Had Xmas dinner there last night.it was lovely. Service great atmosphere lovely.The food was piping hot.we didn't wait too long. The bill was reasonable.

Just back after staying 5 nights mon-fri lovely walks, lovely food, breakfast very good value and servedc10-12 so perfect for a lazy relaxing stay. Lovely dinner on fri night, shame evenkng meals only available weekends though coffee bar is open to 9pm for a nice hot chocolate after evening walk, alcohol also available. We stayed in leaghan cottage , the smallest one, cosy and warm, especially with pellet stove and radiators(oil heating) so would be perfect for a winter get away. Large comfy bed, beautiful surroundings, loads of shorter walks great for not so fit leisure walkers like hubby and I, reccomend drum manor , gortin, davagh forest trails and of course an creggans own walks right outside door of cottage. All round fantastic stay.ps there are cottages available for wheelchair users and the walks are suitable for wheelchairs with a little assistance.

Wholesome food of the highest quality beautifully prepared by Anne the chef.I never tasted salmon like it before 10 out 10.We were in a group of 25 and well looked after.We will certainly be back again and what a lovely spot in the middle of a beautiful park.

I visited this place twice lately. One of those occasions happened to be when the centre was having a celebration of Cultures. There were many activities for children and some for adults too. Indeed the whole place offers opportunities for children to learn about herbs, plants, fruits, veg, etc. There are areas for camp fires, barbecues, a little tree house, a home in the trees, small tents, etc. So simple and so attractive to children yet lovely for adults to walk around. There is a coffee shop, a restaurant, and gift shop. They also have some cottages for rent if you would like to stay a while longer. The centre is 12 miles from Omagh town, and surrounded by bog land. Nice and peaceful. Food is good, and staff are very friendly and easy to deal with.

I booked a table of 13 roughly 6 weeks before my sons special occassion. I gave final numbers a week in advance. I enquired about main courses at that time and was wrongly advised. 2 days prior to our booking I'm assuming a lady manager rang to ensure I was there on time! They advised me on how busy they were. There was simply no need for this at all...it doesn't make good business sense to be rushing the client days in advance! We arrived to find our table was split in 2. The high chair was on a table of 4 which meant the parents were split as we had to entertain both tables. You look forward to going out and chatting with your family. This wasn't then possible. I had a cake for my child which was brought in half way through and they never offered to cut it. As for the meal it was mediocre at that. Turkey was tough. The mashed potatoes had a hard crust on top. The veg seemed watery as if they were frozen. Staff were very unfriendly. I don't think I saw any of them smile but then if that woman managed me I mightn't smile either. She was rude on the phone and not much better in reality. Service was rushed and courses brought out before courses finished. Basically throwing you out the door. Although it was my sons special day there was no fuss made of him at all...very dissappointing. Our meal cost went 35 pence over £180 and they watched us fumble gor change. Poorly managed and poor food and no-one even said goodbye. I won't be back nor will any of my extended family or friends.

Just back from a brilliant week-end at An Creagan as usual staff ,cottage and restaurant fantastic ,food in the restaurant was the best ever the restaurant staff as always were very friendly and courteous and nothing was to much trouble for them ,just one reservation,please remove the price off the fire pellets,the fire is one off the high spots of your magnificent cottages, already looking forward to my next trip down with our grandchildren in june they love it there as well many thanks to you all .A little piece off heaven here on earth .Many thanks folks till the next time Deirdre D BELFAST.

My family has stayed here on several occasions. The staff are first class. The cottages are a home away from home. Great scenic walks around the site. Fantastic classes/workshops/events on throughout the year. Would recommend to anyone for a peaceful break. Looking at the review before me yes there is litter and dog foul but this is normal in any public location. And we have always had nice food in the restaurant.

Our walking trails are open to the public and are animal friendly so unfortunetely dog fouling is a consequence, we try to maintain the paths as often as possible. From the moment we walked in the door I felt a warmness.We were met by Paula,I had many chats with her on the phone over the past five months while organizing the our family gathering and I must say Paula surpassed any expectations I might have had .There was group of twenty five of us.We had booked seven of the eight cottages & the group were coming in dribs & drabs,coming from all over the countryAll were met with the nicest greeting and were told to notify a member of staff if they needed anything.John runs the center was there most of the time and would check to see that all in the cottages was in order.We had food on the Friday night and found it to be fresh, hot & priced well.Over all I would recommend An Creagan,to a family,a couple or anyone looking to get away from the hustle & bustle of day to day life.Will be back again without a doubt.Thanks Paula,john & all the staff for a warm welcome.

While driving through the Sperrin Mountains, we decided we wanted to stop somewhere. I looked in the guidebook and found this place. It was a lovely little stop. There is a small display showing what the area is like in the back of the gift shop. We very much enjoyed walking around the area. We took the biodiversity trail. I hadn't realized that the vast expanses of heather we had seen around the island were bog. I had never seen bog before, so it was cool to be able to walk around in one (there are wooden boardwalks, so you don't sink). I wish we had more time in the area, because it turns out there's all sorts of things to see right here. But, we still had to get back to Dublin, turn in our car and get to our hotel. So, we didn't have time. Guess we'll just have to save our pennies and go back!

We were on our way back to portballintrae after visiting a beetling mill in wellbrook, county Tyrone. Needing a meal and coffee we called in not expecting too much as lots of places that have craft shops as part of them tend to offer cakes, sandwiches and coffee. We were very pleased to find that it served hot food, hot and cold drinks, there was a bar and quite a large dinning area. It was very well patronised by locals as there were three parties there at the time as well as other customers and us. The service was friendly and quite quick, the food was delicious and reasonable priced. It had a very well stocked craft shop with local crafts and jams available. It has an information centre with various leaflets and an exhibition.a very lucky find for us.

Went for a walk here, with family. All sorts of walks are available, distance from a couple of k's to the largest being around about 10k if you take all the options. Very good visitor centre, with a craft centre, coffee shop and restaurant. There are several art and educational and fun things going on just at the beginning of the walk

We stayed for 5 nights in the one bedroomed cottage Creggandevesky in the coldest spell of the Winter in February 2013. Were we cold? Not in the slightest, in fact we had to turn down the heating as it was so warm and cosy and we didn't even attempt to light the wood burner.This cottage was without doubt the most comfortable cottage we have ever stayed in during the Winter and we would thoroughly recommend it for a stay at any time of the year.The cottage was not luxurious but it had everything we required for our short stay and was very clean. The Centre has a nice gift shop, tourist information and a comfortable coffee bar and restaurant. Free WiFi is available in the coffee shop and the staff are very helpful.While the weather was cold, it was dry and so we were able to walk a lot and also enjoyed driving around the Sperrins.If the weather was wet it might not be as enjoyable but that can be said of most places!Very good value especially in low season so we really enjoyed our break.

The cottage was great and warm for this time of year (December). Kids loved woods, walks, play ground. My wife and I enjoyed the peace, coffee served in the tourist centre, guinness and food. This place is a gem in Northern Ireland. We stayed in a 3 bed cottage which had 3 bathrooms and was massive! Really clean, and warm with a great wood burner in the living room. Look forward to revisiting. The staff in the centre cannot be nicer, the clearer was brill, and the landlord delivered extra wood for over Chrimbo. Really really great.
