Waddeston Manor is just beautiful, the grounds were immaculate and now there is a new car park it makes the parking and entry less stressful. Despite the weather not being great we had a lovely walk around the grounds, children played in the play area. The staff were so helpful, cheerful and good to chat to about the house and grounds! Will definitely be going back!

Another wonderful visit . The House and Gardens were delightful. The staff couldn't have been more helpful . We'd certainly recommend this as a place to visit .

We visited over Christmas to view an art installation in the grounds. The main building had been beautifully illuminated to add to the experience and we all had a thoroughly enjoyable visit to the grounds. I was very impressed with the shuttle bus service that is new since my last visit, very well organised.

They had an artist create a light display over the winter months, and the Christmas lights were all up too. I'd never been before and really enjoyed it. We had afternoon tea too, which was excellent - worth the £18. Make sure you book online as it's very popular - and rightly so. Beautiful building.

We are here almost weekly - it is a fabulous Chateaux style manor and the grounds and gardens are superb. Such a photogenic building - the money shot is from the centre of the gravel drive at the front. The parterre at the back always has creative planting. Haven't been in the house for a while but it is gorgeous - each room exquisitely decorated with fine art and elegant salon style furniture. Very impressive interiors and exterior. The rooms have been perfectly preserved since the Rothschild family gave the manor to the NT. Fascinating history - literally too much to list. You visit the house on timed tickets. Even the manor wine cellar is interesting when you think of the quality and value it holds. You can just visit the gardens without the house, which are particularly spectacular from April throughout the summer. There is a children's play area complete with mini zip wire - check out the website for special events and trails for kids. The cafe in the stables is ok but the cafe in the house is very good but it does get busy. Fabulous wines available in the shop as you would expect. The grounds are ideal for a picnic - they are vast. You can stay as long as you like. Oh and the original Aviaries are still there with some very pretty birds - the aviaries are huge so the birds do have room to fly about. Highly recommended.

As National Trust members we do come here a lot. They have changed the parking system. You now park up and get a free shuttle bus to the House or The Stables Restaurant and catch the bus back from here too. We came with our 2 boys for the Prince & Princesses trail around the gardens. This took about 45 minutes, then there were craft activities and lunch to have. We spent the rest of the time in the huge wooden adventure playground. We don't go in the house so can't comment but there is plenty for children to do, such as visit the aviary, follow one of the mapped walks around the grounds, look at all the statues and of course enjoy an ice cream.

We had a wonderful day walking around Waddesdon's grounds and thoroughly enjoyed moseying around the inside of the house too. Another highlight was definitely the afternoon tea, we booked it in advance and thought it was reasonable value for money compared to what some establishments we've visited previously charge. As NT members we had free entry but would have happily payed for the wonderful day we had.

Always a great day out as a family or with friends of all ages. You can spend the day at Waddesdon or simply an hour at your own pace! A café, restaurant and gift shop are around the manor.

I didn't dislike anything. The place is nice for families as it has many grounds for children to run around. There's also playing areas specially for children. The cafe is nice, not too pricey, although the restaurant is, but the food is really good. Every Christmas they recreate a theme and decorate inside the house according to it, ans also they have the market set outside selling nice things.

If you go to Waddedsden Manor the tour of the Aviary is a must. They have a wonderful selection of birds and the tour by the keeper is extremely interesting. The Manor gardens and grounds are beautiful, take a picnic and look at the wonderful Buckinghamshire countryside.

Waddesdon is a wonderful place to visit with children and as adults. Stunning grounds, including play areas for children, picnic areas, aviary and woodland area. There are often different activities and displays going on in the grounds and the house. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Living on the door step it is somewhere we visit many times a year and we never grow tired of going as there is always something different going on and the views of surrounding countryside are really special. To go into house is so worth it, so special. Lots for children to do. Great places to eat and drink and just sit and rest. I love being a National Trust Member as you can just go and visit for half and hour if that's all the time you have or of course stay for the whole day.

A stunning house in beautiful grounds. The french style house is set in lovely countryside and handsome gardens. Even if you don't go in the house the grounds are good for an afternoon walk and there is a children's playground and an Avery with exotic birds. The cafe is also lovely, great for a cup of tea and a scone- British style food in a french style house.
