湖边有条小路,可绕湖一周,但要小心骑自行车的人!湖里可以做许多水上活动,也有小船出租,冬天还有冰上马球运动,可惜来的时候是夏天,没有机会看到.

We were advised to walk from the town, round the lake. It takes 20-30 mins and is well worth it. There is a hotel and restaurant at the end too. The walk is moderate, quite flat and through forest. The architecture on the main lake section is lovely.

Interesting stroll in winter along the lake. From there you can see the old and famous ;)In winter, the lake can be covered with a white curtain. This year, it did start, but then the weather changed drastically beginning of January, and the ice break down and melted. Ducks were having fun!If you want to eat, you have cosy restaurants alongside the lake, and prices are reasonable.

Staying in St. Moritz, this was an easy walk. First walk by the eastern side of the St. Moritz lake, then follow the clearly marked signs into the forest. The forest is extremely peaceful and quiet with clear walking trails. Walking to Lej da Staz was easy and made for some great photos. Further on from Lej da Staz you can walk to Pontresina, Punt Muragl, Celerina, etc. Any of these will do, they are all fantastic and peaceful.

This is a cozy little town that sits on the side of the mountain in front of a beautiful lake. We went in May and the town is virtually closed so we had it practically all to ourself. The streets are very narrow so I would hate to see in high season but in May it's the best

I got the first view of this lake from my hotel window, framed by the lush forest on one side with a backdrop of the high mountain range .With a fine balmy weather in the summer afternoon , I could' nt wait to take a good walk around the area . It's an easy and a short walk from the town area ,I walked through a long elevator /stairs corridor leading the pedestrain bridge to access the lake side .Can view beautiful St Moritz town from another point of the lake ,and many points as you walk around the lake .Take time to enjoy the quiet surroundings and great views ,even looking at the clear water with groups of ducks swimming around is relaxing .

You can arrive lake of staz from Celerina or from St. Moritz. The lake is small, but you can swim in the lake at summer time. There is a nice restaurant which lies adjacent to the idyllic lake. Nearby there is a great forest and the area is very authentic.

We decided to walk round the lake in the evening and after a long day on the train it didn't disappoint. The views back across to St Moritz are great and it wasn't half as far as we thought.

We took the Bernina Express train from Tirano to St. Moritz, Switzerland. It is a very upmarket town with interesting building, superb shops and, of course, the wonderful lake.On disembarking from the train we walked to the town square and enjoyed window shopping in the designer shops. We passed the Palace Hotel with its long black Rolls Royce cars lined up as runabouts for the guests at the hotel! After looking around the square we enjoyed delicious ice creams in a nearby restaurant; they have to be seen to be believed!Making our way downhill past the luxury shops we arrived at the lake edge and enjoyed a picnic lunch overlooking the water, wooded hills and steep mountains. The walk along the lakeside is very appealing. At first we thought that we would be able to walk around the lake but discovered that it narrowed at one end and then opened out for many miles. It is so beautiful there. Our return journey was by coach and we descended slowly along numerous hair pin bends. Looking out of the window the view was not always for the faint hearted!!A wonderful experience to visit St. Moritz and I would love to return there to explore it further.NB. When you leave the station it is possible to reach the upper level of the town by going through the car park and taking a series of escalators. It is possible to take a short cut to the lake without visiting the upper town.

I got to run through the woods on an August afternoon from the Youth Hostel and I found this lake unexpectedly. I took off my shirt and sneakers, and began to swim. The natural setting is wonderful, very green and peaceful. Between the lodge and the lake there is a track that can be reached by bicycle, but it is better to go for a small path inside the forest and coming out just in front of the hostel. They are exceptional forests

The lake was still frozen when we visited but there was nothing to indicate that it is a lake. Anyone could have stepped on the lake unknowingly thinking it to be ice/snow on a ground and since the ice in some parts had become thin because of the rising temperature in middle of April, it could have proved fatal as there is no boundary wall or railing and there was not a soul to be seen around, let alone a lifegaurd on a Sunday evening

Take the Palace hotel elevators or the great lift down and then a leisurely walk in a half circle around the lake. Most uplifting.

We visited St. Moritz via the Bernina Express which was a breathtaking journey with magnificent views. We sat down by the lake next to the Station and had our lunch. It was a beautiful sunny day and yet the lake was still frozen in parts which was surreal as we were in t-shirts. We spent some time walking along the side of the lake and then later looking around some of the shops. I have to say that window shopping was all we could afford as they were very exclusive. You could see people being flown into the resort by helicopter.
