait though. The tea is high quality, as are the cakes. Nothing beats having tea and cake at 105m above sea level! Your ticket gives you all day access so take your time, go for a little shop and then come back and enjoy some more.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. I do make sure to read all Trip Advisor reviews as feedback from our visitors are so important. I am thrilled to see that you were able to see the improvements in the café since your last visit and that our staff were, as usual, so helpful and welcoming. It is also fantastic to hear that you enjoyed the views on offer and I hope to welcome you back again soon. Sarah Webb, General Manager
