A fantastic walk and one of the shorter walks so you dont need to be an experienced hill walker. it does start off up hill but its worth every minute to see the stunning waterfall!

Snowdrops lovely and waterfalls a bit of a hill walk and muddy oIn parts but worth doing. Walked to distillery and back along road to Pitlochry.

Very hard to find - as poor signage - but well worth it when you can find it - beautiful waterfall! We actually had to ask at hotel nearby for directions!

Brilliant to see with a great viewing platform, water was full and an excellent photographic point family really enjoyed the walk up from the car park

Great walk although mostly up hill and across fields at times so appropriate clothing and footware necessary.

Its a bit hilly but worth the effort, lots of directions, take boots if going off paths, the views are good as is the waterfall views.

An outstanding very scenic enchanting small town on the A9 snuggled in between a large river and a host of huge looming mountains. Many affordable hotels, inns etc for couples singles families, elderly.Main attractions .....Black Spout wood & waterfall: a refreshing gradual ramble up the tree/fern shaded slopes to view this wonderful feature at various viewpoints.Blair Atholl Distillery: Home of the Bells Whiskey, includes a visitors tourTheatre & Dam : Beautiful theatre encroached with many facilities including an unreal pub/restaurant right alongside the huge flowing river. The Dam is intriguing too along with the famous salmon ladder leap.TIPS: Its a beautiful place, lets keep it like that......please don't drop litter Drive sensibly. Plenty of speed cameras around.Approx 1and a half hours drive North across the Firth of Forth bridge from Edinburgh AP

Well worth the short walk to view this amazing waterfall that is stunning and breathtaking. Short walk from the Athol Palace Hotel grounds that are also well worth a visit.

Visited on a beautiful winters morning. Frosty, blue skies, sun shining...with snow on the ground. A few 100 metres from Atholl Road, easy walking....well signed. Nice viewing platform. Impressive waterfall. It was so good that a professional photographer was on-site, taking time lapsed photographs. Very pleasant walk and if you wished you could walk onto Edradour Distillery.

Thankfully my fiancée convinced me to to walk around the woods and make the short climb to the waterfall. The waterfall is a beautiful sight, particularly if you can see it in full flow after it has rained. If you are ever in Pitlochry, make sure you make the effort to see this.

Visited after rain the 60 ft waterfall was a sight to see with the background of autumn leaves. The walk is well signposted and not to difficult a climb

Red & green leaves on the moist ground. Pathways that allow you to feel alone. Wonderful Beech trees overshadowing, indeed whispering to you. And all this within a short walk from the town. Another reason to be in Pitlochry

We enjoyed our hike here which was very well marked, peaceful, beautiful and altogether worthwhile. Being outdoors in Scotland is very special.

If in Pitlochry, this is a great hike. It's not too difficult and the waterfalls are magnificent. This can be part of a longer hike around Pitlochry, or a short excursion before dinner.

Beautiful walks. Edradour Distillery on the other side which was very interesting and perfect for a wee dram. Easy to follow trails.
