There is always something to explore and discover. Great exhibitions and interesting topics. Souvenir shop has good range of choice.

The building and interior is from soviet time, making the museum to look more as a marginal attraction than as a mainstream museum. We saw the exhibition man & woman and it was interesting and worth to visit. Entrance fee was 3€.

the building is so ugly that whatever is exhibited there, just collapses. The space is limited and it's time the city pulls the building down and replaces it with something worthwhile seeing.

Visting this museum is always one of the highlights about going to Pärnu! You don't necessarily expect to visit a modern art museum when visiting a seaside resort, but it's worth it.The museum in a relatively grim builiding and quite small, but don't let these things fool you: the exhibitions are always of high quality. I have always visited in summer, when they display the exhibition 'Mees & naine' (man and woman) - even under the same theme there is always plenty of variation with the exhibition fosucing on different countries and so on. In mid-July they also run an international documentary film festival.I was positively surprised the first time I visited, and have been going back.

The building is rather old and in bad shape. There's a quiet atmosphere, with very few visitors. The exhibition itself (the XXI nude art show) was reasonably well put together. I don't know if you'd get much out of this if you weren't a regular museum guest.

The museum was really tiny, which was fine because they seemed to have a good mixture of artist representation. However, I don't know much about the history of Estonian art, so it was hard for me to judge any of the art on display in this museum. It didn't seem like there was any effort to make the museum informative or educational - I didn't see any kind of artist- or curator- statements (in Estonian or English), so it was hard to understand why the art was being shown, or what the inspiration was. It could be really interesting to learn about the Estonian art scene but they need to work on the display!

An eclectic mix of art that is different and accessible to all, We loved the concept of displaying the work of art school students and amateurs plus some famous Estonian painter too.
